📒 Shri Rudram or Rudra Puja is a set of mantras that are done to invoke and pay obeisance to the Shiva tattva (Shiva energy/ principle) in the cosmos. These mantras will not only help one grow spiritually, but it will also help one achieve everything else that they desire in their material life. The ShriRudram is not done for the benefit of self because worshipping a Shivalinga is like worshipping the entire existence.

This is true. I have been doing regular parayanam for years
I am also the one who chanted for this recording at Bangalore AOL ashram as far as i remember this was recorded in the year 2006/2007.

The matras, swaras (pitch) (udatta, anudatta, swarita), yuktakshara uchcharana, the speed (not very fast, not very slow), the voice (not very loud, not very feeble); everything copybook style.

Shravan month is very auspicious in the rainy season, especially on Mondays to have Rudra puja.

Just few lines about Veda.....
1.Veda is power of Sound, this whole Universe began from Sound, Omkara nadham,
Veda pronunciation is the ultimate and please don't see the literal meaning of veda lyrics.
2.The sound is nothing but Nadham Or Sivam in Sivathathuvam, please refer to it.
3. Pancha Bootham will obey veda, when we pronounce it properly.
4. When we listen Veda and indulge in it, the impact of Kali yuga reduces significantly to an individual.

My sincere gratitude to Art of Living. Only one request, recently the atmosphere while hearing the sacred chant has been destroyed by commercial advertisements , that was not before. This is something sole satisfying devotional thing which should not be damaged anyway
Even if they(AOL) don't include adds youtube does to all videos especially a big/popular channel's videos. Only solution is premium subscription or downloading this video and watching it offline.

The pronunciation as well as the maatra kala, the timing, is very ideal for all to learn Sri Rudram. My Swamiji Jagadguru Channabasavaraja Deshikendra Shivacharya of Srishaila Nidumamidi Mutt used to chant similarly and also advised to learn similarly. Great contribution from Art of Living. Chanting Rudram is good for the individual, for family, for the locality, for the city, for the district, for the state, for the country and for the world.

Perfect pronunciation. Hard to find these days. Though there are many uploads of rudram, this one is impeccable! It is very important in such chants.

i am confused because to some this one sounds harsh and nasal, and a bit messy as they are not singing in perfect unison. also why are they saying "ShantE" instead of shanti? does this mean everyone else is wrong?
@Morning Sun Sparkles Dew on fresh grass you totally missed my point. the english spelling (which tries to obviously best describe the SOUND of the original sanskrit) is most often shanti not shante. and indeed most often performers pronounce it as written shanti. now my question remains are all those people wrong? this has nothing to do with reading as written in english versus sanskrit, is it perhaps to do with different dialect within India? are both versions right?
