By far the best diy ladder I’ve seen. The details are nice. Nice work shop. Wish i had one that nice. Only thing you didn’t show us if you cut rung notches or just glue and screw (under screw notch thingies were nice). Love the handle cut outs. Great work. 👏👏
You have to hold the router and angle iron w 2 hands dude. It won’t be long before you will regret it. Also, gasoline cans in the workshop? You will regret that (or your family will). Otherwise, nice ladder build video. Stay safe, really!11
Never been outside my country, but at the first seconds of this video I knew it was Canada. Well, maybe that's because it's pretty obvious to anyone. Btw, nice ladder.
Wow! Really?! Only a couple of hours. You are quick. It looks as good as those that are sold for hundreds of dollars. I wish I can make my own too. I need a 10-12 food wood ladder for my tiny house too. (I see you own all those expensive tools for this project too. :) )
That’s a nice ladder especially for the house, but there is a cheaper ladder that is stronger you can build with a saw, hammer and Nails and it would be OSHA approved for a commercial setting as well
When you think about the cost of frying an egg on your stove, do you think it costs a few cents, because that is what an egg costs, or do you think it costs hundreds, bcecuase that is what a stove costs? You logic applies only if he bought the tools specifically for this project and never used them again.
I was wondering what they were bitchin about. My trade is Auto Body & Paint, not woodworking and I have all those tools plus. That stuff is required for standard homeowner maintenance. Aquired over the years, as a job or repair required. I can't imagine NOT owning any tools.
Numbers 5:11-31 has nothing to do with pregnancy or abortion. This is a total perversion of His Word. It is about testing to see if the wife has been unfaithful and is meant as a deterrent to both husband and wife from infidelity.
i was gonna say the same., i started doing all my work with a handsaw, then i collected power tools 1 at a time, the fanciest tool there is the pockethole jig, i really want one but dont really have a valid reason to get one
The caption of this video will fool you, but if you're reading this comment it's already too late... Lol Caption should read, "Simple $15 ladder using hundreds of dollars in equipment"....

2021 lumber prices be like: "A simple $150 ladder"
And if you have all these tools!!!!
So true.
2022: $15 for one 2x6x8...
@@BackcountryHonda Is it still that bad? I just kinda gave up woodworking for now until it is more affordable.
Nicely done, but I’m looking to make a SIMPLE loft ladder. 😂

Good job brother. Simple and to the point. Thank goodness!
Nicely finished project!
I like it,simple and functional,It would be a good idea to secure the upper end if possible.
Great job.
Thanks for the comment. You are right, I will be securing the ladder asap
Nice work. I want to build something like this
Never been outside my country, but at the first seconds of this video I knew it was Canada. Well, maybe that's because it's pretty obvious to anyone. Btw, nice ladder.
It is classic Canadian shield country! thanks for watching.
The square screws sealed it

You can do it! I do have a lot of tools, but most of them I got second hand.
Will you please tell us the angle of steps was thank you
Simple if you happen to have a workshop full of tools. How much did all those materials cost? 15 Dollars?
in 2021 that's a $200 ladder
Dan, that turned out better than I had though. The integrated rail handles were a nice touch
That’s a nice ladder especially for the house, but there is a cheaper ladder that is stronger you can build with a saw, hammer and Nails and it would be OSHA approved for a commercial setting as well
what angle are your steps? 60 degrees>?
Maybe the ladder is indeed $15, but you need a few hundred $s worth of tools to build it...

What spacing for threads?
Good job mate
Thanks for all your kind comments.
Simple yet gd looking ladder..what angles did u set the rungs at and cut the top?
Thanks. I just took the angle from an A frame ladder I have. Seemed to work ok
How did the pocket screw joints on the treads hold up? Would be concerned about end grain splitting.
They seem to be holding fine.
@@OntarioLakeside I'd thought about cutting 1/4" deep slots with my router, and using pocket screws as I will have full 11" "treads" .. overkill?
Andrew A that would be a good additional support for sure
Could you use a 2x4 instead of a 2x6? I want to make one for a closet and think 2x6 is too bulky
sure 2x4s would work fine
All the trolls here crying about needing thousands of dollars of tools. $5 handsaw, $20 corded drill, $5 file. Stop whining, start building!

Who would really think they could build a ladder for $15 using what else? Imagination? Come on folks. Common sense.

Clinton
the only simple I am looking to is with hammer,2inch nail and 2x4 wood
stop promoting tool and fancy design skill
new again!
Way too complicated for a novice like me...lol
Would this work for 20 feet?
No! You’ve got the tools and ability, join the wood traditionally. Pocket screws are for ikea;)
This is not simple
wooden loft ladder costs $15 but saw tool costs... :)
