As a white guy I've had countless moments where there was an expectation put on me to be some kind of babysitter or mentor...from people older than me even. Not from people that are any less capable or intelligent than me, but people that have been brainwashed to believe that I possess some kind of knowledge in my DNA that is beyond their realm of understanding or that I'm automatically provided access to information they are not because of my skin tone. I've also seen countless arrogant white people wax philosophical in the dumbest possible ways think the same thing about themselves. Don't believe the hype, people. Misinformation is the enemy, not a color.

It also bleeds past race and into social hierarchy. It's a funky world and your positivity and honestly the fact you've been behind bars and have a bad ass car, writing books, and all other ventures kinda like your preworkout. You inspire me. Thank you for all you do

It's true I'm Hispanic and I've definitely noticed it at my job. My manager would always acknowledge the white guy before me when it came to asking for something regarding our work. Yet I've been there for 5 years and I know my job very well I have the experience and know how to do everything at that place. Keep in mind most of my coworkers are Hispanic as well as me and this white guy has only been there for a couple of months. It's a shame that society is like that.

Nah, you are just indoctrinated about institutionalized racism that the left are yammering about these days. You believe this lie so much that you think it's real and you find racism everywhere. Your manager perhaps knew this person personally and therefore had a "better" relationship and talked to him more or whatever. It's not about race. If it was, that would be illegal and he would be fired.

I wonder the demographics of your fan base. I’m an average white guy who had a bad drug problem but have been clean for 6 years. The first place I went was a shelter/rehab in one of the roughest parts of Baltimore and I was surprised how welcomed I was. I don’t dress thugged out, or anything so these guys knew I wasn’t from their neighborhoods but befriended me immediately and I had absolutely nothing to offer, in fact they were giving me cigs so it wasn’t nothing like that

Man that whole thing about people not believing you hit home!
I had an African friend of mine who I would talk to about Positive mindsets, women, self-improvement etc...He was always scrutinizing what I said. He started gymming with this white trainer at our gym who told him EVERYTHING I HAD BEEN SAYING FOR MONTHS!!!! He immediately believed him and told me this “white guy is very smart” etc..but as he talked he realized everything he said was what I said and started smiling.

Truth! I went to a trade high school and this would be pretty common especially when I would be talking with white people like the substitute teachers, other students, etc. I'm no super fresh guy I'm middle ground between your cool and your nerdier black guy with a biased toward seeming cool and chill. Sometimes I would tell someone something and 5 seconds later when they think I'm not looking there they are asking a white person. Oh course they hear the same information and I tell them I just told them that. These people are too much! That's why in business as a black guy I don't recommend showing your face initially unless it's really important to the brand and message and late when you're established a bit you reveal as you feel fit. This way you don't lose dollars due to this bias. Real talk!

Facts bro. Seen it too many times to count. And women of all races get it too and in some cases worse.
My girl grew up in a family of mechanics and car lovers. She got a job in the auto parts industry and was mad ahead of everybody around her. But even as a location manager (Very high, very well paid position. Only ones above her was the District Manager and Regional Manager then corporate) she'd catch hell all the time. A shop would call in and need info on a part or whatever and she'd answer em and they'd go off wantin to "speak with a man!". So she'd hand off the phone to one of her employees and they'd be asking her for the damn answers cause ya genitals don't mean ya know shit about a car. It was crazy the shit she'd come home and tell me. Bigotry runs deep. She said there were gay dudes she worked with that got it the same way.
Knowledge knows no race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sex, sexual orientation, class, nationality or any of the other bs that humans use to divide ourselves up. I've learned a lot of the homeless crackheads, heroin addicts, winos and luckless in the places I've lived. Everybody has something to offer. They may say 99% bs but that 1% could change ya life. It's about knowin how to separate the bs from the gems. Never sleep on anything with a brain. It almost definitely knows somethin you don't!

I feel you, Uncle Herc. One of my uncles and me and my dad how we get flat stomachs. I told him to just skip breakfast and eat around 2 o clock. AKA Inermittent Fasting. Of course he didn’t want to hear that because he loves eating. So much that he eats all day. He said “No way! If you don’t eat, you’ll die”. Then I told him that I do it everyday and I’m still alive. He didn’t have an answer. He then listens to my dad that had something stupid to say. My dad said, “Yeah, just wrap around a plastic around your middle and go on a jog or hike. My uncle didn’t even question it and told him it sounded like a good idea. These people man.

Yeah Big Herc You're really on to something. A few months back I was working in a small business company owned by in a white guy. All I did was package tea and help around. When I suggest something he just totally ignores it; like how I don't know nothing about the business. Few minutes later he comes back suggest what I just said it but in a different manner and tried to claim the idea. I'm not sure what it is but it seems like it's a superior complex identity also the guy's like 40 and I'm a young Latino with long hair. I would suggest other ideas but there will be no point because it would just go through his head and it like they don't like taking orders from someone with a different complexion. In the long run I could have saved this guy money but people with high ego limit his ability.

I guess these types of behaviors are learned subconsciously and consciously as we grow within our society. I realized I needed a serious reality check on myself when I went to orientation for a job during my early 20's. The speaker came in a few minutes late. All the new employees were black (including myself) except for one person (white) who was sitting in the front. I assumed the white person was the speaker/manager and I was wondering why that person was not getting up to start the orientation. When the real speaker entered I realized how distorted my thinking was.

@@safeeffective385 I'm gonna give one example off the top of my head.
In this scenario, put yourself in the "you" perspective.
You've applied for section 8 housing. You've been on waiting list for a year now. In order to qualify, your income must be 70% or less of the federal poverty line and you cannot have more than $500 in savings (both requirements are hypothetical). So you've been awarded. Lets assume you've got $1500 of payday loans due soon. A week later you get a job, but you'll be working under-the-table and you realize you'll be making just enough to disqualify you from housing if you report the income from the new job, but the new income still keeps you below the poverty line. You know that there's no way the housing office will find out unless you tell them. What will you do when they ask you if your income as changed since the last time you applied for housing?

It works in the reverse fashion too. When you are watching these old boxing videos of Marciano, the Black guys are always dissing him because he was white. I guess there is a psychological thing going on because Blacks were oppressed for so many years that they celebrate those occasions when they have the upper hand on the white man. Most of the times this upper hand is in sports. So, in those cases where the white guy shows dominance over the black guy in a sport like Boxing they take it as a personal attack against themselves and their race. An alternate example is whenever you criticize Obama you are automatically a racist. When I was was growing up and going to school there was an expression: "You fight one, you fight them all!" If you have a physical altercation with a fellow student who is black and you come out the victor, the rest of the black posse comes after you. Even if the Black student was the one that initiated the altercation and you were minding your own business, doing your own thing and not bothering anyone.

Great message herc. Quick question for you that maybe you can answer in an upcoming video. I currently play D1 football and Im starting to look at things with a different light in terms of the culture of sports itself. It almost discusts me at this point that people just look at me as a football player and not as someone who goes to college with aspirations to be a doctor? Also do you think college athletes should be paid? If so, how can athletes establish a system of payment?
    -Thank you

Interesting. This also made me think, all my black friends are really smart, and when pressed in a good conversation or debate, they usually best me.

I like to think I don't do this (I'm white). But do I do this? I'd be very disappointed in myself if I judged the veracity of a claim based solely on the melanin content of the source.

There's good people in every shape color and sizes and there's also really terrible people of every color and shapes and sizes. The rulers of this country and the world want the citizens to hate each wether for the color of our skin or your wealth cause if we are fighting each other we won't realize the evil shit they've been doing to us for a very long time

Human beings will always judge, especially from appearance. You got the Fallacy look Big Herc. I have that look as well but mine has the opposite effect. I look small, nerdy and innocent. Women like the bad boys, so they tend to not look twice at me. But when they find out how I truly am, they can't believe it and most of the time I fuck them on the first date. If not, when I do, I go fully down the sexual rabbithole with them. lolll. Also dudes think I'm small and can't fight, so I catch them off guard and split their wigs because they underestimated me. We got the fallacy code! I definitely make it work for my benefit.

I'm always getting racist comments from people. It's annoying. Because they will say the racist crap. Then call me im the racist lol. And the ones who hang onto past events that don't involve them or myself really bug me. Know your history. But don't assume I'm the perp. I have honor and dignity. Without those you tend to be weak. And it will show quickly on a keyboard. Keep it up Big Herc. You're a man I can respect in a world where few deserve any. Stay positive

its totally true pre determined analysis of people. as a white guy in his 30's it annoys me people assume shit about me as well. You'd think it'd be small but it's like oh because Im white Im going to be a push over for this. Or I'm going to put up with bullshit. Im going to have the answer when I just want to be left alone. It happens. And yeah, people are ignorant. That's just life to me though, it bothers me but there is no changing it. Just have to be confident in yourself. You want to turn heads and flip the script on them cool. But for me a lot of the times I just walk on silently I don't want to become a teacher for every ignorant run in I get. Hope that makes sense
