- Learn how to dynamically filter data based on specific month of the year using simple to use functions in Excel formula.
In this tutorial, we learn how to filter or extract data dynamically based on month using FILTER function and MONTH function in Excel. With MONTH function, we are able to generate number of the month using the dates in the data that is used to filter the dates in Excel data.
As we are using array formula, the results are dynamic. And if we change the month from the list, the extracted data updates automatically instantly.

What if the data has different years? Would the results be correct?
In my opinion, you can just added & between year and month to be specific,
In critical array you can write year(array)=cell&month(array)=cell instead of just month(array)=cell.
I want to asked, can i usk this function between 2 sheet which is enabled macro using form, on particular sheet1 have macro enable form data saved another sheet2 but I am pulling data from sheet 2 to sheet 1, but this function is not working plz help me

Here's an example. You can put this formula in any cell on any sheet, adjust the data ranges accordingly: =FILTER(VSTACK(Sheet1!A2:D4,Sheet2!A2:D4),VSTACK(MONTH(Sheet1!A2:A4),MONTH(Sheet2!A2:A4))=MONTH(Sheet3!A4&1),"No data found.")
