You did a really good job on this review. Seriously excellent. It was clear, illustrative, and thorough. You went through all the features and functions, and answered all the likely questions. You didn't stammer or say "um". You made demonstrations of the functions look easy to operate. You used examples for frames of references for size and shape. Good job man that was very professional.
😍 My personal rule is "Let's not waste anyone's time" (including myself) so I like to get straight to the meat without the fluff. Thank you for recognizing!
I used a USB meter to monitor the battery charging. When connected to my 2 amp charger, the battery drew 710 milliAmps for several hours, then 110 milliAmps for a while, and then almost zero when the battery's LED changed to blue and it was fully charged. So use any USB charger you like, a big one won't charge the battery any faster than a modest one. The light and the battery work fine. I will probably install CR123 batteries since this light will be kept in the glove compartment of my friend's car and will not get frequent use.
Thanks for this comment and suggestions!
@@LonghornTacticalDoes the flashlight remember the strobe mode? Can it be turned on with a tail switch?
I just lost my PD35 first gen I’ve had for close to 10 years. It was in my pocket every day and beat to poop. Never an issue I’ll miss that guy
LOLOL. Mine is now 10 years old too. Recently , got it warranty replaced by Fenix with this new version. Excellent customer service!! Customer for life.
Fantastic review.Fenix has a winner with this new version.Beautiful, balanced and very bright beam!!!!
Glad you like it!
Thank you. No nonsense. Concise and informative. Much appreciated.
Glad it was helpful!
After watching you again I must say you did a great job at reviewing this light. I wish the light modes were spaced more evenly or another one added like 1,000 lumens. But I can live with 600 lumens. I’d also like to see a quick way to get to turbo. Did they shorten the reflector to make it shorter, I wonder. Either way, nice review
Does the flashlight remember the strobe mode? Can it be turned on with a tail switch?
No it cant i seen that in another video
Would you know the Kelvin on this light or an estimate ?
5800K
Great overview video. Thanks
Does the pd35 v3 tail stand?
The PD35 can stand vertically on its tail end.
@@LonghornTactical thanks
EXCELLENT review. Keep them coming.
Excellent review . . . Fenix makes fantastic lights. I own 2 TK15 U.E.'s - oNe LovE from NYC -
Does it work with flat-top 18650's?
No it only works with button top batteries, and we recommend using Fenix batteries for Fenix lights.
You sounds so much like George Takei 👌
That’s an insult
Excellent review. Thank you.
😎👍
The Fenix PD35 V.30 flashlight is a good EDC light of high quality. I hope this model should be improved a little. This is my opinion, the medium part of the suiz mode should be increased from 150 to 350 lumens and high mode should also be increased from 600 to 900 lumens or 950 lumens and then turbo 1700 lumen. So, the jump distance of changing the lamp level mode is not very far and the average flashlight user most of them only use medium mode. Only a few use High and Turbo mode. depending on the purpose and location. The design of this lamp is very attractive and low profile. I really like it. I actually prefer Dimond grip like the previous model. The most It is better if this EDC lamp has a spring inside the top of the head and under the cap for more protection to the battery and electronics of this lamp. I hope this EDC flashlight is added the number of lumens is upgraded from 1700 to 2000 lumens. SFT-40 upgraded to SFT-70. smooth reflector for long throw. I like the beam profile of this flashlight. I recommend this kelvin color lamp this keeps cool white or slightly upgraded between 6500ck-7000ck :)
Outstanding review
That micro usb should have been a type C. Then its the perfect light!
Exactly. Why the higher end edc equipment mfg companies still use old school tech charging is beyond me. I'm sure it's cost of manufacturing related.
It's on the battery, no? Eventually the batteries will be USB-C
Yes needs USB C
I have had two PD 35 flashlights, and the LED burned out on both over several years
Dang. How much use did they have?
Fenix ruined the PD35 with this version. The beam is too focused and lacks enough spill for average use. The jump from 600 to 1700 lumens between high and turbo modes jumps over the sweet spot of 900-1000 lumens. They removed the front spring making it less reliable as a weapon mounted light and will no longer accept flat top batteries. The knurling as inadequate now and slippery with any amount of moisture. I love most fenix flashlights but absolutely hate this thing. Just ordered a UC35 to replace the 2014 PD35 I have still been using over the V3 but recently lost, I hope the spill is better with it.
Great review!
Thanks!
A new flashlight and micro USB socket?! This must be some kind of joke, Phoenix. In addition, small capacity and long charging time. This is a big minus.
Where to purchase this product in India?
You can check out lightmen led torch/flashlight store
They deal in fenix flashlights
