Stewart! It goes without saying that this is one of the most stunning new additions to your collection. I can remember when I had it in hand and how totally blown away I was by the detail in sculpt and the sheer vibrancy of the colors. Every single \S/ pops out at you and everything looks so clean! I love how DCD not only delivered a Superman collectible with the classic designs of the characters but they also did an incredible job with executing this Grail piece. Absolutely beautiful! You know I'm a big Green Lantern fan but, even though you pointed out how brilliant the GL statue collection is, I think this Super Family set is still my favorite from the line. Absolutely incredible!
My friend, your videos get better and better each time you do one. The commentary was fun and to the point, the editing was great, and I still think the new review space is a very effective choice. Great job! As always, I look forward to your next video.

This thing is awesome. Can I make a suggestion? You mention early in the video that part one goes for quite a bit nowadays. I think it'd be cool for you in the future to cover what a certain piece went for when it was released and what they're going for now. Bonus points if you throw in a "I was able to get it for ___." People like to hear about bargain hunting and values of whatever they're looking at, makes them feel more involved. Great video! PS Love the Super-Animals at the end.
616Entertainment Thanks for the advice 616!! Sorry for the delay replying but It's been a busy few weeks. Yeah I normally don't go into pricing if I've got it for a private sale etc but I don't mind mentioning what the going price for something is....Having a quick browse on eBay before I film etc.

Another stupendous-looking piece from DC Direct here, Stew; thanks for sharing this with us. I can absolutely understand why many collectors would consider this a grail piece; while personally I would be more interested in collecting the Batman or Green Lantern variant, I can certainly appreciate the pros of this excellent statue. The paint work is just stunning, on par with something from Sideshow Collectibles or Kotobukiya. I am also in agreement about the directions they're facing; I can understand how some might consider that a deal-breaker, but for me it absolutely is not, and merely enhances the realism of the piece. It looks like something lifted directly from a comic panel, and I thank you again for sharing it with us.

I can completely understand why this piece sells for quite a lot....not just because of the 850 piuece limited run but the colour choice and classic looks for the family are just perfect. I completely underdstand you being more drawn to the Batman and Lantern sets. Even though I love the Superman family set, even I have to agree that the Lantern statue is SO cool!! Such a dynamic pose for all of them and the way they use transparent resin for the Alan Scot construct base is great. fantastic piece, with so many diverse characters the chance of messing up a detail is so great but everyone's look is spot on from the face(except for supergirl's eye) to the color scheme, its a bit out of my price range but certainly worth every penny. great review too!

As you well know I was just able to complete this set today and while it was difficult to take my eyes off it to watch your review I'm so glad I took the time today to watch it. Well worth the wait with no disturbances. Fantastic video as always and what a set. I didn't know DC direct made others I wasn't keen on the Bat family looked way to busy. But one thing I did notice what's going on with the GL family John Stewart my main man with his back turned bit racist of them to do that!!! (Joking )
But not here to talk about them that truly is a stunning set to look at the Steel is beyond awesome a while back I repainted my DC direct Steel in the a similar metallic on this set plus extended the handle on his hammer. Power girl looks amazing like you said about the highlights in her Hair definitely agree really adds to it it's great to see that they really wanted to show the difference between her and Supergirl and not just with costumes.
Superboy is spot on the huge \S/ is so inviting to the eye and his pose definitely reflects his personality.
What can I say about Superman gutted you had to buy two to complete the set iconic pose as ever but definitely stunning interesting to see the red trunks showing above the belt you don't see it often and is a nice natural touch. Love the way the cape looks as well. It was great to hear how they went about making the statue as well very informative buddy. I wonder if you were to have to corresponding numbers in the set would that make a difference in the value of an already valuable piece? Once again you have outdone yourself and your viewers you a truly stunning and extraordinary piece nice touch as well with adding the animals of the Superman family plus I didn't know there was a horse in the Superman family as well so that was cool to find out. Really for the usual delayed reply but I've been so busy with work etc. Finally getting caught up now!! I couldn't agree with you more about this piece....epic to look at and so well executed! The paint is great and the sculting choices for each one of these is awesome. Yeah it was annoying having to buy a second set but it wasn't anyone's fault. It had been so well packaged so I guess the mail man was just too rough. I'm not sure if having two matching numbers would increase the value but I think it would be hard to do given that they were all just sold separately. Thanks again buddy, new review should be coming this week at some point.

Wow. Whilst all of the Super-family on the combined piece look great, I would love to have that Steel on his own, solitary base. I'm not really into statues(they dictate how I display them too much for me, thus why I stick to action figures that I can pose to my liking), but if DC Collectibles ever rereleases him on his own, I'm buying it. He just really pops to me. I'm sorry about your first Superman piece's cape, though. I think they should've made it a separate piece and protected it a bit better in the box since this was a limited release. Still, cool statue set, and great review!

I totally agree about the Steel part of the statue, the silver metallic paint apps really make him pop and just the pose is stunning. I don't think DC would ever release him separately but if you ever saw the Part 2 set going for cheap it would be a good pickup and wouldn't be hard to make a custom base for him. I've enjoyed scrolling through your videos some great pieces. Heard you mention the rarity of the jla multi statue.. believe it of I actually gave mine away toy brother in law because I got more into 1/4 scale and bigger 🤦🏻♂️

Hi Stewart, there will be a Supergirl TV show airing soon on TV. I hope there will be some Supergirl figures release base on that TV show because her costume is looking good and I like it.

ok so in Superman family members we have of course Superman then Supergirl, Powergirl, Superboy, Steel, Krypto the superdog, Mon-el, Superboy Jimmy Olsen, Superwoman and Superboy Christopher Kent.
Yeah that pretty much covers it. I would definitely include Lois in that list if Jimmy is in there and there are countless alternate Earth versions of the Supermen and characters like Superlad, Streaky the Supercat, Comet the Superhorse etc etc. The list goes on!! Thanks for watching and commenting
