Poor Cass. The problem with the whole "but why isn't it an animal?" bit is that nobody really reads the lore for the monsters in the manual! XD Sure, there are animals and people, but then there are also creatures that SHOULD NOT EXIST but were created by magic (eg: Owlbears, made by crazy wizards, which is why they're so dang aggressive) and creatures that were pulled to the mortal realm from other dimensions/realities... And if that's not the case for a particular game's setting, then the "animal" spells SHOULD work on them!
