All the old stuff has be shipped off to America and other places that can import them, Not many old kei cars still left in japan

A lot of new Kei are so similar because made in the same plant and just badged/equipped differently, but they are all great.

Copens in uk sold from 02 in Kei 660Turbo & non 1300 in Europe certainly in the UK.

With prices American seem to get ripped off with any JDM car unless you do go to Japan for it , infact still think it would be cheaper buying a Copen from here, a car gets to 25 years old a dealer or a private seller wouldn't put a huge increase on it. Oldest are on an 02 think the 1300cc started from about 05 regardless they can be found here from £2000 which is about $2500. They come with electric folding roof & windows & heated leather seats later 1300cc with about 95bhp have cruise control etc. With roof up they have a decent size boot/trunk.
Bring me back a van from the 90's so i can plate it.

Please don’t feel bad for filming the new kei car stuff or even the non kei cars. Everything from japan is cool. Especially since everyone is snatching up all the “hero” cars like the GTRs and supras now is a great time to research other potential alternatives for a daily driver. As we continue of experience outrageous prices on new cars in America, buying a jdm used low mileage early 2000s CRV beats paying monthly on a crappy Chevy Traverse. So when the time comes you have a sweet reliable, underrated and also possibly a sleeper for a daily.

I'm halfway through and I've had to stop, getting a bit overwhelmed here. What a selection.
Did you notice that the first Suzuki Gear Spacia was a hybrid? Wonder what that does for the performance. Also, I thought the first Copen looked so much better with the 'spoiler' on the trunk lid but that second one (a Copen Robe?) looked like a restyle. Or was it all aftermarket stuff? Looked good.
I believe all keis even new ones are still govern to have “63 HP” but the new ones even come electric so it’s a different world out here

But i love my hijet 2014 with KF-VE motor , not a jumbo one but really good and came directly from japan💪🫶
