As someone who had hair this long and then cut it this short, I'm glad she opted for a weave first. I truly enjoyed short hair, but after a few months I was over it and wanted to throw my hair in a bun. At least she can wear this style, which is lower maintenance than a real short cut, and either get that itch out of the way or be certain she wants to commit.

When you are young you wanna try out different styles n looks..but I agree her hair with this curls isn't easy to manage..it never workt with my natural hair, always too curly so this method is much better and she looks so cool

I have worn weaves and wigs for 25 years because I love the variety of colors and styles I can achieve without botching and chopping my hair up. I braid my own hair down and keep my edges protected. I've never had hair loss like many people because of doing what you do to protect it. I'm 52 and I have long healthy thick hair. I'm aggravated at people always thinking people wear wigs and weaves due to not having any hair or "self hatred" as many ignorant black folk keep pushing so they can get an audience. I didn't just drastically cut all my hair off. I gradually worked my way up to a short cut. Her hairstyle looks great but I have the feeling she may regret it if she goes that short. You did a wonderful job!!

Firstly, let me say you are a wonderful woman. Most hair stylists would have chopped that hair off as quick as you like! Having a lot of hair myself I am finding it really hard to find a good stylist who isn't scissor happy. I have curly hair and when I walk into a salon and they look at me and I ask them how much it will be for them to put layers in my hair for me they give me the most craziest of prices! I only want layers not a full hair cut, the last price I was told was £85.00, I was told being mixed and having the texture I have its more challenging for them....!? I was out of that salon as fast as I stepped in lol. You've given this young lady a choice and allowed her to see how she'd look if she were to go down the route of cutting her own beautiful hair off. Hats off to you and its so refreshing to see we do still have good stylists who are not just in it for the money. Thank you again. You did a good job with the weave though!! Are you going to do a video if she wants it all off!!?? I hope you manage to talk her out of it and to opt for weaves instead! You can be her personal hair stylist because you know what she wants and what suits her face. Others will only be too happy to chop it all off. Your just amazing. I remember when I was in my late 20’s I wanted my just past shoulder blade length hair cut into a pixie and my sister talked me into letting her give me a short weave, I’m so glad she did even though I loved the style I couldn’t get used to the short hair, but you do what you feel, it’s your hair. I only want layers not a full hair cut, the last price I was told was £85.00, I was told being mixed and having the texture I have its more challenging for them....!? I was out of that salon as fast as I stepped in lol. You've given this young lady a choice and allowed her to see how she'd look if she were to go down the route of cutting her own beautiful hair off. Hats off to you and its so refreshing to see we do still have good stylists who are not just in it for the money. Thank you again. You did a good job with the weave though!! Are you going to do a video if she wants it all off!!?? I hope you manage to talk her out of it and to opt for weaves instead! You can be her personal hair stylist because you know what she wants and what suits her face. Others will only be too happy to chop it all off. Your just amazing. I have seen your other work and think your amazing..a gift from God. I wish you were in London the UK because you'd be my personal stylist and someone I know I could trust. Damn you got that off, now that is what I call a beautiful hair style. For a beautiful girl. I can't believe she wants to cut her real hair. Girl there are people out there that wish they had your hair. Well what ever you decide to do we can only respect it. To the hair stylist where are you located,? I would love for you to give me a quick weave. I really enjoyed watching your videos you are all that! Oh additional thought for the young lady my cousin had really long hair also and once she decided to cut her hair eventually she started to miss it but it never grew back long.

I remember when I was in my late 20’s I wanted my just past shoulder blade length hair cut into a pixie and my sister talked me into letting her give me a short weave, I’m so glad she did even though I loved the style I couldn’t get used to the short hair, but you do what you feel, it’s your hair.
