Wrap-Styles for Soft Dramatic Body Type

As a curvy, luscious Soft Dramatic body type, I look for wrap-styles in all kinds of garments - dresses, skirts, sweaters, even pants. Something about the way the garments hug and frame our curves is so delightfully flattering. I often feel restricted and uncomfortable in bodycon styles, even at my lowest weight. I’ve learned to stay away from them, for the most part.
I rented this black floral wrap dress from Rent the Runway last month. The luxe, satiny fabric of this dress adds to the Diva Chic vibe. Also note the larger, bolder flowers in the pattern vs. a dainty floral. These are the details that take an ensemble from “ok” to va-va-voom.

Love that dress and belt on you! With winter upon us I would love to see you do a video about scarves and hats~~I adore fun winter scarves and woolen hats, but as a newly-discovered SD I'm not sure if it's okay to still use them as punches of color with my typical black coats, etc. You saved me from buying a gorgeous embroidered (colorful) belt this weekend at an outdoor market, haha~~it would have totally drawn too much attention away from my vertical, but it was so gorgeous (and expensive!). I feel that. An embroidered belt sounds so beautiful and I would be drawn to that as well, then wouldn’t be able to figure out why I never wear it. A scarf/hat video is a great idea. I don’t wear hats much because I really don’t like hat head, but I do have a couple that have lasted over the years. I can definitely show some fails too!

@EmbodiedStyle That would be amazing, thank you! (can't believe you go thru Vermont winters without a hat!) Also, how do you address the belt loops on high-rise blue jeans? I just tried some with a black belt, but it feels like it makes my stomach look bigger which nobody likes! 😅
