David Benavidez and David Morrell make grand arrivals and showcase their skills at an open workout, leading to their bout at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on February 1, 2025. The contest features the undefeated two-time super middleweight champion Benavidez of Phoenix, AZ, who puts his interim WBC light heavyweight title on the line against unbeaten Morrell from Cuba, who brings his WBA "Regular" 175-pound belt to the ring.
Also making grand arrivals and participating in a media workout are the undercard fighters. Current WBC featherweight titleholder Brandon Figueroa of Weslaco, TX, faces former unified 122-pound champion Stephen Fulton of Philadelphia, PA, in a rematch. Former 140-pound champion Isaac "Pitbull" Cruz meets fellow Mexican Ángel Fierro at super lightweight. Former unified 154-pound champion Jeison Rosario of the Dominican Republic goes up against Jesus Ramos Jr. of Casa Grande, AZ, at super welterweight.
