So it occurs to me that it's not called "Yupo Medium" as in "this is an art medium". There's also Yupo Translucent and Yupo Heavy, so the word "medium" here refers to the paper's weight. My mistake!
Today's video is all about Yupo Paper, a 100% polypropylene art substrate by Legion Paper Company. How does it work? What do different mediums look like on it? Is it really reusable? Let's paint something on Yupo Paper!

I tried YUPO for the first time yesterday and used graphite pencil, pentel coloured Ink pens and black pencil to do a portrait. I was relatively pleased with the results.😊

I subscribed to you just today and instantly fell in love with the content of your videos! Your content is amazing but one this is confusing me, why aren't there more views on your channel videos? You have quite a lot of subscribers as well. But, don't worry! Eventually people will recognize you! And thanks to you I am also considering yupo 'paper' now! Keep up the good work!

Haha lots of subscribers came from one of my Clip Studio Paint videos. I hope some of them stick around for my traditional art videos too, since I do that more often than digital. 😅
Thank you, and I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Yupo is very interesting, I hope you have fun if you try it!

I just subbed to her today cuz I was at Blick and saw this Yupo Translucent paper. Had no idea what it was, never heard of it before, so of course I had to buy it. Now I'm watching videos on how exactly I would use the recommended mediums on it. LOL, maybe should have done that BEFORE I bought the paper buuuuuttt..........here we are.

so when the piece is dry, how do you protect it preserve it for presentation. i have a feeling /i am really going to dig this

A spray fixative will probably work, but protecting it behind a frame is likely the best bet.

I wonder how heat might effect it. Since it has a plastic quality, would it need to be kept seperate, (unstacked) after painted. For instance, could this be made into a sketchbook, and would it not peal off, rub off or stick to other pages. I never heard of this substrait until today, but it's peaked my interest. Thanks for the video.

I am gonna be totally honest, I have no idea! If I remember, I can try to take a hair dryer or something to one of my spare sheets.

Would this "paper" would work well as a menu paper?
I'm trying to create a printed menu, and then small bits of watercolor are added post-print for a touch of personality.

I'm not sure this can be printed on at all to be honest, I don't think the in would ever dry.

It was purple Bombay India ink with a dip pen. All my supplies are listed in the description with links.
