You guys are praising this drama so much , but that scene of dance teacher was quite absurd and making no sense, in the same way Rabi father having affairs with other women is also not clicking
In meri tanhai, Azaan Sami Khan did not act like he was new in London at all. He needed to be more bewildered, out of his comfort zone till he properly settles in. Zero culture shock was offputting.
#MeriTanhai: The plot is already revealed in one of the teasers. Kubra is Ali Murads daughter. He will leave her and the mother in Uk( probably played by Armeena Khan) due to some conspiracy hatched by the sister. Btw although I am Indian, I don’t think the library scenes are shot in London. First of all the hero said he was going to London Business School (which means he would pursue MBA or MiM) but he was searching for books on Genetic Engineering. 2ndly I saw books on Engineering Mathematics written by BS Grewal on the book racks. He is Indian and his books are very popular and taught in all Indian engineering colleges. Not demeaning the person at all or the book(because I myself followed this book during my engineering degree) but chances of finding a BS Grewal in a library of any university of London is very low and that too if it’s a Business School. Coming to the story part, because of the teasers no intrigue value is left. Performances are okay, neither too extraordinary nor too bad.
What an observation of yours it's really amazing and I feel hero character lacks the basic manners. In first episode, he was threatening his parents to make them yearn for him for not sending to London. It's like being ungrateful to parents and arrogant. In recent episode, when his boss asked him the reason for being late. He didn't even stand infront of boss while replying and said that his alarm didn't rang. Two episodes have shown two big flaws in hero character ungrateful attitude and complete arrogance. I too observed the genetical engineering book's but failed to notice bs Grewal written engineering book there.
just right now Amna pointed out directors mistakes and they openly roast most of the content hardly one or two dramas make it to top which I agree should be the case but then Yasir also shared his review about reviewers which too should be fine. Everyone has the right to share their opinions. Don’t take it personally ‘pese leke review Kia’. It’s okayyy! You’ve been roasting most of them as a part of your job and if once yasir has taken a dig at reviewers then it’s not about you. Danish nawaz in that podcast has actually praised you both about being serious reviewers and taken your names. I like your content too. Just putting my 2 cents out there
Yasir Nawaz wants you to watch with blinders on, just like the politicians want you to believe all is well, Yasir Nawaz wants you to believe his world of ghair is perfect.
It's okay if Yasir Nawaz passed a comment on reviewers. He has his own opinion. Reviewers also say a lot of stuff and get away with it. Infact they thrive on passing comments on content creators and performers. Not every things has to be taken to heart. If the makers make their heart big the reviewers should do the same.
There is a difference between passing comments and putting allegations. YN said that reviewers accept money for doing bad reviews. Its not just a comment, its an allegation. Although i do agree that HC should not take it personally. I listened to that podcast and was surprised too when YN said so. On the other hand, i m also surprised by mediocre work by him. YN's work is usually much better than that. I believe it has something to do with channels controlling the content and not letting the directors do things their way. That might be the reason Yasir stated that he is not interested in direction anymore.
Reviewers don’t comment on the craft. On the profession. They give critique about characters, writing and production quality etc. so it’s totally different.
TMNON is 11/10!!!! 🎉 so well written, such a beautiful storyline and loving the actors ! Enjoying every single episode! I agree with Hasan I wish we had more episodes in the week! ❤❤❤
Anyone who has watched the real good Pakistani dramas, that used to be wrapped in 20-25 episodes sometimes even 15, where stories had some meaning, characters spoke naturally and looked natural, houses were not palatial and writer actually worked. Anyone having been audience to that will not like any drama in the past couple of years. Even the best of best dramas either had dragging problem or something else. It used to be classic now it’s all just tacky.
I think most of the directors and actors live in their la la land….they can’t even take an ounce of criticism about their work….i remember maya ali talking about it ki reviewers ac wale kmre m bthke kch b bolte h then behroz sabzwari(if i remember correctly)calling them parasites then danish taimoor saying he don’t even think about the reviews and now yasir nawaz….i really respect those artists who can take criticism and try to improve themselves…even if they can’t they can keep it to themselves rather than blabbing on podcasts and interviews
True . The audience is the boss . It is the same as working in an office and expect your boss to be praising you all the time despite your bad work . I don't know when they will understand this.
@ZiaUlRehman-ot8hx the thing is it's 2025. All new dramas feel from the 90s. No problem if that's what they want to make Then take away cellphone and digital fact out and make it as traditional as they want.
I think the phrase you are looking for Hassan - is ‘he wants his cake and eat it’ meaning he wants to enjoy the benefits of something without giving up anything in return. So to have best of both.
I dismissed noorjahan because of the saas bahu content but then it picked up and became one of my favourite….so i will give meri tanhai a benefit of doubt because of kubra….it seems mediocre but maybe it will become interesting….kubra always chooses her scripts wisely
@@punyaaggarwal4411yeah she does very less amount of dramas but almost all of her dramas are good atleast the ones i have watched….her last six projects were very good
Haven't been able to catch up on Tan man neel o neel but its definitely on my must-watch list. The review of tmnon by Aamna and Hasan reminded me of their reviews on Jannat se Aagay. That is how they used to praise the attention to detail, the emotional and entertainment quotient, the layered characters, the realism of the execution, the uniqueness of the narrative and so on and so forth. What my question is, it was Haseeb Hasan who directed it and he put his heart and soul into it and earned that critical acclaim...if he did it with JSA why couldn't he do it with SMD? There is more to it than just a rotten script. Would love answers on this one.
I am with Hassan on meri Tanhai and aye dil not registering because of Azaan looking the same. I can’t remember what happened in either shows because Azaan doesn’t stand out. I think if the actors can’t space themselves, the reviewers shouldn’t review all their dramas at the same time.
#Tan_Mann_Neel_o_Neel is hands down the best drama currently running in Pakistan, completely flawless. Writing to Story to Direction to Casting to Performances to drama pace, everything keeps you hooked & entertained. Kudoooz to the team... 👏 👏 👏
Yes, Hasan, I watched Its What's Inside the day it was released, and I have to say, it was an amazing movie! 🥰 You're the only other person I know who has seen it, and that makes me so happy. I’ve recommended it to so many people since. I love how you also recommended this gem of a film!
OMG finally able to post here!!! Thank you so much for the episode. Despite not watching many dramas these days, the reviews you put up are so hilarious and make the week!! Aamna, British born Pakistanis often call not just each other but those immigrants from Pakistan whom come to study, work etc as ‘Pakis’ to differentiate between those of us born here and those born in Pakistan. Also, when are you doing the Yakeen ka Safar review please, I binged it again in preparation!!! Hassan, I watched your last Netflix recommendation which freaked me out, the Julia Robert’s one!!
Hassan there is no need to mention in every TMNON review that Jafaa was not your favourite performance of Sehar. We know it and we get it even though she was really good with whatever was written for the character.
Agree! There was absolutely no lacking in her performance, from college going happy go lucky andaleeb to married andaleeb, her acting was top notch. It was the writing of her character that was not the best!
I wonder why they forget Maya Ali's performance while reviewing Sun Mere Dil. Sehar has given us wonderful dramas despite being a very young actor and Fairytale is my all time favourite.
Not really, it IS very negative when used by a non Asian but youth cultures have evolved and some derogatory language has been reclaimed by members of the communities themselves in order to take back affirmative action and power. Subcultures within communities outside of the sub continent do use language in differing ways. However, Kubra’s character HAS used it in a negative way as she obviously has a negative viewpoint. Rightly or wrongly these words are used here in the UK by Asians themselves.
I have a feeling that either Rabi or Sonu might not make it. It seems unlikely that they will have a happy ending especially with how Kami is behaving. It looks like he might end up killing Sonu with the help of his friends or he could go after Rabi for his honour. But honestly this series is amazing. Everything is just perfect from the writing to the direction and the acting. The positive reception of these short series is encouraging for PTV as it may inspire other channels to explore this format too. One of the best things about short series is the fast pace it keeps things moving quickly so if there are any mistakes they can be easily overlooked.
Welcome back, Hassan and Happy New Year to you and Aamna! 🎉 Quickly pointing out a couple of things that are slightly incorrect in today's review: 1) Ghair: The insert of the two little boys are Wafa's two different brothers - one is Dr. Jalil's (Hawwa's second husband) son Shahvaiz and Zain, her half-brother who she now lives with, is her father Usman's and step-mum Malahat's son. Zain has been played by the same boy since the very beginning, whereas her other two siblings (Kashaf and Shahvaiz) have seemed to have vanished off the face of the Earth 😂 Ghair is a ridiculous drama. Our media is still in need of desperate training, especially when it comes to taking constructive criticism. Yasir Nawaz could have responded in a million better ways. 2) British-Pakistani here - born and raised Londoner - and can wholeheartedly confirm that the word "Paki" is a racial slur in the UK, even within the Desi community. Kubra, being British-Pakistani herself, should have challenged that line and pushed for it to be rephrased. Aamna was rightfully surprised/baffled.
I like the upfront and honest attitude of Hassan regarding #Ghair... 2 many flaws , no story , no strong acting and direction ... mein bhi Hassan k kehne pe hi dekh rahi hun Ghair besides Amna aur pata nahi kitne log bhi Hassan k kehne pe hi dekh rahy hongy... ye to Hassan ne unko Faida kiya views brhae.... 😊 Secondly, I would like to remind you guys that the boy who is playing Wafa's bro is Babar Ali's son, while the other boy Abaan, famous from the drama Pinjira is shown as Aijaz Aslam's son who is Wafa's step father. #red folder mein waqai aik bhi paper nahi tha aur ye sab ne note Kiya hoga....😂 bihat painful hojata hai experience to watch such a drama with too many flaws... Big shout out for Hassan to be so honest about this drama besides the fact that Yasir Nawaz is his neighbor... Yasir Nawaz bhai, please be honest and accept this that you didn't do justice with Ghair
We need a brilliant review on meem se mohabbat from you both this time. The last 2 episodes (7 and 8) were absolutely amazing and totally enjoyable in every aspect. It's trending on no. 1 in INDIA❤. HONESTLY I am thoroughly loving MSM since episode 1! It deserves the hype!!
Hassan Jee in ghair , wafa’s brother you are talking about is her half brother from her mother ki second shaddi This one is half brother from her dad ki second wife The clip shown here is those two
Tan man Neel o Neel Is so important and amazing drama..but sorry I don't understànd the story narrated by sonu's mother..yes the message is good k zulm k khilaf khary Hu..lakin story is not necessary ..Maine Kaha pata NHI shyd mother ko BHI harras Kiya geya Hu bàchpan Mia bhut it was nothing ..so not needed otherwise mind blowing drama
Salam Hassan and Amna, I honestly have no idea who you guys were?, are?, but I know you now only through your this show and ahi channel. I absolutely adore you both and the way you talk friendly and joke. I am your absolute fan. Nosheen from UK
Amna talking about clickbait, meanwhile HUM TV first baited us with frames of Meri Tanhai and giving nothing in the second episode and baited promo of Meem Se Mohabbat as well
Meri tanhai and Ae Dil, both are sub par. Unfortunately Azan Sami is not a good actor and the story so far is too meh in Meri tanhai. Ae Dil is so full of cliché that it is total roast material. Disappointed with both dramas
25:52 That left pic is her brother from her mums second marriage. The right pic is her brother from her dad. It was the same kid from the beginning. You're editor has made a mistake! Again!
Tan Man Neel O Neel is the best drama on television right now in terms of writing, direction, performances, everything.
TMNON: you are not the only ones who thought the mother was assaulted by her dance teacher. It took me 2 -3 rewinds to understand she wasnt assaulted.
Yes, context was wrong.it would be better if she started with a female dancing teacher who gave me this lesson
I think everyone thought the same that she is gonna tell her abuse story thats how it was heading 🤦🏻♀️
You guys are praising this drama so much , but that scene of dance teacher was quite absurd and making no sense, in the same way Rabi father having affairs with other women is also not clicking
True I thought the same
In meri tanhai, Azaan Sami Khan did not act like he was new in London at all. He needed to be more bewildered, out of his comfort zone till he properly settles in. Zero culture shock was offputting.
It showed that he belongs to a rich family, so he might visit before, but again, he is not a good actor either

MashaAllah, what observation. Impressed!!
Oh My Gawd!
Happy New Year, Hassan!
So glad to see you back!
Missed these conversations so much. These feel real to me. ❤
Iqtidar is just like indian serials
No Stories just Couple romantic Scenes
Now after adding romantic scenes after the fact, later part of story is not mai g sense. Shah teeling his mother to send Mehru away😅
I am spending my precious time only on QARZEJAAN… what a wonderful drama… perfection to its best

And covering sensitive topics and how it affects people when they try to get justice
In Iqtadar he wants to “ have his cake and eat it too” I think that’s what you guys were trying to say about the hero being with both ladies 🤣🤣
Just a small suggestion to Hassan: "mixed breed" is not appropriate to use for a person. :) ... just say mixed, or multiracial, or of mixed ethnicity.
I was thinking the exact same thing. Humans are not bred, they are mixed ethnicity.
Welcome back Hasan….miss you both together.
I WATCHED FASHION FORTNIGHTLY BECAUSE OF HASAN AND AMNA ❤️
Meri Tanhai: the production team couldn’t fly the friends to London, that’s why the indoor shots were shot in Clifton wala London apartment.
😂 i noticed the same
Lots of times you can tell by power outlets and appliances that it's created but not shot abroad 😅
Also you guys gave the perfect response to Yasir Nawaz's stance on reviewers. Just the right balance of sarcasm and driving the intended point home.
I missed it, where is it?
Timestamp pls
It was basically throughout the ghair review so just follow that time stamp

@@hamnaaamer9339 ok thx 👍
Is it just me or WE LITERALLY DON'T HAVE ANY GOOD DRAMAS GOING ON RIGHT NOW???? like i am not excited or looking forward to watch any ...
Not even Qarz e jaan and TMNON ?
Tan man neel o neel
Honestly Farar is pretty amazing. It's a green Tv project

Agree. Viewers are the reviewers. Mostly we pass the newcomers but when seasoned actors make excuses, like why😮
True . The audience is the boss . It is the same as working in an office and expect your boss to be praising you all the time despite your bad work . I don't know when they will understand this.
@ I think they estimate audience approval by views which is kinda sad also as disastrous projects like sun mere dil also gets unbelievable views…

Here for the roasting of Ghair and iqtidar and appreciation for Tan Man neelo neel.
I think the phrase is that " He wants the best of both worlds"
TMNON: Aamna jee summing up all the things in 8-10 mins!!! Complete package Drama
So good to see you Hassan. Welcome back 😀

When samiya mumtaz’s character started narrating the story i thought it was about sexual harassment….am i the only one who thought that?😅
The only dramas i am watching is qarz e Jaan, duniyapur and meem se mohabbat
Even being a family drama most of them are not yelling Aunties or MILs like other shows. And seems like it could be someone' story
Thanks for posting the review. It was worth the wait.
Hassan slight correction on your vocabulary. A breed is referred to in animals. However, yes, Kubra is portrayed as a mixed-race person.
welcome back hassan! we missed you.
Welcome back, Hassan and Happy New Year to you and Aamna! 🎉
Quickly pointing out a couple of things that are slightly incorrect in today's review:
1) Ghair: The insert of the two little boys are Wafa's two different brothers - one is Dr.
Secondly, I would like to remind you guys that the boy who is playing Wafa's bro is Babar Ali's son, while the other boy Abaan, famous from the drama Pinjira is shown as Aijaz Aslam's son who is Wafa's step father.
#red folder mein waqai aik bhi paper nahi tha aur ye sab ne note Kiya hoga....😂 bihat painful hojata hai experience to watch such a drama with too many flaws...

where is Duniyapur's review?
It will be uploaded tomorrow, Saturday.

Not a fan of ghair but chota bhai is same. In the insert other kid was dr. Jalil and hawwa’s son shown in first few episodes
Library scene in Meri Tanhai is of Salim Habib University, karachi
Salam Hassan and Amna, I honestly have no idea who you guys were?, are?, but I know you now only through your this show and ahi channel. I absolutely adore you both and the way you talk friendly and joke. I am your absolute fan. Nosheen from UK
Amna talking about clickbait, meanwhile HUM TV first baited us with frames of Meri Tanhai and giving nothing in the second episode and baited promo of Meem Se Mohabbat as well
30:44 library karachi ki baheria uni hhh it wss there in zindingi gulzar hhh josh mehrban and inkar and sun mere dil so yeah it was that
Why not reviewing QEJ, the most interesting n power-packed drama.
They are bro watch other episodes of review .... The episode comes on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday
This week QEJ review came tomorrow
Looking forward to Deepak Pirwani’s interview. Enjoying his acting in qarz e jan
I totally agree with Hassan review about Meri Tanhai
I missed you Hassan soo much... 😍
Again!
