- Episode 1 of the video blog of our Mediterranean Cruise with SAGA on board the ship Spirit of Adventure, March 2024. I show our life on board during the sea days, including Kathryn doing some line dancing in the Guest Performance Showcase, and give a brief glimpse of Gibraltar and Barcelona. I include some examples of the daily programme on sea days which is something I would have found useful before the cruise.
This is so useful. Going on my first Saga cruise next week!
That's quite a sheltered promenade deck (which is good), and really quite wide too.
And ukulele classes.....well that's a new one on us. Never heard of that before, but how fun.
That's interesting to see the cabin décor. We like the look of that.
Hope you do a separate cabin tour video. They are always popular.
Thanks. My Tour of the Ship has another perspective on the standard cabin if you wanted to have a look. th-cam.com/video/2hxF_KFjkzc/w-d-xo.html
Thank you. Have a great time!
Excellent Vlogs Will, I really enjoyed watching all 3 episodes. Really pleased you enjoyed your first Saga cruise and will be coming back for more. It was lovely to meet you too during the cruise 🙂
Hello Dean, thanks very much. It was a pleasure to meet you both.
Thank you for this happy reminder of our cruise, look forward to part 2
Thank you very much for these vlogs. Through your videos (and your subsequent replies to our questions), you’ve addressed all of our queries, we’re really reassured now!
Really looking forward to seeing the remaining instalments of this cruise Will and Catherine.
So we've given your lovely channel a Subscribe 👍and will be back to watch and enjoy more of "This is what I See"
Thanks. Your channel looks great, so I have also given it a subscribe.
@@whdavies most kind Sir. Much appreciated.
What time of day were you filming? Very few people seem to be up yet.
Hello Doreen, the breakfast clip was filmed just after 8 am, the others at various times of the day. Yes, it was one of the things we liked about cruising with Saga, there weren't crowds of people everywhere and it was possible to find a quiet corner away from people if you wanted it.
Thank you for this, we’re doing a similar journey in 4 days.
QUESTION: Is the shuttle from the courtesy car to the ship difficult to do with hand luggage (wheelie bags)? Do you also have to transport your main luggage also, or do they take care of that for you?
No, taking the shuttle from the terminal to the ship is not difficult. When you arrive, luggage handlers will meet your car and take your main luggage from you and deliver the cases to your cabin. You are not limited to one bag so they could take all the wheelie bags if you would like them to.
@@whdavies thank you so much, that’s a relief. ☺️
No wonder it attracts over 65’s, how dull and boring😊
"Party on Wayne, party on Garth!" 😁
Love this 💛
Hi enjoyed the video. Just wanted to ask ,you said you were picked up at home and another couple in Bath and took you to the port but why did you have to catch a shuttle bus to the ship, or have I missed something?
If you look at the end of episode 3 I have a still photo of the cruise terminal to the right of the picture. It's the building with the name "Portsmouth" on it. This is where you drop off your bags and check in. The following picture shows the shuttle bus next to the entrance to the ship's walkway. Hope that helps.
Thank you, I shall be watching vlog 3. I had the same question (similar). Is the shuttle congested? Is there room for hand luggage like little cabin cases?
Thanks again, we travel in 4 days.
@@caroleceres No, the shuttle wasn’t congested, and I seem to recall there was a dedicated space for luggage on the bus. Our hand luggage was small enough to fit between our feet.
@@whdavies ok that’s good news. Ours are small too, we’re just not very agile (or quick)! But we won’t mind bringing up the rear. 😄
