    Many of these old dwellings and castles have secret rooms and passages. It would have been really interesting if you discovered one. They would be very well hidden of course. Nice find.

    Amazes me that people just walk away from these beautiful buildings that are worth a fortune. Even in the state it's in it would be like a lottery win for someone like me to afford.
    Even bottles in the cupboard and a TV, like they just walked out... Mad. Thanks for exploring, great to see.

      Properties like these are probably more common than you think. Often owners die with no descendants so there is no one to inherit the property or it may be held up in legal fights for years. Imagine inheriting this place then trying to figure out a way to keep it in good condition.

      To maintain these large mansions is a very expensive venture, mostly a roof thing which needs maintenance and is very costly to repair or restore. They are indeed more common than you think. Seen plenty of these old castles and mansions built in the 18th and 19th century in France which were all boarded up.

    When properties start to decay, I understand that it makes it so much more difficult to sell them.
    However, why on earth didn't they sell when it was in a better state? When the owners left, I bet it would have cost a lot less.
    I realise that would have stopped this video from happening, but I just don't understand why they'd keep the place.

    I’ve mixed feeling about this kind of urbex. These are peoples’ homes that seem less ‘abandoned’ as much as ‘temporarily vacated’. Literally sleeping in someone’s bed among their personal belongings is in a different spirit to exploring old industrial or military structures. I’ve followed the channel for years and generally love the content, but this seems more like an invasion than the usual stuff. Either way, thanks for continuing to produce content for us to watch in spite of all the craziness in the world atm!

    • @ExploringtheUnbeatenPath
      @ExploringtheUnbeatenPath 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's abandoned for many years though and there's a big chance it will turn into a ruin. But I noticed these residential episodes are really bad watched on my channel so I'm not gonna focus on that anymore to make videos. Some EPIC bunker(& other stuff) episodes are coming up ;)

    • @ExploringtheUnbeatenPath

      @@JanKowalski-xh4ri Most of these castles turn into ruins during the years, so it's good to document these also. It wouldn't be the first castle which gets demolished some years later because they waited too long for the renovation.
