I think if you ran the same gun with a stompee build you would do just as fine. this gun is very good in the hands of someone who doesnt miss, but the damage buff is only slightly helping

I’ve gone against a couple of teams who stacked their Rat kings and it’s super toxic, lol. It’s super fun to use, I’ll admit that, but I just haven’t grinded for the chest armor yet, so I haven’t unlocked true power :P
Benny you gotta try this with an explosive personality that has auto loading and disruption break. you hit them with the wave frame gl and then rat king can clean up with 1 headshot or 2 bodies because of disruption break
Lol I been maining the ratking forever now everyone wants to use it. Just waiting for the gyrfalcons nerf then I'll get it back to myself again. I'd start the nerf with lowering the dmg to 10% add on a no recharge rate for your class ability until the dmg buff expires and have the dmg buff only work on 1 burn type that isn't void. Easy fix
To be fair rat kings always been this strong 15% damage buff just adds range Gyrfalcon hardly makes it unbalanced I still prefer it with stasis and bakris
benny use the setup but for your secondary use a weapon that has harmony, dude im telling you its insane. i used rat king, gyrfalcon, with a forgiveness adept with max range and harmony.
I like how Hunters trying to argue it's not OP, when a couple months ago when Titans had lorley it was nerfed almost instantly. Lets see how long Bungie takes to rework this, especially since it's on there most beloved class.
Well in this case it’s pretty ridiculous because the exotic synergies absurdly well with rat king so he can basically have 100% uptime on the invisibility but if he wasn’t using rat king he wouldn’t be able to take advantage of the dmg buff as much. Compared to Loraley which the exotic armor itself was providing you with what you needed to abuse the dmg buff. Loraley also had 100% uptime on the dmg buff… literally while if you are not using rat king with gryfalcon it’s not as often but still pretty often. And it’s like what a 3-4 second timer that isn’t refreshable until 14-18 seconds or whatever your dodge cooldown is when loraley’s was infinite by just standing in the sunspot(until it went away but you had another before it went away so still infinite) and you had 5 seconds when you left it and you’re behind a barricade that was healing you. I’m not denying that it is powerful but Loraley was a whole different problem.
Also Loraley was instantly reworked because it dropped even more insane than it was after it was reworked and then it took them a whole season to rework it again and it was still cracked😂. And lastly it’s funny you say hunter is their beloved class when void hunter is literally nothing without invisibility. Void hunter only has invisibility going for it.

Plus you got them so fast if you set up in a bad spot of just had to wait a couple of sec and you had another ready. 2) barricade base cooldown is around the same as dodge dude and in no way is smoke bombs faster then either barricade. Rally barricade is 13 secs at max resilience and marksman dodge is 14 secs at max mobility. Towing barricade is 20 secs at max while gamblers is 18 secs. On top of that the sunspot gave you increased ability regain when sun warrior or sol invictus was active so both are faster than dodge if you build resilience. Now if gryfalcons made you invisible whenever you got low on hp and still provided a dmg buff and healing on top of that I would agree so naw Loreley was much worse.
This is getting abused since the chestpiece came out, not a new thing... And if you run or jump while you‘re invisible you get seen on the radar easily, try this in osiris or control and they will just shoot you the first time you try to shoot someone.

Do u know watt crazy is and broken KEPRIH S STING with a wall hack that shit was all over the place in trails I did not even once hade other team using this chest i m the warlock main don’t have a Hunter but did login on my friends account just to test the STING with rat king it was not cool for the other fire team that I can tell u
I don't think you need gyrfalcon to slay a rumble lobby with Rat King if I'm honest. I think Rat King is benefitting more from the sidearm range buff than it is the chest piece. The catalyst is also amazing. Health regen+invis after a kill is more beneficial for rat king than gyrfalcon imo.
I JUST got that chest and the Rat King this week and I’ve been playing since D1 on day 1. I don’t feel bad using this build at all, it’s fun. Especially when people are maining Lorentz, Arbalest, Jotunn, and Witherhoard lol!
This comment is a perfect representation of the game. So many things are good now and for me and to a lot of people I’m talking to, builds like this is what breaks the game and ruins it, people have no pride in there loadouts. They just thrive off of the devious energy
I don’t get why Bungie thinks invis is ok in PvP. Especially when you can have it every 10 to 15 seconds. And now a damage buff too with this exotic chest piece. The only way I can see this being made ok is to lower resilience by 40 or 50 to make up for the advantage of no one being able to see you. Yep that’s a heavy hit. Count the invis hunters in crucible and say I’m going to far.
I played against this in comp yesterday... lost though not cuz of the build, I was dropping a 2+ but we lost last round cuz my teammate nova'd downwards and it hit the ceiling above him lmao.

Sidearms are absolutely getting a damage nerf, that's insane to hit bodies and die that fast even without the damage boost.
