A friend is leaving his career today because the organization sided with the oppressor instead of the oppressed. If your career doesn't allow you the dignity you deserve, then you must leave. I'm sharing this video with that person. Thank you Dr. Raja 💞

Thank you so much for sharing this. I left a very high paying, high rank position last year because it was so toxic. Drastic things had to happen for me to see that my so-called friends were actually my enemies, people whom I sincerely trusted. Listening to your words today balms that small, lingering part of me which feels like I lost and should have fought harder. What you say is true too about what awaits after, and I comment here in hopes that perhaps, others might read this and be encouraged to take better care of themselves. My work now is much more meaningful and my schedule so flexible I am able to spend as much time as I like with my family. I am now free of the toxic environment and constrant stress my previous work has given me. I've been a fan of your channel for a long time, and I am grateful that you shared this.

Thank you for sharing your personal story. There were several themes that surfaced during your talk. Discovering how career choice shapes your identity and how important true friends are as we journey through life. I am sorry your place of work in academia treated you in a way that caused stress and anguish. Maybe some day you will share what happened… i am glad you planned for your departure and are now free to make your own decisions. May life contiue to be good to you. 🌞

Funny, I have a military career too, both in uniform as an officer and as a civilian for a total over 34 years. I am getting ready to leave it because I want to stop thinking about those things like, how do we not lose the next war, which causes me a great deal of frustration and anxiety. I will leave it behind after all that time next April. I hope to focus on other things, and hope to use my academic background to create some course material that I might teach as an adjunct, because I don't want to be wrapped up in another institution. And yes, I hope to teach elsewhere and research/write, possibly outside the world of academia. There will be opportunities and it is nice to hear you reinforce that thought. I just want to engage with humanities/arts and show people what I can uniquely offer to help them find ways to enrich their lives and become better thinkers, however it might be possible for me to do so... In a way, some of the events that I experienced in the military were painful failures (especially the failure on 9-11) that cause me depression, I was but was overall positively shaped by a lot of it. I am ok with being a nobody to military people, and look forward to this change. Thank you!!!!

It’s truly admirable to see intellectuals like you making such a positive impact in Pakistani academia. Your courage in embracing platforms like TH-cam is incredibly inspiring. Unfortunately, many senior academics in Pakistan, even the highly educated ones, often hesitate to learn new digital skills, which has left our academic landscape somewhat outdated and lacking in innovation. This gap has created room for pseudo-scholars to dominate the discourse. Keep up the good work!

Wise words Dr. Massod. Thank you for sharing. It can be daunting, contemplating a change of employment, however I've done it a few times in my life and have always felt better after each moove. It can paralize and excite you at the same time. Hardest step is the first one. I always feel that things happen for a reason and all that's needed, is a little bravery and motivation, both cost nothing, so it's worth the risk. Many thanks ❤😊

Dr sahib i am really grateful to you for inspiration i got from you. I have been working with a extremely corrupt government department which was hurting me more and more day by day. After 22 years i decided to leave that department in a disparate attempt to save me from virtual death otherwise i was dying emotionally each day. I am forty two and had secured admission in doctorate degree program in English. Traumatic experience of twenty two years of service still kept me haunting after two years of leaving that department. Now I am struggling to make a study habit and i lack confidence. Would i be able to reassert my will?
Some practical measures, if possible, may kindly be bestowed
