I love this. All-a-Cart (ZTFab's manufacturer) is charging $310, delivered, for something I would expect to pay $100 for. Think of this: the Harbor Freight cart, with tax, only costs $10 more than the ZTFab kit, which is basically two unpainted brackets and some wheels. There is no way that makes sense, even with China factored in. Today I went to my metal supplier and spent $32. Tomorrow, I will have to spend another $10 or so on another piece. By the time I pay for paint and bolts, I should be into this for around $85, plus the tool chest. So $405 instead of $640. God bless All-a-Cart if people want to pay that kind of money for something they could be building themselves. It's not for me. I plan to build two carts and finally get my welding stuff of the table and floor.
I just received one of Pauls (ZTFab) kits. The dual 9" bottle with 4 cord hangars. This kit is like art work. Custom CNC milled and cut. It is on a whole different level. That kind of metal work cost large. After I tig it up and powder coat it it will far surpass most home built kits. I am a geenyus by trade but don't feel bad I come to youtube once and a while to hang with the regulars.
Hey Justin. I would love to see an update on the cart with a box tour. Pros/Cons of the setup and how you laid out your drawers. I'm waiting on my kit to be delivered so I can start the build.
Just before seeing your video I decided to convert a Craftsman rolling tool cabinet inherited from my dad.....18"x30"; 3 full width drawers and full width bottom storage with pull down drawer. Going to use double 2x10s bolted to original caster mounting points beneath cabinet extending from both ends to form dual tank platforms for mig/tig and oxy-acet tanks. Original casters reattached to 2x10s beneath tanks. Will add cable/hose holders; capped PVC rod holders; HF welding table top hinged from rear with drop down legs; multiple 2"receiver hitch tubes to accept removable vise and other accessories. Going to check out your kit source for pre-fab cable holders etc individually. Thanks for video.
Great idea for a cart, keeping all the welding bits together and draws for clamps, rods(stick electrodes) etc. I'd need to weigh up all the bits so not to overload it though, don't want it collapsing lol.
The corners of the box are wide open since the welders aren't very big. I would just build a rack that attaches to them and gives a shelf for the plasma right above the welders. You already have the box so may as well keep all consumables in one location so you aren't chasing all over the shop. If I was using small welders like that I would probably go for a kit like this. Big time saver and looks robust. Nice vid and well done.
Haven't read all the comments but wondering if stacking the 2 machines side by side on the top is going to allow for proper ventilation of the units???
WHOA!!! That cart kit is absurdly expensive!!!! Check out my previous comment regarding how to modify a tool cabinet as a welding cart for maybe $50 maximum. Not to mention the heartbeats to weld your kit up.
Do you really think this is better than other options for a comparable price ($550)? The HF heavy duty cart that can hold several welders is only $340. I'm curious because I want a welding cart with enclosed drawers (to keep out dust) and I'm exploring the best options.
I just checked on Ztfabs website and the cad drawing has the everlast tig and cooler side by side on a us general box. I will grab both next time i head down south to the US and start the build! Thanks for the video!
I had the same idea for my welding cart and loved it until I put the welder on top of the toolbox and realized it’s very difficult to weld under a car because you lose a lot of torch lead length due to the height of the box itself. If your just bench welding it’s fine I guess. Great product just too tall to be functional.
@@JustinTBraun I got that info from other TH-camrs doing cart reviews. They say Harbor freight sells replacement drawers and that one deep one will fit where 2 shallow ones did.
Your fast movement of the camera makes me seasick. You should PUT the camera on a tripod and shoot MOST of your scenes. YOU do not need to be IN the video except occasionally. Your voice is sufficient.
Some stuff gets the tripod but not very often. Takes a lot of extra time to get shots like that. If I was doing this as my daily job I most definitely would since I would have the extra time.

What’s the name of the website for tool box welder kit cart. ? Thanks 🙏🏼
@@adrianavalos4861 it should be ztfab.com but that forwards to www.all-a-cart.com/welding-cart-kits hope this helps.
Great build. I've been seeing this mod around the way and I think you finally convinced me that I'm going to have to try it.
Thanks! It was fun to build and I hope it helps others who are just starting with welding!

Thank you for sharing. Gives me good idea on getting my set up
The US General green matches the Everlast pretty good. Nice setup.

That should be a rad setup! 🤘🤘
Great idea. Might have to make a cart like that for my shop.
It's a good investment!

That's pretty awesome! Can't wait to order mine.
Excelente 👌 Me dio una buena idea 💡 para aprovechar una cajonera de chapa que tengo olvidada en un rincón Gracias Justin
Thks for the video I ordered one today ! And a 215 Miller
Thanks for posting this video!! I just bought the same kit.

Also LOVE your Dogs , there Wonderful also !
Thanks! Much appreciated! 🤘🤘
This was cool, Now I need this for my tool box!!
Its works pretty good. Makes a good all in one setup.
This thing is mint!
😁🤘
👌
Nice set up
Thank you
Did you bolt the welders to the toolbox or just let it sit up there?
They are just sitting up top. I have never had any issues with them moving around.
Interesting. I guess you could remove the bottom 2 drawers so you could add a water cooler for your tig machine.
That's a great idea! Been thinking about where I would put the water cooler.
Looks pretty damn good!
Hey Thanks!
Good idea man! Super cool and i might have to use your idea 👍
Heck yea!
That's a bad ass set up looks good
Thank you!
Love your videos
Thanks. I appreciate the support!

I done that with a tool box for a weld cart with out a kit I love what I made
Heck yea! I did this to hopefully show people that are just getting into welding that you can make one pretty easy.
Nice looking set up👍
Thank you!
Very nice! Can you put links in the description of the kit and tool box you used?
Yes they are at the top now

Its fantastic! Thanks
Great channel, what's your opinion of the Eastwood MIG 250 welder?
Thanks. I've had my eastwood 250 for about 7 years now and absolutely love it. Would definitely recommend.
Friggin great! Love it!!!

Thanks. Ztfab
Harbor freight box
Awesome!
🤘🤘
Just badass
It works great!
Awesome kit i have a 255ext from everlast with their cooler, do you think it would fit side by side like you did?
I would guess yes. I don't think size wize they are much bigger.

So after 6 months you still happy with it? Just upgraded my everlast to a 250ex unit plus a water cooler so thinking about going this route.
Yes I am. Has been working very well.
Great vid 👍🏾
Thanks!
Justin, what diameter are the rear caster wheels? Thanks
I tryed to buy the cart kit could you give me the site thks

🤘
Sweet!
Yes!
Love it nice job.
Thank you!
Now let’s do a homemade one!!!
I need more room! Haha
Where can I find the parts kit that you attach to the cabinet?
I put the links up top in the comments
Does it come with the toolbox or not
No it doesn't.
Very nice!
😁
Where did you get the rod tubes?
Would this kit work on the 44in box ?
I'm not sure. I would be interested to find out though.
Where can I get that kit?

how do I find your partnets channel ..trying to see how his project ended up..

Do you have any experience in tig welding exhaust?
Some.

That's why the car lift is handy to have 👍
As well as longer leads.
Nice my friend
Thanks 🤘
I need get better at welding first, then build cart. Can't have it fall apart on me.
Most definitely!
What's the link to the parts for the cart?
Yes what’s the link to the parts

Tell them Overtime Garage sent ya! 🤘😁
All said and done with welders, how much?
I will have to add it all up. I got my mig a long time ago.
You should do a tour of all you bixes in you shop
I really need to soon!!
How do you like the mig 250?
I like it a lot. I've had it for about 5 years now and it has done awesome. Definitely would recommend them.
link for the zt fab seems to be broken

Where did you purchase the kit

Buy a miller multimatic and that way you don’t need two welding machines.
But then I'd have to buy another welder lol.
Any reason this wouldn’t fit on the 44in box?
I'm not sure if it will or not. Would be neat to find out.
And the prices you paid for everything?????????
250 for cart kit, 200 for toolbox
I think Harbor freight sells different (deeper) drawers that will fit in place of 2 or 3 shallow drawers. Room for helmet etc.
Where do they sell the drawers separate?
@@JustinTBraun I got that info from other TH-camrs doing cart reviews. They say Harbor freight sells replacement drawers and that one deep one will fit where 2 shallow ones did.
hi
🙋♂️
$250.00 for that!I like'm Built,not Bought!
