I was born a month before it was two years since the centre first opened, I remember when the centre looked like this but never got to go to Dazzeland, was only almost 5 when that closed along with John Martin's, and I've been waiting to see a video of the original David Jones as I only got to go there a couple of times
Thank you so much for that footage! The only part of Dazzeland I went to was of course, the LEGO Expo! I managed to access the area in 2019 and the 'rocket mural' where Shoot The Stars stood was still there! How cool is that?

The thing that really hit a nerve was the chiming of the elevators. That sound for me was so iconic of visiting the big city...

It certainly did, one tried not to be that noticed when filming because people would stare. The video camera was heavy too and cumbersome.
