If you are more than 6mo in Romania, and you are the major owner of your business, doesn’t that make the main source of income to be Romania hence be liable in your business worldwide income to Romania? Curious to know what your accountants said about this as I’m researching a similar setup but this is not 100% clear to me 🤔
Comparing Dubai with Romania is like Comparing Sport cars with Fruits or sneakers with potato next do a comparison of New York with Belgrade xDD if you are searching cheapest places to live in there is plenty of other countries with better human values, the scam mentality in Romania is just unbearable .
I don’t think in Romania you have the same quality of life then Dubai (talking about leisure, gym, concierge, swimming pool, beaches, weather, services). Also, you have your own business so does not really matter where you live, you basically can live wherever you want. But if you think about employee or self employer like me… I can’t imagine finding any good job opportunities or personal or professional growth in Romania (at that point I will be back in Italy 😂 my country) but thanks for the comparison, nice video, just sharing my ideas.
For sure you don't have the same as in Dubai. But you can't really compare Dubai to anything because it's so geared for tourism that it's really in a category for itself. I get Romania probably wouldn't work for employees, but i can't factor in every single scenario. But if you're self-employed, what do you do that requires you to work in-office? Curious why Romania then, in theory, wouldn't work for you?
I have never been in Romania, so I can’t judge but my ideal lifestyle would be living by the beach, with 12 months of summer, blu sky everyday, positive vibes all around me 😂. I think Romania has the same vibes as Italy.. and I am telling you this because I live in London and here is full of Romanian people that escape their own country (like me). Maybe is because I’ve lived in London for the last 5 years and I am just exhausted about the weather, the people, the mood (after brexit), the overpriced life without the same benefit as Dubai and taxes. I am a pilates trainer btw so… that is my point of view, but I am glad you find the place that at the moment makes you feel safe and satisfied, as I say with your job you are really free to choose where to go and when.
I’m moving to Dubai at the end of the month, working in the Dubai world trade centre. Any recommendations on where I should live that’s relatively close to my work?(budget around $1.5-$2k a month for rent as a single guy looking for a 1 bed/ studio)
Awesome Rasmus.Keep going man
Thank you 🙌
You should have talked about the taxes in Romania as well, that's on the same level of importance as your expenses, especially if you own a business.
I don't have a business in Romania and am a UAE tax resident - so it doesn't apply to me
