The word "evilize" is an English dub thing. In the French dub (and others), Hawk Moth tells his akumas to turn dark his victims' hearts. Also, akumatized villains normally don't hold their memories when they are akumatized and they are considered victims who are controlled by the real villain, Hawk Moth, so they are not hold responsible for their actions during that time. And one more thing... Chloé is far worse than you know. Just watch more episodes and you'll see what I mean.
IIRC Thomas Astruc himself chose the evilize/de-evilize phrasing for the English dub. In addition to anime magical girls, Astruc was also inspired by Silver Age (1960s) superhero comics, which had a lot of corny language and phrases.

If their plan from the start was to do what they did, then they really messed up. When I want to sum this show up in one sentence, I say “Great concepts, terrible executions.” That's Miraculous in a nutshell.
It has been accepted by the people of Paris that the supervillains are not at fault. Pretty much anyone just having a bad day can be transformed and Ladybug's abilities let her fix everything broken, so the general view if the public is "no harm, no foul". That said, Chloe causes so many akumatizations that I'm frankly shocked she wasn't eventually put in solitary confinement.

And from what I remember, Car Noir ends up being thrown around like a rag doll or sacrificing himself so Ladybug can save the day. Not a bad thing to happen, but it just happens so often and is repetitive. Also, Ladybug’s powers make it so that the plot can’t really have her fail or Paris is doomed. The two aren’t being treated as equal by the show itself despite supposedly having powers that balance each other out. It feels more like a hero and sidekick relationship than an equal partnership where both people really depend on each other. If the show meant for Cat Noir to be more like a sidekick in the first place, then sure that works, but the two heroes act as partners and acknowledge that this is a partnership rather than a hero-sidekick relationship like say Robin and Batman, so it’s not great that Ladybug has more importance and is always more competent than Cat Noir in fighting while Cat Noir solely relies on her to save the day or else he’d just be beaten up and tossed aside.
While Lady Wi-Fi is IMHO the best of the early villains, she kind of ran with the idiot ball in this episode, as she had a chance to take Ladybug's miraculous but went for the mask instead. Actually, it's more of Hawkmoth running with the idiot ball. Lady Wi-Fi's goal is to expose Ladybug's identity, so she focused on that. Hawkmoth somehow forgot to prompt her to take the earrings. In every other fight where it looks like the villain is winning, he/s usually bellowing at them to take the miraculous.
I think it's the first time we all learned that her mask is unremovable but Hawk Moth is dumb. Most of his plans wouldn't succeed if he didn't have Nathalie or Lila.
Being transformed seems to give both the heroes and villains enhanced physical abilities. This results in superhuman coordination, ability, reflexes, stamina, etc. They are also implied to have super strength but we never really see the heroes using it.

Not to mention Ladybug effectively destroys almost all evidence after the fight when the magic ladybugs fix everything. This is a kids show, so they don't won't go showing the trial, but I suspect it would upset them and risk them turning into super villains again. I'm a little surprise we don't see Hawk Moth akumatizing more actual criminals who have been arrested and mad that they lost their trial or something. Also once enough people get turned into super villains they might have trouble actually prosecuting them or people in charge might not want to prosecute certain people, such as relatives.
Also in future episodes there are people who try to fight it. But Hawkmoth gives those people headaches. And since we haven't seen it happen yet. We don't know what could happen if Hawkmoth continues the headaches. Maybe it could cause serious brain damage (I haven't seen s4 so I don't know if it happens on it)

Here are two really interesting things about the Miraculous. Number one is that the Miraculous makes it so the wearers features are unrecognizable to another person (even other Miraculous users) and 2 it is at least heavily implied that part of the Kwamis personality is given to the user. This is why marionette gets a confidence boost as ladybug and adrien starts to crack jokes as cat noir.

Yeah... Chloé uses her status of the Mayor's daughter A LOT. Her father also is just 🤦🏻♀️ She's a huge brat! Now the miraculous suit enhances their physical ability therefore they're so good at all those stunts. Anyone can take off the miraculouses off the holder, and they then detansform. Alya was obsessed with finding out who LB was, and she most probably didn't know. Also, looking back I'm realising how simple these endcards are to the rest of the seasons! About the whole relationship stuff you mentioned, that's true, Alya is the perfect wingwoman. I love her so much! 16:18 I just have one thing to say, RIDICULOUS UTTERLY RIDICULOUS! And yes, Lady Wifi was a great design for season 1.

About the weather girls going to Marinette's school, it wouldn't seem that odd if you realized one thing. Marinette goes to an elite privet school. It may seem that way because the show try's to play Marinette as the average girl, but she is not. Many of the student's have famous and or wealthy parents. Even her parents own a well placed and famous bakery in Paris. I won't give particulars (to avoid spoilers) beyond Adrien and his dad (both famous), and Chloe's dad, who is the mayor, but if you pay attention, all the kids at her school are connected.
Alya looks so cool as Lady Wi-Fi her costume looks cool too also I love the part when Alya called Ladybug Cat noir's love bug also I can't wait for you to watch the episode Evillustrator that's one of my favorite episodes.
Just some FYI, the costumes change the perspective that people see you so they can’t really see any features when someone is in the actual kwami costume, that’s why people can’t tell the difference between marinette, chloe, and ladybug. Also this ep shows that alya is a lot smarter than most other people as she has in many times almost found out ladybugs identity.
now keep in mind that i only passively watched the first season or so of ladybug, and my memory is rather fuzzy on the whole thing, but from what i remember, the original script had it so that adrian is actually cursed by the ring and forced to wear it. the only way to get rid of it is to get a kiss from ladybug or something, hence why he would constantly try to flirt with her and try so hard to get her to fall in love with him. while i think they dropped that particular part of the character for the complete show, i imagine it still informs some of adrian's behaviour and character early on, most blatantly his unconditional obsession with ladybug.
I always found it hilarious how Adrien collapsed after being stuck in a freezer for like 3 minutes. A freaking freezer. It was so dramatic and for what
Hypothermia can start in about 5 minutes in temperatures of around -50 Farenheit, especially in clothes not made for cold. Walk in freezers are kept at around -10F, but for a person's body in that kind of cold a 40 degree difference won't be too noticeable. So him collapsing is exaggerated, but not by much.
They lose their memory because they're no longer themselves, they're being controlled. Their would be too many people going to jail for crimes they didn't really mean to commit, the police are aware of the situation
Season 2 was great, minus a few oopsies. Season 3 was when the show kinda fell from grace. The two specials sucked imo, and season 4 is mostly awful at this point.

Regardless of if Chloe is Ladybug or not Ayla, and by extension Lady WiFi, thinks she is, so she is going to go after her and they have to bail her out of trouble. Given Lady WiFi's little rant when they first saw her its clear she's Ayla, so I'm sure Adrien has figured out that much. I wonder what would of happen if Ladybug and Cat Noir hadn't showed up right away and Lady WiFi made off with Chloe's earrings. I assume Hawk Moth would have her deliver them to him somehow, though he might wait for Cat Noir. I assume Lady WiFi's mask is also magically fused to her face. Granted she was unlikely to of tested that before doing that. I hadn't though about the super hero esthetic of her outfit, but now that you bring it up it is rather fitting given how much of a super hero fan she is. Pay attention when we see her room.
I mean to be fair to the Chloe theory, Batman plays up the arrogant playboy persona as Bruce Wayne specifically to throw people off the trail. Chloe could have done the same thing... in theory.... (Spoiler) Not to mention, later seasons do show the transformations can change hair color, hair length, eye color, etc.

The only time I felt a little bad for him was Sole Crusher, when he was forced to give up his dreams due to family pressure, but even then it was bad parenting. He was literally telling Zoé to give up on her dreams of MAKING FRIENDS!

About the weather girls going to Marinette's school, it wouldn't seem that odd if you realized one thing. Marinette goes to an elite privet school. It may seem that way because the show try's to play Marinette as the average girl, but she is not. Many of the student's have famous and or wealthy parents. Even her parents own a well placed and famous bakery in Paris. I won't give particulars (to avoid spoilers) beyond Adrien and his dad (both famous), and Chloe's dad, who is the mayor, but if you pay attention, all the kids at her school are connected.
We have no idea who Nathaniel's parents are, and neither Ivan, Kim, or nino.

Just some FYI, the costumes change the perspective that people see you so they can’t really see any features when someone is in the actual kwami costume, that’s why people can’t tell the difference between marinette, chloe, and ladybug. Also this ep shows that alya is a lot smarter than most other people as she has in many times almost found out ladybugs identity.

now keep in mind that i only passively watched the first season or so of ladybug, and my memory is rather fuzzy on the whole thing, but from what i remember, the original script had it so that adrian is actually cursed by the ring and forced to wear it. the only way to get rid of it is to get a kiss from ladybug or something, hence why he would constantly try to flirt with her and try so hard to get her to fall in love with him. while i think they dropped that particular part of the character for the complete show, i imagine it still informs some of adrian's behaviour and character early on, most blatantly his unconditional obsession with ladybug.
I always found it hilarious how Adrien collapsed after being stuck in a freezer for like 3 minutes. A freaking freezer. It was so dramatic and for what
Hypothermia can start in about 5 minutes in temperatures of around -50 Farenheit, especially in clothes not made for cold. Walk in freezers are kept at around -10F, but for a person's body in that kind of cold a 40 degree difference won't be too noticeable. So him collapsing is exaggerated, but not by much.

I assume Lady WiFi's mask is also magically fused to her face. Granted she was unlikely to of tested that before doing that. I hadn't though about the super hero esthetic of her outfit, but now that you bring it up it is rather fitting given how much of a super hero fan she is. Pay attention when we see her room.
