71 was the best year for chevelle imo. dont sell that.
Hey when you're desperate for cash sometimes you got to do what you gotta do
Just when you didnt think it could better he opens the hood. Damn.
@@slick-rides just sold my 65 Chevelle Malibu SS and I'm sick to my stomach
@@slick-rides Get anything yet? Think of selling my 67 El but nobody wants to pay for it. With the one offer of 25k I couldnt buy anything decent to drive...so it stays. Did my frame off also in gloss black front to back underneath etc. Really pops if done right.
@@gordocarbo I should of never sold this Chevelle! I thought I did good selling for 40k, 4 years later can't get anything this nice for 50k. I have an 81 Camaro but I'm not in love with it.
I am starting to like the Chevelle. Excellent shape your Chevelle is in
This car is not by any means, a joke Folks. It's a Lean, Mean, Muscle, Machine !
@@marx769 They weight quite a bit more than that esp with a bb. But still lighter than any modern camaro or stang and twice as cool.
Beautiful 71' Chevelle. Big blocks are badass. I've got myself a Sweet 1970 Pontiac Firebird 400 🤘
Firebird is a piece of shit that's why they stopped wasting parts and time on that
This is by far one of the Best Builds I have ever seen. My hats off to you. Exceptionally Done.. Wow! I have a 71 Malibu convertible that needs everything. Very inspiring video, great accomplishment on your part.
Awesome condition and that big block sounds so good great video thanks 🤩❤️..!!!
It's art man...one of the best looking Chevelle's I have seen.
One of my dream cars.
Yes you have a very beautiful car, love the color and over a years old, well taken care of.
Wow! She is perfect, thanks for sharing.
I love those 502 big block i put one inside a 1979 chevy 4 by 4 and i had it sounding the same way as this Chevy chevelle miss that truck😁👍
Must be a good day, when you leave the house and walk rite to your 71' chevelle 🙂Greetings from Germany
Absolutely stunning from the air cleaner all the way back to the chromed tip exhaust! Congrats bro!
What a rather tastefully modified Chevelle. No lame LED lit modern electronics, unmatched aftermarket radio or ridiculous interior changes. Just a steering wheel, tires and a huge ass engine.
My dream car. It is beautiful.
I need this in my life
Damn man, that thing is fucking gorgeous!! I love it! Perfect looking car. Everything about it is perfect. I think the only thing I'd want different is a wooden steering wheel. This was the first muscle car I ever fell in love with. Actually it was a 1970 Chevelle that I fell in love with from Dazed and Confused, but this is just as beautiful. I love the front end of the 70 with the dual headlights, but I love the ass on this one better than the 70. I'd love to have one that has a 70 front end with a 71 ass end. I'm sure one exists somewhere, but I've never seen one myself. Very nice ride. Sounds like you're trying to sell it from some of the things you said like about the heater. If you are selling it, hopefully someone who truly appreciates it will end up with it, but man I'm sorry you have to sell it if that's what you're doing.
just beautiful my brother
TIME and MONEY = SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET BABY JESUS👌👍🙏💖😎
this car is gorgeous
Very nice! I have a 71' 442 same A-Body but nothing like yours. Good job. Thats what i want my car to be.
Sweet,SWEET ride!! Nice and black and ANGRY SOUNDING!! 😎👍🏾🥳🇺🇸🤟🏾
Beautiful Chevelle...
oh man this car is nice i wish i had it in india
Love the popcorn sound very smooth
nice job hope you do another car up you have a good eye for upgrade stock look
That is so nice
I like these over the '70 also just because of the round taillights besides that the two are pretty much identical, for those who don't know the '70 chevelle ss is the holy grail of all chevelles especially the ones with the ls6 454 big block option
Dual headlights and turn signals are different as well.70s have 2 per side
Sweet ride!!!
old school stance is top
Beautiful car!
very fine car
These chevelles are as good of an investment as a piece of land or a house these days.
Over the last 10 years the price for the Chevelle (especially the 70) has gone up on average about 70% especially if it's a matching numbers original which has pretty much doubled in price, and the value is only going up.
Beautiful. Almost perfect. That's too much gear for the street though. A 4L80 would really ease it up on the highway with 25 percent overdrive and a lockup converter. 4.11 with a stall converter in a turbo 400 it's probly rolling 3500rpm at 60mph
@@slick-rides Yeah I wouldn't care if it had a 2.56 or a 5.13, that car is just right on
very very nice
Rebuilt , I’m sorry after watching the video !
Sweet
I did not know the convertible frames were boxed from the factory...makes sense.
Wagons and Caminos (same) were also. Great drag cars with 4 link and coils
Awesome work bro. I build Chevelles also. Great work. Hit me up
Damn, I need to get a big block my 1970. My current 350 is tired... any suggestions on what place offers the best value?
I used to say vortecpro454.com/ but I see he has raised his prices quite a bit. Check with your local builders.
I just wish I could give my stimulus check for one my dream is to own one shit might as well give up it's nice to look at it thow
Beauty
Hey just ordered a zz 502 for my Chevelle do you need special header or will a standard Hooker header from my big block 402 buitifull ride thanks for the post
Standard big block Chevy headers will work. I used to run Hooker Super Comps on the zz502, but they hung too low under the car. In this video, the car has Sanderson headers on it. 1 3/4 inch primaries are fine for a stock zz502, but if you do power upgrades in the future, you'll want to go bigger at that time.
I'll take it!
Must have been garage kept out of the environment? Looks Great 👍
How do you keep an old engine so clean? Did you swap it? I know nothing about car restoration haha
That's not the original engine, but I would clean it whenever the rest of the car gets cleaned.
where did u get the rims and tires and what size is everything and brand of rims
Wheel Vintiques 52 Series Oldsmobile SS1 with the Chevy SS caps. 15x10 275/65r15 rear and 15x7 225/70r15 front. Summit Racing sells the wheels.
Chevy for the W
What would it look like in gold?
Very nice
What was your lift on the cam to get the 600 hp?
Was a custom cam matched to my combo....

@@slick-rides holy shit, I thought air flow was the cause of hp rating and torque but damn
How could you ever put a price on a work of art?
what heads do you have?
They were the GM aluminum heads that come on the zz502 engine. They had some port work and milled a little to bump up compression a little.
well if u dont sell it ill buy it n a year from now if u still got it
I'm sorry to sound sacrilegious to all the 70 Chevelle lovers, but I always liked the 71 best. Weird huh. Lol
Did it sell?? I’ve loved this car for years!
No. I listed on EBay once. Haven't advertised it since. Taking it to the Northern Ohio Chevelle show the 1st weekend in Aug. Like going each year. Over 200 Chevelles!
I wish I wasn’t in the middle of my red 71 Chevelle. This black car is worth every penny!
its all good bud ...not gonna lie u probally got the best video on here for 71 chevelle
Well worth the 40is k price tag
What fan shroud is that? I need that for my 502!
71-72 Chevelle big block with HD or AC (2 piece).

Bad ASS Bitches 💘 them chevelles i give these SS respect u better think twice going against a chevelle period!!!!
Does it run?
@@dynodaze5824 Oh, go to the 8:30 time mark in the video. I do a walk around with it running.
When they talked about testosterone steroids the king of steroids trenbolone,
Is just coed words saying big block muscle cars rock.
Did you sell it? and how much is it worth!? i want that car!
@@MrZerocounter Didn't want to sell, shit happens. Currently looking for a new project though. 40k
Fuckin mint man
Telling him 4.11 is too much gear for that cam is rediculous! You gear it for the cam not some ideal freeway rpm otherwise it will be a pig.
He knows what he is doing. Nobody remembers cruising at 3-3500 rpm for hours on the fwy I do.
Doesnt hurt a thing. Thats gonna be the sweet spot for a cam like that anyways .
Cruising at those higher rpms will just consume more oil, drink more gas, and put more ware & tare on the engine. Nowadays we have the technology to lower the rpms on the highway. So use it.😉
@@musclebone7875 Carbed engines that are cammed will not tolerate being lugged like a newer car. Lugging is really hard on an engine especially the thrust bearing. Mpg will be worse cruising below the mfrs suggested Cruise rpm they all list it.
Cant even use 6th on mine and cruise at 2k engine aint happy. closer to 3 it does and gets better mpg believe it or not
@@gordocarbo I agree totally against lugging an engine. My big block cruises down the highway between 2,000 to 2,500 rpms between 60 to 75 mph.
💪
Luck you
Bad to the bone.
Chevrolet.
Good evening you like to sell it let me know how much you want?
if this was a manual - it be a 10 ....sissy auto matic is a 6.2
Dont ever ever sale it!!!!!!
You want me show you how to drive it
Iba todo bien asta q vi el cuenta revoluciones
I'll trade you my 91 ranger for it if you want to... 😎. I might even swap even if you talk right. 😂
How much
It looked great till I see there is no AC or heat.... thumbs down... what? aint got 10hp for an AC compressor? Smells like B.O. inside the car... HAHA
usa king. europa xd..........
That car needs the original cowbell exhaust tips and lose the mudflaps
Work of freaking art. Built from the ground up to be the best without being too concerned with keeping it original. I appreciate those that keep these cars all original, but sometimes upgrades truly are upgrades, and a car like this is better for it. Phenomenal build.
I didn't read your comment untill I put my comment on here we both know a work of art when we see one.
Just what I wanted to say as well. The upgrades are excellent - I like the convertible frame and suspension tweaks as well as the rat motor - but the car appears stock from the outside. Better than original, and meant to drive hard.
