I moved to Sherman about 5 years ago and visited this mall one time. The fact that this mall didn't even have a Food court I knew then I'd end up seeing it on a dead mall video. Thank you for making it happen.

UK dead mall vids don't really exist to the same degree of the US ones (some exceptions of course), but after taking a walk round my old hometown (Croydon in South London) I'm tempted to make one in a similar vein to the US ones someday

The first entrance you tried got me in when i visited a few years back... I remember because i came in right by the theater, which looked like it could reopen any moment.
Your assessment is spot on; incomes have decreased, and no more disposable income. I have gotten away from malls so I go to shops in New York City, that and no sales tax for under $150. The sames goes for my welfare county, so I either shop on apps or NYC.
Its called Midway because it was built halfway between downtown Sherman and downtown Denison on Texoma Parkway, which at the time was Highway 75 Dallas and Oklahoma have nothing to do with the name.
Sherman-Denison are just too small to support a mall as it is. With the pre-COVID "retail apocalypse" made worse by COVID, combined with the relative proximity of Collin County and their large malls and lifestyle centers (such as Stonebriar and Fairview Town Center, which are in much more economically-viable areas), Midway just had no way to survive. Locally, there are large strip-shopping centers just north of the interchange between US-75 and US-82. These are right along the freeway too, and the Sherman Town Center on the west side of US-75 includes "mall" stores like Belk (anchor), Claire's, and Old Navy as well. If anything, these newer retail developments would probably have done more to kill Midway than anything in Collin County.
Hi! Bath and body is now closed, the little “ consignment store ?” If you want to call it that haha ( the store with all the weird random shit ) is still open, over heard one of the workers there saying the man that operates the train ride that goes around the mall his brother is part owner or some kind of ownership of the mall and is related to a worker in that shop. Seems kind of like a family keeping it alive now? Either way this mall gives me the creeps everytime I visit
What should they make the mall now not much with low income maybe a grocery store ,they're is a good chance it might be used as a car dealer ship used one I mean.
From supporting song to depression. Songs from you look good to being mocked for looking good and you should dress bland disphocinal tv shows and enough at home free shit on your phone it hard to find people to go out that's why they failing kids spend every dollar they have

I remember walking this mall in the summer of 2016 and thinking it was one of the deadest malls I had ever visited. I'm amazed it is still open.

I used to travel to the USA a lot in the 1980's and 90's and used to love going around the malls it defined the 80's to me, so sad to see this now.
