It was an awesome day on the bike and trails like these are something I would quite like to do more of in the future! Hope you enjoyed it. Check out the strava ride and link to the trail in the video description!
Absolutely awesome video. I know the feeling well of those rides where you finish and you're barely there. You don't feel that you want to sleep or eat or anything, its a state beyond exhaustion, almost sickness, where you stopped being able to hold the conversation and banter and high spirits that you started with and just finished on sheer stubbornness and almost without awareness. Madness, but memorably so. The rides that stretch you are the ones that you remember for years.
Believe me you still looked good after such a ride. OMG 16 hours and so rough nature really all my respect to you tree guys. I really liked the detail of the book were you drawed the route 👍👍👍
Cam that was such an amazing vlog. Really creative with the concept & the narration...it had so many layers to it. It was a joy to watch this journey of discovery. Chapeau all around.
Great stuff. I rode the C2C route from Southport to Hornsey on the trans Pennines trail, it was an epic 320 kilometres which we rode in 20 hrs. Like you lit, the hardest day on two wheels. Great to look back on.
Nice map drawing skills - who doesnt love a map. they are just adventures waiting to happen. Hardest bit for Mark and Gaz must have been riding past their houses and knowing they had a long long way to go still!
An interesting perspective, I would say overall France is a more beautiful landscape (Tour De France comes to mind) However, the UK being smaller makes for an unmatched variety of hiking/bike packing trails in a relatively close proximity.
That was an incredible ride. Especially I suspect for the other two for sticking with you unless there semi-pro too. You all deserve a pat on the back... well done son
Great video, Cameron. How did the gravel bikes fare on the terrain? Considering doing the route over a few days in the summer on a Cross-Check with 41mm tyres since I don't have a mountain bike!
Thanks Stuart. It is definitely a mountain bike route. The roughness and some steep climbing is more suited to an xc MTB. But if you only have a gravel bike go for the widest tyres and easier gears you can get 👌 great route though, loved it
Just amazing Cameron. One question: this days, did you try to eat as much as you burn, any specific amount of calories pero hour,... or something like that? Good adventure! 🙌🏼
Thanks! Days like this it is sometimes a race of eating as much as it is about the riding. Staying on top of your food and drink before it becomes an issue is important. I am not aiming to hit a certain value every hour but I try to eat something every 30 mins or so to keep topped up. On the long days though it is likely you will have a hard time and run out of energy.

Can't decide what's best:
The epic ride
The beautiful images
The great editing
Or the intimidating facial expression of Cameron in the thumbnail
Scotland is such a beautiful und nice country. Love the videos becuase they combine the magical nature with a good cycle adventure.

the notebook paper overlay added a neat "re-telling" vibe to this video; great vid and music as always
OMG..... amazing trail/video. Loved it 💪🏻🚴♂️💨
Great vid, and an awesome looking day out. Remember that suffering like that is still a privilege!
What a great ride and even better video about it! 🙌🏻

Yeah, can imagine that was a bit soul destroying. The idea of a sit down and proper food would have been nice 🤪
I too would love to do "adventures" like that !😍 But in France the landscapes are not so beautiful ! 😅😂
No way, France is a very beautifull country to ride your bike!
Yes it's true but i think England it's most beautiful no ? :o
@@ammmberrrr 😂😂

Beautiful places in Scotland!

Very cool Mr. Mason
Congrats for this epic ride :)
A lightweight FS xc bike would have made it less tough, but maybe that wasn't what you were looking for. Cracking ride.
I agree. An MTB would be the best bike for the job but was all doable on the gravel bikes.
awesome!
wow that looked amazing
This is so sick. But I live in the area of Amsterdam🙃
Nice video man
Incredible production and hard workout day. ;) How long took all the production and editing ?
Thank you! A week or so. On and off editing.
Wow mine respect
