everytime I set my changeover to 1, I always got it banished (either by VW/Crow/Called). I would not use 1 changeover with this current platinum format.
If you're having trouble with that you can go to 2 changeover. I actually don't have that much problem with it, could be luck on matchups i guess? But oh well, having 2 will not kill your deck, it's just one less handtrap.
Usually, when things get bad and Sheou is not an option (like when u have to play against Sky Striker), I rely more on Link play. Twin Triangle Dragon, Masquerena and Avramax are all very good options and could ensure u a win in certain matchups.
To be honest, this deck build won't fare that well in the current meta, especially when you reach platinum. This would easily be negated by handtraps and monster effects, and you won't be able to bring out your boss monster safely. It doesn't take advantage of the archetype's ability to use the graveyard as a secondary hand very well. The fact that there's only twelve dragonmaid monsters in the main deck consisting of forty four cards makes your draws quite unstable. Also, run three Changeover. With the current meta all about negating and banishing, relying on only one would be too dangerous. Also, its secondary effect of being able return your monsters to your hand synergizes well with the archetypes usual combos. Overall, this kind of deck would do well in the lower tiers but lacks enough protection and consistency to do well in the highest tier.
Well, dragonmaid is not a tier 1 deck to be honest. This video is a guide to know how to build a deck meaning that the viewer does not know anything about the archetype, you can always change in the future based on your preferences. But i don't think this deck is really a problem, if consistency would be a problem it would not work even in lower tiers, it can beat some meta decks(tier1) but of course they're not gonna have a great wr against some tier 1 decks. It has 13 dragonmaid monster cards and 7 spell/trap cards from the archetype, that's roughly 20 cards, it's 50% of my deck, do you really think that's not enough? Run 3 Pot of Prosperity and it should help you out. Reasoning often gets your GY ready for you, and this deck is not about getting ''a boss monster'' in the board, this deck is about generating more resources than your opponent and then you're gonna win, because you recycle your cards, your opponent not. ''lacks enough protection'', add 2 called by the grave, will it be enough? You can swap both solemn for 2 called, as i said in the video, handtraps/answers for it are all personal, if you think it's lacking something, then you just change. But you should know, in the end of the day this deck is not tier 1, so obviously it will lack something, this is a good tier 2 deck that can get wins against tier 1 decks like VW, drytron, tri-brigade, etc. This is my deck atm -> i.imgur.com/gm3ruO2.png And this is my WR with dragonmaid decks-> i.imgur.com/y8dTwRb.png
As I stated in my earlier comment, no, those are not enough. I've seen multiple Dragonmaid decks run this same setup in ranked and the performance left much to be desired. And, it wasn't because I was using a tier 1 deck or any of the sorts but I'm using a Dragonmaid deck as well. The biggest problem that they had was that they would often have brick hands or, found it hard to summon the archetype's boss monster. And yes, this archetype needs it boss monster out on the field to set the tone of the duel. And while I agree that this archetype's ability to recycle resources is its strong point, its missing a few cards to truly showcase that ability. It was too slow to bring out enough resources, both in the hand, field and graveyard. I tested it out a couple of times and it was just really lacking. The way the deck is currently set up, it's unable to show its true worth. While having those handtraps and tech cards are good, it slows down the progression of cards being brought out and recycled. And while this is my opinion and you have your own, it's just my criticism of the deck build itself. I saw that you did well with it on your own, it's not a deck build I would really recommend to those who wants to try this archetype out.
@@skytera9674 I think i understand what you're trying to point out, it's true that i have a lot of handtraps/tech cards to stop my opponent instead of running more engines, i guess it's a playstyle thing. You can name some cards to set up the ''true worth'' of this archetype tho, i don't mind trying it out, maybe i can update my deck someday.
Thanks for this i just want a waifu deck man. Currently building dragonmaid, just need a few more mats and a good sample deck to base bc I still dont know their gameplay so thanks for this
Good luck! I like this deck a lot, pretty fun to duel with it, it can be hard to understand what you can do with this deck, but don't give up! After some duels you will learn how to play better with this deck!
This game offers a lot of gems for f2p, like playing the solo mode can help you earn a lot of gems! Playing ranked(even if you lose the duel) it will give exp for your duel pass that gives sr/ur craft currency and gems! So dont worry, play for a while and you will get to craft/pull yout decks!
@@felipelink14 thing is, this only applies if you're a new account. if youre already spent your gems from the solos on making other decks its extremely time consuming to make a whole new deck. on one of my accounts I've spent every single gem i got from completing most of the solo gates and ive only been able to make two and a half decks
@@quothh3631 isnt that a lot tho? Imagine being f2p and getting resource to make 2 decks! That's really good. @@felipelink14 i mustve gotten unlucky w my draws then. ive spent well over 16k and well it just feels underwhelming to only be able to make 2 decks. given that theres so many decks and archetypes the fact that youre limited to such a small amount really limits what you can do. thats why I've opted for using dueling simulators where i can play any deck that i find interesting without spending days grinding for gacha
@@quothh3631 16K seems a pretty low number for a new account. We had at least 25-30k gems f2p just playing solo mode(20 duels)+log in on a new account is more than 10k gems in one day. We had the XYZ festival, log-in for x downloads, etc, etc. And IF you didnt get these gems, 2 decks is enough for f2p, if you feel that 2 decks is not enough it will never be enough. You can stick with duel simulators, no one cares about, but don't rant on CCG games when they have a decent system. They need to pay their bills as well, and still the game is pretty generous. If a f2p can have everything then no one would pay for the packs. If no one pays for the packs we would not have a game.
