I‘ll be honest, with the exception of 1 attack Gabriel seems way easier to me at least. He has just way more wind up in his attacks which makes it easier to react to, Luna however has several attacks that come out in an instant which is hard to dodge up close.
Alpha is 100% Physical, Luna is 10% Physical/90% Dark, they are both strong in what they do, but if you know how to play, every character can be strong
you see those red blue and yellow skill orbs above the attack buttom those are the skills that you can use as well as dashing out of animations makes the combat very fluid and fun

Well ur not wrong about spamming buttons but theres a lot of complexity behind when to use which button
thankfully it's not all spam button. it actually takes some level of skill lol.
