You really should start looking at the Avengers, at least the six cylinder models. I can't speak for the four cylinder models but my 2013 R/T is still running great at 250,000 miles.

I have been there with the Dart. This is a twofold problem Randy, and you should run from it with screams and terror. The clutch on the floor is a clutch slave cylinder, which is located in the bell housing. Unfortunately, when it fails, it allows it the fluid to seep past the seals and corrupt the transmission. I had this very problem happened to my 2015 dart and it cost almost $2000 to repair it.
Those 1.4's aren't the best engines in these Dart's, sadly, most of them are in the junk yards, so I'm surprised I got to see one today. The 2.0/2.4's are a bit better, though they do burn oil. 2.0/2.4 Darts use Hyundai PowerTech 6 speed automatic. About the Accent, My mom had a second gen, 00-05, and it served us well. Hyundai Accents are fairy good cars. Here in the Philippines, we don't have the three-door hatch, but a five-door hatch with a CRDI diesel I4 (which is the top model here). The sedan is a conventional 4-door gas model.
Those hyandais have a really bad issue with the intake gasket brbreakimg. Had one come in that they tried 3 different shops to fix. If you buy it spray some starting fluid over the intake if it revs up that's all it is. A $6 gasket made it sit for 3 years

Those multi-air engines will drain all the oil out of the multi-air unit and until they get oil back up to them, they are hard to start, very hard to start.
The Hyundai could be a simple fix. I’m thinking it’s a bad coil, and they decided to use the money as a deposit on a new car instead of dumping more money into the old car.

Those Darts/200 can be pos depending on how it was treated. I’ve had both the Dart and 200.
I owned one of those they are notorious for bad coils that gives a check engine light I put at least 4 sets on mine in 11 years
