Srini, This is a great idea. I built a similar jig modeled after yours and it worked fine. Set the fence position once and make repeated cuts of exactly the same thickness. Much easier than resetting the fence every time like so many other jigs. I found no reason to add the sandpaper strips. Wonderful. Thanks!
I love it ! I will make one of my own. I like the safety in this jig. Perhaps it is not the fastest way, but it dont matter. Safety is so very very importent. Thank you for sharing this video with me. Yours cinserly Jesper Nørgaard Weng Roskilde Denmark
amazing amazing amazing.Good jigs which are as functional as many jigs made by American woodworkers. It is super useful.By itself it can be used as a push block.I will surely make it.One safety thing is to add a receiving table for the table saw .Please continue in your wood working journey. Please show us some of the locally available woodworking tools from India like ,Planner, measuring tools, other hand made tools used in wood working. best wishes
Thank you. Making it higher will reduce the rip capacity. I placed the wing nuts / t-track bolt slot half an inch above the bottom and I can rip up to 2 ¼ inch thin strips. If i place it higher it will reduce the ripping capacity.
Right, I see your point. What about making the holes on the holding board into adjustable slots tho? That way the wing nuts will only need to be down (and bothersome) when you need the max capacity. Or did I miss something?@@shapewithsrini

Thank you. I appreciate your kind comments.
Nice idea! Why aren't those nuts for the t track higher up to avoid the blade though?
