5. 'Death Pill' by Death Pill 4. 'Horned Lord of the Thorned Castle' by Moonlight Sorcery 3. 'Yallah Beibe' by MC YALLAH 2. 'Sator Arepo' by Judgitzu 1. 'Seasons Dreaming Death' by GraveRipper thanks for a great video!
I've been combing through lists like these lately looking for albums I may have missed and the Enslaved record I just began listening to this month. I'm not even super familiar with their former albums but this one sounds awesome. I'm big into prog-metal and prog-rock so from what you said about this album it does make sense. Also love seeing Peter Gabriel in the mix with all the metal albums here it has a lot of cool stuff going on. My favorite album this year overall was Winery Dogs III if you haven't had a chance to check it out as well, best chemistry between the three guys to date on that album.
Great video. Really enjoyed this and plan to check out several of these 2023 releases. Ill add a comment with some of my favorites from 2023 once I have a chance to go through them 🤘
Trevor's album is simply a great easy listening album! If you liked this album I'd highly recommend the latest from Dave Kerzner heart land mines vol. 1....fantastic album! Personally I'd rank this and Trevor's album as 1A and 1B both simply solid solid stuff
I don’t have any on this list but definitely interested in a few like I/o and the Elegant Weapons for sure; I’m a fan of Ritchie Faulkner as well. My fave of the year on my list was Mammoth II, Wolfgang Van Halen’s second release. ✌️
Sky Void Of Stars by Katatonia is my favourite of the year, i agree that its their most complete album in years! That Immortal album is a strange one, it seems to completely divide opinion. Some reviewers say its a big disappointment and one of the worst of the year, then other reviewers say its one of the best of the year! No inbetween at all lol
As usual, whenever I create a "best of" annual year-end list I leave a bunch of good stuff off and 2023 was no exception at all. I probably could have made this list ten times longer and boring af to read, but that said, barring a complete miracle for 2023's last month, I have what would be the 25 albums that I enjoyed the most this year: 1. Lovebites -- Judgement Day 2. Delain -- Dark Waters 3. Hellripper -- Warlocks Grim and Withered Hags 4. Insomnium -- Anno 1696 5. Overkill -- Scorched 6. Redshift -- Laws of Entropy 7. Xandria -- The Wonders Still Awaiting 8. Perc3ption -- Art In Extreme Situations 9. Fierce Justice -- Fireborn 10. Acid King -- Beyond Vision 11. Enforced -- War Remains 12. Wytch Hazel -- IV: Sacrament 13. Restless Spirit -- Afterimage 14. Kalmah -- S/T 15. Ne Obliviscaris -- Exul 16. Echoes of Bronze -- Ilium 17. Night Legion -- Fight or Fall 18. Enchantya -- Cerberus 19. Majesties -- Vast Reaches Unclaimed 20. Midnight Vice -- S/T (the riffs on this are KILLER) 21. Excalion -- Once Upon A Time 22. Naitaka -- Emergence 23. Blood Ceremony -- The Old Ways Remain 24. Soen -- Memorial 25. Iron Savior -- Firestar Just missed: Dhaliax -- Doomed , Obituary -- Dying of Everything, Blackbraid -- Blackbraid II, Cruachan -- The Living and the Dead, Enslaved -- Heimdal, Blackbriar -- A Dark Euphony, Moonlight Sorcery -- Horned Lord of the Thorned Castle, Akilla -- The Gods Have Spoken, Omnium Gatherum -- Slasher, Powerwolf-- Interludium, Orbit Culture -- Descent, Green Lung -- This Heathen Land, Twilight Force -- At the Heart of Wintervale, Frozen Crown -- Call of the North and Exmortus -- Necrophony. Even with 25, I left off a LOT of good stuff.
In Flames was definitely a highlight for me too. Never heard a song of theirs I did not like. Chris is definitely a good fit for the band. Seriously a good album for new and older In Flames fans.
There were albums in 2023 🤣I stopped listening to Albums in the early 2000s and I miss them, the new format is single song shuffle with the kids as you may well know, HOWEVER, this year I actually listened to an entire album. Its was Kool Keith's serpent (im a 90s hip hop fan) over to Gabriel, 'my body is a cage' was covered by Arcade fire I seem to remember?, nice video and ill look at some of these
a top with peter gabriel in it is always a fabulous top ! Cheers
my favorite of this year is Demoniac - Nube Negra, a chilean band. Nice list and great channel, new sub lml

Trevor Rabin composed the music for the first National Treasure movie. What a talented man!

Great video though and appreciate the detail you went into for them all

Cool guy. Cool new channel. Subscribed.
I have no idea who Trevor Rabin is! 😳
But anyway. My favourite album of the year is Sermon - Of Golden Verse. You know it?
@@rudy679 I have heard the name. Have not listened to any of their stuff. I'll check em out. Thanks for watching!

My absolute number one album this year is ‘Treacherous Ways’ by Helms Deep.

Blackbraid is so overrated. Wow.
