I've been updating my 06 puma and have so many parts and bling I purchased last couple months alot of work to do before tournament season here in the Ozarks area 😊
The fact that BassCat and Blazer still have carpet in the boxes blows my mind. When I was looking for a new boat I looked at basscat and blazer. Had my heart set on them and then seen what other boat brands were doing and just refused to buy something that didn't solve some of the most basic issues that older boats have. Still absolutely amazing rigs, but the weird shaped boxes and the carpet in the boxes were a deal breaker
@JohnCrews I agree 100%. What other boats have is No carpet but they still charge you like you're getting carpet. If you're going to go no carpet in the rod lockers, give the people a discount... nope.
@@JohnCrews Every boat I had with carpet in boxes and rod lockers always some way or another would get wet and stay wet. I do like that it protects your equipment better and also cuts down on noise, but I just can't imagine dealing with carpet in boxes now that I have a boat without it. Everyone has their own preferences
Looking good. Question: When you mount things like the PP charge, do you drill pilot holes and then run screws right thru the fiberglass and into the floatation cavity? I think I'd prefer to glue a sacrificial piece of 1/2 or 3/4 inch plastic or treated wood first.
How much time does it take you to rig your boat? I know when I get my new boats, I love to rig them my way. It may feel like work to some people, but to me its fun to do.
@@JohnCrews when I talked to power pole about my setup they said if you have 3 -100 amp our 12 volts to get 36 volts you enter 100 in the app. It you have one 36 volt at 65 amp hours you put in 65 in the app and if you have 2- 36 volts in parallel you would put in 130 amp hours (2 at 65)
Nice looking ride. Thanks for sharing John
Sweet! A lot of work for sure. Waiting!!
About to start rigging my college boat!!
Nice
Let Go Crew's
my 2002 P3 was set up the same way! it works well so they still do it!
That is so slick!

Carpet protects the reels from getting beat up. Bass Cat actually has waterproof boxes so that’s nice

glad my new rangerhas carpet in the long boxes -- wish all of the boxes had something in the bottom and sides to save the glass
Fastenal is awesome for stainless stuff as well, if you order online they pack everything for you and you just run and grab it.

Very interested to get your in-depth opinion on Caracal STS vs the Puma STS. Thinking one of those is going to be my next rig.
2 great choices !! great issue to have!
How well do 8' rods fit in the lockers? Can you give a demonstration?
Will do.
Nice caracal, I’m Intersected in the hybrid 203 have you had any time in that boat.
What are you using as a battery pad? Thanks!
I used an outdoor stair pad
What terminal extenders do you have on the 12v?

Wouldn’t your amp hours for a single 36 volt just be 65 in the app? Wouldn’t you only double it if you had 2 batteries in parallel
It’s the total combined amp hours for each 12v battery. Correct on doubling 2 batteries but only if they are 12v batteries

Are you running all your electronics off of the cranking battery
Wondering the same
Check your trolling battery if you have one 36 it should be 63 amp hrs
Yeah pretty sure he had that wrong his 36 is a 65 amp hour, so you would enter 65, if it was 2 in parallel then it would be 130
what 36 V battery is that number wise? model
M32215-S
hi john, I can’t find that model anywhere. Where could I buy one? The one for the Trolling motor?
??
I think your AH setting for the Charge on your 36V battery is incorrect
Told you i would lend a hand if needed
Appreciate it
