When people hear that Evrima combat takes skill they imagine some eSports level shit when that's not what people are talking about. It just takes more skill and coordination than Legacy where you only had 1 button per dinosaur and just had to run through and spam bite. Now Carno still being able to do that is an example of a dinosaur that still doesn't take skill to play even now, not the game itself not being skill oriented. Give Carno to a completely new player and they'll do relatively fine with it, give them a Teno and they'll try to tail slam something that's in front of them.

Hey look! The animations on the dinosaurs are ACTUALLY fluid and not like fucking stiff boards walking! (the Carnotaurus was probably the worst one animation wise before this update).
I wonder if the devs could add river rapids (i think thats what it's called) where you swim in the river while its over flowed and there could be logs coming down the river and if one hits you in the head or body you can drown and the deinos have a perfect chance to get an abundance of meals (if you look up dinosaur massacre on bbc channel you'll find the inspiration for this comment)

I hope so too, and I hope and pray they make some quests a little more interesting. I love doing quests in games, and hell a dino mmorpg is awesome, but the quests seem so dull sometimes. I have faith in PoT unlike the Isle which has shattered my trust a few too many times.

Diet system is kinda neat tho it should reward you for following it with faster growth and a mixed diet being just normal growth. Since boar are in the game AI should just be modern animals like deer, wolfs, buffalo etc. Having playable dinos be AI is just confusing.
PoT just goes back to being dead a few days after each update. The only thing that I think could save it is the growth update, but if that fails to get the game on track we might see another Primal Carnage, where the game has like 100 people playing it regularly and no one else.

I don't even have a bad PC I can play cyberpunk at medium settings and get 40-50 but the isle is just... Words cannot describe how annoyed I am.

Imo it should work like this: bad diet increases growth time by about 1/3. A neutral diet is normal growth time. A good diet would decrease growth by up to 1/2 for the biggest animals like deino and giga so growing them is not torture. Ofc shit like utah would have diets affect growth time less in a positive way.

So I have a pretty high-end PC, even has an RTX 3080. I ran Red Dead Redemption 2 on max at over 100 frames consistently besides some intense scenes. Yesterday, I dropped below 10 FPS in frequent frame drops on the isle. With nothing happening. What. The. Fuck.
akshually pesky carno is a small game hunter and should be relegated to using its awful turn, acceleration, and stamina to hunt things dryo size and below ONLY ignore that its charge is useless one these guys since they get one shot by bites anyway, that doesnt matter, and that the charge just makes it harder to hit them. carno is actually an insectivore

And you're required to hunt certain types occasionally if you want to keep strong. They aren't enforcing anything, play how you want. This isn't a rule, it's a reward system

PoT isn't adding microtransactions aside from the backer skins. They just haven't readjusted the quest rewards.
They also said they weren't adding any more dinosaurs before they have some form of unique ability and then added Cheirus as a Spino clone lmao.

pot isnt a survival game. its an MMO. also those skins dont actually cost that much when questing will tie into your growth
