I’m new to ham radio, finding myself gravitating to QRP and CW. Learning CW (it’s a struggle!) and about to take the General exam. A QRPlabs QMX kit is sitting on the table, waiting for me to get started. 🤞
You will love the QMX. It is a great radio and works very well. As far as CW remembers, we all started with the letter E. I still work on my CW every day, and it is all I used to get on the air. Thanks for watching and I hope to catch you one day on CW. 73s
@@MyHamRadioJourney Thanks! Having a good time with all this. And my interests, as it turns out, are completely opposite what I would have thought: CW, QRP, and antennas. I appreciate your videos-very informative and enjoyable.
I am using my icom ic 705 as a qrp portable as well as a base radio connected to a modified Sailor marine amplifier. 3 watts from the radio gives 200 watts out on all ham bands.
Qrp qso's are the most exciting, I've worked 13k miles with my 5w qcx.
Nothing compares to QRP DX
Same here. There is a huge excitement when you work DX on 5 watts. Thanks for watching. 73s
Absolutely love the QMX!!
It is a fantastic radio. I have even worked DX on 5 watts. Thanks for watching. 73s
I love my qrp radios. I built my first radio which was an HW-8 while I was Keelser AFB.
I would like to build a radio. I might try the QMC single band this winter. Thanks for watching. 73s

I didn’t go, I know people who have went, plus I live in the next country over.
