Greetings Neil ! It’s always sad when our favorite musicians pass away. It was fascinating to hear his stories. Thank you for sharing your experience and stories. Cheers xx
What a charming and articulate gentleman Laurie Holloway was. He had a sense of humour by the sound of it and was able to laugh at himself, so no wonder the two of you got along well. I love your ability to surprise your guest with the questions you ask, Neil. This is a true gift which makes the person you're interviewing think and picture in their mind before they answer which naturally draws a more in-depth and personal response, rather than the normal glib, almost "by rote" answers to stock questions many interviews give the viewer. Must be hard work for you, Neil, but you make it look easy - now that's a professional.
Thank you for your colorful stories, Neil. You were very fortunate to have been acquainted with so many interesting & talented people. I think we all love classical music.
A great interview! Reading music is something one never forgets. I have played piano since I was 16, but 53 years later I still read music. Its the basis for playing any instrument
I am very untalented! I took piano lessons for 5 years (ages 12-17) and then 2 semesters in college (both easy “A”s) but I haven’t touched a piano since I was 18 - I’m now 77! Couldn’t even play chopsticks! Luckily I do have a few other things I think I do pretty well!
Thank you for another wonderful interview . You’re very lucky to have met all these amazing stars and talent , as are we when you share them with us . ❤
👋👋 Bravo Neil, what a captivating story and brilliant interview with the fascinating Laurie Holloway. What a wonderful charming gentleman, and your perfect charismatic interviewing skills made every word so special. Thanks for sharing these precious moments Neil, you are a gem. Take care and stay safe and well. Hxx👋🙏♥️🏴🌟
Hi Neil 👋👋👋🇦🇺🇦🇺, its always fascinating to me to listen ,read the backgrounds of celebreties and famous peope. Thank you for another fascinating story.
This is one of the hard parts of growing older! We are losing good friends, sometimes family and people we like as actors, politicians, etc. (yes, there are nice politicians!). I’ve lost several good friends in the last year!
@@sandybruce9092 I'm sorry you lost good friends the past year. It is hard losing those friends who have been with us a long time. I bet you have cherished memories of them!
I love stories of unlikely friendships and how they started and developed. It restores faith in humanity in these dark times, that two people with disparate backgrounds could meet and become friends. Isn't life wonderful?
TV chat shows these days are really nothing more than a platform for celebrities peddling their latest wares. Gone are the days of the in-depth chat - and not only with showbiz celebrities. I remember a "This is your life" with Robert Standford-Tuck - a Battle of Britain pilot, senior to Douglas Bader and another with Mike Hailwood - a record winning motorcycle racer. People with stories to tell and the time to tell it. So refreshing to listen to your extended chats.
Neil your such a wonderful interviewer and brilliant story teller thank you so much we the chums are so blessed to ge part of this wonderful group ir very much appreciated ❤❤❤❤
Oh as soon as he said classically trained I immediatly thought of Elton John doing the classics as a child. I think you are correct Neil.... I do think ALL the greats were classically trained frist before going into pop, jazz whatever
We chums do appreciate you sharing these stories with us! 👋🏻
Another cool story Neil. You have a gift for talking with people and making them feel comfortable sharing about themselves.😊👋🏼
