I did something similar to this except I used the other desert with small patches of arcane because cactus doesn’t make food so they’d starve so the center was far more important. You could also use arcane and just not plant any seeds. Anyway I liked this better because like a majority of the starting kingdoms (I started with like 10) died because they didn’t get to the center or research farming
@James Konet They can only do so with farming technology or else they will starve. In my own experiment I said some kingdoms died and some lived since they researched farming in time
Having an oasis map but with mountains could be a cool idea. A enchanted biome could be surrounded on all sides by mountains and only accessible thru narrow passages.
I always enjoy these videos. Every world I create with a desert always has an oasis. It adds a cool dynamic. I like to mix some standard desert into my arcane to make things extra difficult.
I think it would be very interesting to do a xxl map with 3 distinct naturalistic islands each having 2-3 biomes and water sources throughout, maybe one bad biom each then 2 good biomes, placing dwarves, elves and humans on their own large islands away from each other on different corners of the map, blocking off the each island with a ring of mountains on the edge of said islands, turning rebellions on and letting it go for a couple hundred so years, letting the kingdoms within the islands create themselves and build separate armies and villages all within their own little worlds, then after all those years erase the mountains, and turn weather on and letting them all go into an all out cross continental war, each island by then would have probably 3 or so distinct kingdoms if they haven’t all been taken over by one kingdom, and you could watch them sail the huge seas to reach each other. Maybe even give each kingdom on each island a trait from a wheel, for example, island #1 in the far left hand corner starts with 4 kingdoms, 2 kingdoms has 5 elves each, and the other 2 on the island have 5 humans each. So each distinct kingdom 1-4 on this island each get a spin at the start for traits, so 4 kingdoms with varying traits on 1 of 3 large continent like island, then island #2 gets the same treatment but with 4 kingdoms consisting of maybe 1 elf, 2 dwarve and 1 human kingdoms, each with the average 5 starters per kingdom. So In total 3 large islands, 12 kingdoms (4 per island), 60 characters (5 per kingdoms) I think it would be interesting to see how each island has wars, only to be apart of a larger war at the end unknowingly to them.
Man that intro was perfect! I cast my phone through my TV and it was taking forever to load! Then I hear "what took you so long I was about to start without you"
Usually am a more silent watcher of these videos, but kinda got an idea after hearing your thoughts on 4:16 and afterwards: What if you create a single island, away from other civilizations and with few obstacles in the way to reach it, while behind these rising civilizations, that are otherwise mostly isolated from eachother (perhaps even separated by water themselves?) corrupted biomes begin to infest the surrounding lands. Goal for the kingdoms is to pretty much colonize the island, free from the infestation. Having some obstacles inbetween them and requiring cultures to research boats should make this one interesting enough. However, reaching the island doesn't hand out the win automatically, as the kingdoms have to fight for it. Last man standing wins, until everything is covered by corrupted biome except for the outlasting island colony. Could probably work as either a Race competition, where the orcs get a slight disadvantage at the start (since it's likely that they get swept away by corruption as much as the other races once people begin to die on their side) or as a sole race with different kingdoms type of run. But yeah, just something I semi-brainstormed while watching this video. ^^
I also have a random video idea. Maybe you can spawn 15 different dwarf kingdoms and give them all a trait that's closest to their kingdom slogan or whatever it's called. :)
Idea: You make a random map, but the 75% of it is full of low hills and high mountains. Then every 25 years, you put them there and cause disasters like volcano, and the ones that ran back to their kingdom survives.
Great video! I like the videos where you give each race a trait, like giving dwarves giant/titan, orcs slow, etc or going more fantasy and giving them traits like miner for dwarves, immortal for elves, etc
Should do a similar concept but have a small land mass in the circle of water, and THAT has the only good resources, so they'll have to get boats and get to it.
So I have an idea to include every race equally, so have videos specialized for each race, such as mountains for dwarves, jungle for elves themed videos where there’s one single race
Try a event where you have 2 races on separate islands that are large taking up a half each, the huge split of deep water in between and a blessed island alone in the center only able to be reached by boats World rules: rebellious and a few of them with OP traits
i feel like something this game needs are fortresses and the ability to build great walls in your territory that block enemies but not you and need to be broken, in order to have actual defenses and whatnot so wars arent just "who can murder the other teams villagers faster"
had the idea you made an island that is a straight line, and you put one people at either end, and one in the middle, and it becomes a tug of war for land.
I don't know anything about this game. But I find your videos interesting. I was wondering if there was a land type that spreads like the corruption. Do an oasis but the good land starts spreading out from the center.
next you got to do a race with currupted on the outside and blessed on the inside and every kingdom starts near the edge and must expand away from the currupted
The map makes me want to buy a glazed donut. Expect the green. Also I say the Dwarves should win. ( No matter what) But otherwise great vid...really like it.
You should make a wheel video wher a random civilisation can get a random disaster, trait, item or even biome The the items and traits can both be good and as a positive for disatwrs you could make an option that gived them more population or trees or something like that!
Vídeo idea: make two humans kingdoms and when they are too much envolved make then in war, and in one kingdom u make a fortress and too the second kingdom invade the first kingdom they need too invade rhe fortress first
I think the magical thing about arcane sands is that it can support palm trees when it’s a continent spanning desert.
hence, arcane

Great comment bro.
Wow man couldn't have said it better myself!
Absolutely radiant

Hey gorg I found your channel like 3 nights ago and I’m addicted to worldbox now. Love the content G keep it up. Just subbed.
Fun Fact, Great Er was the only kingdom name you didn't change from the start. They had pre name advantage.
Always looking forward to what you’ve come up with this time, you never disappoint
That was an amazing intro. I did feel like I had been taking a while to get to this video out of the videos in my recommended.
3:03 missed opportunity to call it "Lighting Emporium" lol

Props to Great Er's immortal king Ymuwy. 100% loyalty from all villages is something I've really never seen in this game.
