- Finally, the Broiler Brooding Management Series is making me share my secret ingredient for brooding baby chicks. Well, I am sure that you will make the most of this video so I should not have any regrets sharing the one thing that makes the chicks' first day a relaxing one.
Baby chicks are known to be incapable of thermoregulating until they are about 10-14 days old. This is one of the reasons why my secret ingredient is a must have for every poultry farmer.
For this Broiler Brooding Management Series, I will be brooding 100 broilers, 4 Turkeys and 10 Noilers (dual purpose breed).

"If you are inside a brooding house and you are not sweating is not a brooder house".... lol, that was how i put up coal pot in my brooding house, plus 2 local kerosene lamps. I also shut the door, no windows 😆. I legitly roasted 28 of my chick... God help us in this business...

1 part coconut water to 10 parts water is good. However, there is no overdose, so you can increase the concentration if you have coconut water in abundance
How much coconut water to give the chicks?
They can't get drunk or killed by it even when served undiluted. But 1 part coconut water to 10 parts water works well.
