Josh has a lot of great songs but I truly think this is Josh's best. Awesome lyrics, amazing piano introduction, beautiful composition, and incredibly soulful. He really loves performing this song. You can see it's special for him (and for us).

At present in singer songwriter music there's Josh and then there's the restThe band and his vision seem to be converging quite spectacularly, and have been for a few years now, he's moved his work onto another level and it's wonderful to see and hear.

Agreed! I am continually trying to find more artists to flesh out my Josh Ritter playlist, but 8 years since first seeing him live that playlist still only has one artist in it. I just can't find anyone else who does what he does with words.

Josh has always been a tad bit awkward on stage, but he really is a legend. Seen him live about 8 times going back 17 years...hope he keeps making music for years to come.

It's different to see Josh not playing the guitar and not wearing a suit jacket. Departure from his previous stuff, for sure, but I love it!
