May be a bit late, but there is a keyhole for the trunk at the back where the license plate lites are located. Just to the left of the Push button. It's really not obvious, but I've seen a bunch of nightmare videos of what people have to go through in order to get access to the trunk.
I actually love the ABC system. If maintained correctly it’s far superior and handles way better at the high speeds I like to travel then coil overs. And just like any other hydraulic system the seals are only gonna last about 10 years. This car was all original at 16 years so I can’t complain. Thanks for watching
@@ProjectShopFl actually being far superior is incorrect. It's more plush , but at high speeds absolutely no difference ( I've retrofitted sway bars ) without sway bars you would feel some preload, but I have a complete write up plus review of the conversion on a s55 forum . There are pros and cons to both . But if wanting a more sportier feel, coilovers win, but you sacrifice low speed comfort
@@smotpoker15 I thought if you remove the ABC system you have to put sway bars, are you saying you’ve done it without sway bars? If I want to more sportier feel I just hit the ABC sport button. I definitely feel a difference at 150 between Sport mode and comfort mode. In my opinion the ability to raise and lower the car and changed the suspension performance at will is a far superior set up then just regular old coil overs. But that’s just my opinion.
@@ProjectShopFl No sway bars needed for swap, its just an added handling feature . And to be very honest i drove it for a while without sway bars waiting for parts from Germany to arrive. It's not bad at all, honestly I was expecting worse (my old drag mustang had frame rail connectors , but no sway bars and it was way more scary then an s55 with no sway bars. The car feels always in sport mode now , which is how I personally liked it. You lose low speed comfort for sure ,but in comparison, my 2019 wrx with stock suspension, is far more rough and bouncy then the s55. Believe it or not ceika coilovers, have an option to add air assisted for raising and lowering the car as if it was oem . How I summed it up in my review was, if you are a true enthusiast, who really enjoys the floating but stable ride, then abc is for you. But if you like to feel the car beneath you, and fully planted , which you don't get with abc, then a coilover conversion would not disappoint. As far as ride quality , low speed bumps are felt more, but larger bumps, low or high speed, are handled as good if not better than abc.
@@smotpoker15 I would never do that conversion but if I did I would definitely put sway bars in. That just doesn’t seem safe to me. You didn’t notice excessive body roll without them?
Where did you buy your tandem pump? You seem satisfied with the performance of the pump. I'm going to have to buy one at some point for my car. As I'm sure you know the tandem pumps are all remanufactured these days. Ebay has many suppliers listed for these pumps but many are from China. I'm not against buying from anyone but I do want to buy from someone who has a track record with the supply of these pumps. I do have a few names but I'd like to know where you got yours. I'll look for your other channel dedicated to the car.
I will have to check but I know I got it off eBay and it came from California. The first one had sand in the bag the seller apologized and sent a new one before I sent the one back. th-cam.com/channels/p8V1Zjea4KnosN-AplAe7Q.html
you can manually open the trunk with the manual key (inside the electronic key), you know, right?? It works the same way as the manual lock on the door does.
Quick question....I have 03 s55 amg and I had a/c replaced and I forgot to put the ground wire on the banjo bracket that holds the abc pump in place...it’s a tight fit so my question to you what is that for and should put that back on now ?or it’s something I can do later?
What the fuck you talking about it ain’t my car? I paid $10,000 cash for this car years ago. I’ve made tons of videos with it, and I even have a whole Nother channel dedicated to it.

I know where the key hole is but non of the 4 keys I have work. lol
Great videos I really appreciate it
Thanks for watching!
Just did a ceika coilover conversion on my 04 s55k. Best choice imo against this troublesome expensive silly system

@@ProjectShopFl Thanks for the quick reply. Whatever you can find would be appreciated.

I know but for what ever reason all 4 keys I got with the car will not open the trunk.
I hope the charger pulley was slightly smaller because if it's a 180 74, it may shatter!
The car is stock.
Mine the key stored in fob opens trunk lid
I have 3 keys and not one opens the trunk lock.

I’ll be honest I don’t know what it’s for but I always put everything back the was it was. lol
Wh not just do the conversion never have the issue again
I like the ABC
this aint your car, bro you bought it for what? $2000 now you're working on it , c'mon
