Pov: you are walking through the remains of the city. Everyone had killed each other off months ago and animals have taken most remains. As you wall through the empty city overrun with plants and scurrying wildlife, you can't help but find the beauty in it. Nature taking back what should have never been taken away. Poetic in a sense. You grab a bit of food and a lighter from a nearby store and put it in your pack before leaving. As you exit you realize the sun will set soon, so you find a mostly intact building and start climbing the stairs to the higher levels. Once you get two levels away front the top you stop and sit. This place has been stripped bare, not even the window panes or carpet remain, just the bare concrete. You set up a tiny fire and grab a can of food out of your pack along with some water and utensils. You eat and collect the empty containers for future use. You grab your sleeping bag from off the top of your pack and set it down. As you lay inside next to the fire you can faintly hear the sound of kids screaming and playing, the smell of hose water and food fresh off the grill, adults chatting and the tv going as music faintly bumps in the background. For a second, you feel like you're back home, but when you open your eyes it all goes away, it is still just you in this broken building hiding from the rain. And as you dose off looking into the fire, you accept that it was all just a burning memory.
This doesn't really feel sad. It's kinda like visiting an old yet beautiful museum. And you recognize things from the past, kinda like in a nostalgic way.
Everyone is gone wildlife has taken over the desolate citys. It’s been days since you’ve seen anything living, radiation contaminates the land like a plague. The silence grows louder…
pov: the whole multiverse went to war and your the last being alive only you not even god is alive everything is gone every concept is gone only you in a void forever
your walking through the remains of a previously populated world. Everyone has died due to radiation, pollution, etc. your the only one left. in this cruel world. You decide to get some supplies from a nearby store, collecting enough food and supplies for a couple of days. You decide to put a camp at a nearby abandoned house, as you slowly close your eyes, you hear the sound of distant chattering, children laughing, tv sounds, etc. is heard outside. you quickly wake up, thinking it was just a bad dream, but no. It was just your imagination, you can’t help but shed a tear at the rememberance of your loved ones, friends, family, etc. you again slowly drift off into sleep, waiting to suffer alone for another day. based on another comment

i also tried to do this a few months ago, and it is actually in the same key as you did it, just by coincidence.
