I just did a big switch from Audi and wanted something more fun , was a toss up between the vette and zl1 , but in the end there is a new zl1 in my garage next to my Audi . And I love it . The car wants to kill me every time I take it out ….it’s completely opposite from the Audi …..

The Camaro is a real track car the vette is good too in fact because of the Nannie’s on the Z06 the regular corvette is better. GM cheapened out on the z06 corvette motor using one fuel pump. So it runs lean and can burn up the cats or worse the motor. But the Camaro is awesome. However in that type of car it SHOULD BE a coupe AND the 1LE package
The modern manual transmission IS the downside. Today’s twin clutch automatic is .5 seconds faster in acceleration. These are SPORTS CARS the idea is to go faster. Not be slower by you shifting. I don’t get the manual . I’ve shifted my whole life. I’ve had 7 911s and 5 of them have been manuals. I would NEVER go back to a manual so that I can watch my friends go by me. No race car has a manual. “ I want to be more involved “ then study your entry points of corners. Work on your braking points. Shifting doesn’t do any good. PLUS modern manual transmissions have auto rev matching and other things that make them almost an automatic anyway
0-80 u want the c8. From a 30+ roll you want the zl1. Looks, c8 wins. Interior c8 wins. Pure fun to drive, zl1. Resale zl1. For $75k each... I’m going c8

zl1s are in incredible value and imo more car than a c8.

Just bought the 2024 6 speed manual zl1 coupe. Best thing I’ve ever bought 😎
The manual is the most fun and will hold resale value c8 will be the car no one wants its a stingray

I prefer the old-school rock in the ZL1, as 6MT, just so much fun to drive. The C8 is more digital and (in my eyes) less fun to drive....
If I want to spend 70k on a Camaro, I'll build an SS that will kill both a C8 and Zl1.

I have a ss and c8 . C8 has oversteer and doesn't handle as well.

As a general motors man, my in house choice is team camaro. And im choosing the zl1 over the z06 and the blackwing v.
