I bought one of these a couple months ago. I bought the XLE with the premium package. I do have the memory seats that are missing from this XSE. This is my first Toyota. The Camry Hybrid is doing everything it sets out to do very well and returning 50 mpgs.
I’d also like to mention that Sam mentioned subscriptions to unlock features of this Camry and while that is true, Toyota includes subscriptions at no charge for the first 3 years on some features and 10 years on other features. So consumers like me who trade every 3 year can enjoy the Digital Key and Remote Start and so on, at no charge during the ownership period.
Nice review, for potential consumers, I wish Sam would have mentioned that an AWD is available for extra charge. I do realize Sam told us he was reviewing the car that Toyota sent him for the week and it’s not an AWD. But maybe a quick mention along with horsepower and torque that come from the 2 electric motors. It wouldn’t be overwhelming for those of us who may not care for mechanical information, but just touch upon it and move on. Thank you for your work here Sam. I agree with your points on this vehicle as I bought one 7 weeks ago. I am to have been able to pay for the Camry in full.
Sam mentioned the black roof being metallic - I can’t find information to back that up. Mine is flat black- no metallic. Toyota does offer Midnight Black and that is metallic. But this black is not that.
