- I don't usually get into collab/crossovers too much - look, I'm the bloke who gets miffed by ships not having their historically accurate guns or armour, right?
Still, a lot of you have asked about this one, and it's basically a Black Odin, as in, an Odin with a reshuffled skillset. Well, I love the Odin dearly, so here we are.

I had a feeling this was coming... I was the Richelieu (in one of my first games after picking it up in the space bundle). I normally keep an eye out for press accounts, and was very annoyed that I didn't spot it was you until you charged across the middle - by which time it was too late. If I'd paid attention at the start I would've left the Minnesota alone and tried to kill you off before you had the chance to close!

Ah yes, Collab Ships. I honestly wish they were just camos and add the unique Warhammer skills WITH the camo.
I just wish these special, non- historical camos weren't so goofy looking! I picked up the Nelson a couple/few years ago, but I didn't buy it's historical dazzle camo. At some point I somehow acquired a free, non-historical premium camo for the Nelson. But it looks 10x more idiotic than ^this Warhammer camo, so I cringe with embarrassment every time I take it out for a match!
Wait till you see Dalian's alt camo... ;)
Oh well, here comes the super Odin, absolutely love this ship its my favourite in the game , ty for featuring it Terry! and like u said i do agree that a lack of sonar is a slight problem but thats because she has plenty of ship skils already and she gets that signature warhammer 40k move to replace sonar
I'd say she's on par with Odin. Different skills, but useful in their own right. I think this one might be a bit better for players who are not super familiar with how to play German battlecruisers, since the WH40k skill can help with pen at range on the smaller calibre. I personally prefer Odin herself, but it's a matter of taste.

The Cross of Dorn is definitely a fun ship. It’s more main gun focused with the AP pen boost that is fairly long lasting, which I think is better than precise aim as those 305’s are not really at their best at range, and having two charges of SO1 vs one of SO2 is on net probably better for your overall damage output. Not having the sonar does force you to be more careful, though playing aggressively without sonar can be done as you get better at predicting where torpedo drops tend to happen and remember to regularly vary course and speed.
The AP pen boost ship skill combined with Lütjens’ heavy AP ammo skill and APCS means your mains can do a surprising amount of damage.
The Odin with the Adelheid camo, the secondary elite skill and with a concealment build can play a bit more aggressively - not only do you have sonar, but you are practically within autosecondary range when you enable SO by the time a BB can spot you, similar to the Rupprecht or Schlieffen.
And when the Warhammer collabs are on, you can usually pick up the Cross of Dorn for 8k or 8.5k gold, never seen Odin on sale for a price like that, with or without camos.
Some really good points there, especially the price point. I'm usually pretty good at torpedo prediction, but without the sonar, it's a bit harder to go on a rampage. Odin's mains perform best at mid-range when you can deck target, and with the alt camo, she's slightly more powerful imo. Still, both very good ships.

They had a voice line for the the Warhammer ship skill that said 'We are the angels of death'. They removed it with the latest update. As a Warhammer fan, that made me sad.
I enjoyed her greatly with the time i had with her as a rental😊
It's a good ship. Given the choice between the two, I'd still pick Odin personally, but that's a matter of taste.

And another question, do you have any recommendations about naval game, but during Caribbean wars, with wind mechanics, interesting aiming systems? Am looking for one and still nothing satisfying yet
Can you revist the Bismarck please? I am struggling a bit from the transition from Genisenau to the Bismark.
They are very different ships, Odin/Cross of Dorn are much more like Gneisenau/Scharnhorst in terms of play style. DFA’s old reviews referred to them as “pirate ships”, effectively opportunistic raiders, and that’s still how I like to play them. Bismarck is more of a traditional battleship, like the Bayern but faster, able to tank and dish out a lot of damage but not as agile.
You are struggling cuz Gneisenau is a BATTLECRUISER where Bismarck is a regular Fast Battleship. You should go back and play with Bayern a bit, learn what she can do and what she can't do, then go back to Bismarck. Knowing Bayern a bit better you will be able to use suffer a bit less with Bismarck
25 percent main gun AP penetration combined with Hippers 7.5 percent APCS + = 32.5 Percent APCS + Penetration for 40 s .... just wow
not sure the percentages are additive, but yes, you get more pen. Odin's 305s are already pretty good, but generally need to hit deck to pen, but as you've seen with the Izumo, it can be quite fun. Odin can do that as well, but more at midrange, with the precise aim. Also, von Hipper gives pen sustain, too :)
Is the Asia server offline? Friday 7th June 6.45am.
8:46am still unable to get the game to load on the Asia server.
I finally got access around 10am.
And on Saturday June 8, the Asia server has been down at least 4 hours. 11:25am

Edit: all I’m saying is, SS Imperator style eagle is way more stylish than the giant skull
The trend to give the alt camos better stats is rather irritating, but I don't like the locked camos much. Anyway, I already have my Odin with HC and level 12 von Hipper :)

Well, in some of the newer blitz pass ships it’s the other way around - the historical camo for the Black Shimanto was definitely better than the fancy special camo from the premium pass, and it looks to me like the same might apply to the Schill now and the California before that as well.
@@FunandGameswithTerry sometimes the alt camo can look great, (like the spaceship camos) but most of the time, they can look really bad (literally every single anime camo)
