I went to marquee mall with my handsome boyfriend to check my vision in Dr. J Specs. Finally I got my glasses and I found out that my eyes is a challenge from my age.

As a retired optician I was surprised at the results of the free eye screening you did. I heard you say 1.75 which was written on the printout they gave you. An eye screening is okay in determining very quickly if a patient needs glasses or not. But then an actual eye exam will provide a more accurate prescription. That exam provided you with your actual prescription of -2.25 - 0.50 60 / -2.00 - 0.50 60. What the numbers mean is that your quite nearsighted, meaning you aren't able to see things at a distance very well at all. And the -0.50 in both eyes means you have astigmatisms also. The 60's is your axis and only tells the lab how your lens need to be placed in the frame of your glasses. I'm shocked that you haven't gotten glasses much sooner than now. Your prescription is well past the point when most people begin wearing their glasses all the time. That point is generally around -1.50. So now that you have glasses you should have them on all the time except when sleeping and showering. The glasses you chose all looked really cute on you. The optician was very good and very helpful to you in explaining the various options you could have in your glasses. I look forward to seeing you wearing glasses in future videos.

@@AdventuresOfAnne Your very welcome. Now that you have glasses you really do need to be wearing them all the time. One thing I should have mentioned is that once your eyesight is no longer perfect, it will never be perfect again without glasses or contacts. It's not like having a cold that will go away after a week or so. Your going to be needing glasses for the rest of your life. So you need to accept that the only way your ever going to be able to see perfect will be with you wearing glasses. Just be glad that you look so good wearing glasses.
