If I remember correctly it was Henderson who almost finished Bisping twice in that last fight. Henderson barely had a scratch on him while Bisping was a bloody mess, and not just Diaz style from scar tissue.

Everytime I hear Mike Goldberg say 'Michael Bisping is the new middleweight champion of the world', it puts a smile on my face and my heart fills with a rush of different emotions. Before winning the belt his career had been a rollercoaster. Think for a moment, he won against Rockhold, Silva and Henderson with basically one eye. Let that sink in for a moment.....
GSP was and still is a role model. Most humble attitude. He fought in 2 different generations and was a pioneer. Fighters today all looked up to him and emulated his style. Many UFC records even when he retired the first time. No wrestling background yet had the best takedown defense. He avenged both loses in dominating fashion. Clean and advocated for drug testing. Still gets his name mentioned or called out and is compared with other fighters today which speaks for itself that he is the benchmark. Many UFC WW title defenses. Most of his fights were in the UFC not other mid tier organizations with 2 round fights. He fought and beat other legends and hall of famers. Retired and came back after 4 years in not a tune up fight but instead goes up a weight class. He is a UFC two division championship. Hall of famer. Fought Captain America lol. THE GOAT OF GOATS.

I wouldn't write Rose off that easily. She's tough as nails, has great submissions & has been doing a lot of training and sparring with Valentina Shevchenko (aka the woman that beat Joanna 3 times)
Training a few months with Valentina won't help her much. She needs more time. JJ is a different fighter now, just like Valentina. I doubt rose will be able to get JJ in a grappling match, much less get her back. Stand up, no chance in hell. I don't see any holes that she can exploit from JJ, JJ has fought stronger more technical women.
We'll see, I feel like Namajunas has the potential to become champion, whether or not she's already there is another question. If she's in a great place mentally and can put all her skills together I feel like she can take Joanna in the later rounds.
Jacques Nomdefamille I think she has the potential to be champion. But I don't think she's at that level yet. Joanna is just another beast, she's the DJ of that division. But it's a great experience for Rose anyways, and will be a very valuable fight for her.

I'm a big fan of GSP and I used to hate Bisping but no more. Bisping is a role model. Sure he runs his mouth a lot but this is one underdog who rose to top to become top dog through dedication and risk taking, taking what many viewed as insurmountable challenges. I started hating Bisping but end up respecting him. You could batter his body, knock him out (damaging an eye in the process) but you couldn't break his will. Michael " Iron Will" Bisping.
