A common haraam present in a lot of video games - including some football games - is gambling. You buy some kind of pack or a box for an amount of money and when you open it you either get something very valuable or a garbage item. Avoid it at all cost
We as adults now know how even racing games and fighting games affected our personality. So any game, (1) Kids are bound to get addicted (2) Games affect their personality in a bad way
Video games destroy your attention span and your ability to focus. They overstimulate your brain with fast moving vibrant colors and satisfying sound effects. Game development studios hire psychologists to try and make their games as addictive as possible. Video games also destroy your drive and aspirations in real life since they grant you attainable rewards through challenges in the game. We are supposed to use that drive to face real-life challenges to get real-life rewards. By playing video games we waste that limited drive we have on virtual nonsense. Stay away from video games my brothers. May Allah forgive us and have mercy on us.

Sheikh , in regards to Minecraft please review the game because it has an item called the totem of undying , in which if you use it you don't die . Now my question after you saw my comment , are games that have shirk but are optional like in Minecraft with the totem of undying are haram to play (I choose to stay away from these games in the first place but because my friends ask me about the rulling and I tell them I don't know )
Ya akhi, u need to talk about getting addicted from the games, which is a big problem. Also, the kids getting distracted from their studies bcoz of addiction with the games. There are so many incidents of shooting in schools and public places as a result of playing those shooting video games. Also driving crazy after playing racing games.
Assalam alaikum. There have also been studies showing that competitive video games show the same type of aggression that men have when playing sports so then do sports become haram? Video game addiction does affect children a lot so that is a problem. But video games making kids more violent is not true. As long as they are not addicted to it, it will not harm them.
@shafaykamran5803 Kids do get addicted to games. Competitive games are not violent. But games having violence and fight, do make them violent. Being aggressive is different from being violent. When we play racing games, we tend to ride the bike fast.
FIFA a football videogame, now a days have woman in it does this make it haram? If not it has pictures on the cards but you can swipe to the right to see the stats of the cards, but you have to do this continually. Also games have 3D characters in the gameplay itself for example human beings (sometimes woman) playing football or shooting in other games. May Allah reward you abundantly for your answer
Assalam ahki I am playing a game that have cards evry card have a special skill of abilty خاصية and evry card have a picture that represent that skill some of these cards i find wierd one of them have how christians draw jesus and another one is about luck and black cat and another one have how non muslims imagine angel of death ( grim reaper ) these are the 3 cards . My question akhi can i play the vedio game with avoiding and removing such cards if i can because the game dosn’t force me to use them they are just there ? ❤
