It looks to me like there is no "in", because she will be showering outside the van, like in the middle of a Home Depot parking lot, and the camera is only for those not lucky enough to be there in the lot. And then there's the question of winter time. .

The shower camera is very thoughtful....I actually heard shower deaths are in the millions Plus Rich having 24/7 access to the live camera helps incase of emergency
The roll down partition looks great. The dangling beaded cord on the side... not so much. Just use a adjustable self locking projector screen to avoid getting hanged.

The LI-FePO4 batteries is weak in the colder temperatures. You can fully charge it, then, when it reaches very cold temperature, its output is reduce by 50%. It's in the Model 3. The reason why the Model 3 didn't suffer too much is that it has a heat pump which negates the effect of the battery. Wondering if you guys have some mechanism to counteract the power loss in the cold? Maybe the exhaust heat is enough to keep the battery warm.
If the temperature is kept above freezing, they do just fine, especially if they're kept inside the van, which Rich is doing. They don't offgas so this isn't a problem. On top of all that, Relion brand batteries have a low temp cuttoff to prevent charging if they are below freezing, which they will never be.
Great work, LOVE the slats. Battery tip: I noticed you are running the inverter from the positive and negative from just one battery, which will use 70-80 percent of that battery and only the rest from the other battery. So a tip: connect your negative lead to the negative of the other battery, then both batteries will be used and charged equally

I wanted to franchise a business that would retro fit all gasoline cars to all electric. This was before Tesla and any other REAL (available) electric car. I still have people to this day tell me that I was early and needed to present my idea again. I would love to do something like this. I am now a project manager, after losing my left leg above the knee, and I am thankful to be working but I hate my job now because I feel like I don’t produce anything anymore. I only deal with problems on paper and I pride myself on real life problem solving that would arise in such a business of electrifying cars. LiFePo is good down to about -4F, so until the user of the van is doing some very cold weather camping they should be fine. You are right though, to be a real 4-season camper they would need to make sure the batteries and water runs are insulated and heated (and maybe ventilated, in some places high pavement temperatures could be an issue).
The batteries BMS controller system should cut down/off on charging/drain if the temperature is extreme. However I would have personally put in a propane backup system, obviously this would have complicated the heating/fridge/cooker system build. But real off grid living would require such a backup & additional system, especially if there is no sun & -4 F 😮
@@dandare2586 There is sun EVERY DAY. You do not need direct sunlight for the solar to work. It is not as powerful as a clear day but it is working. Buy a solar calculator. Works 365 indoors or out sun or cloudy. If you can see, it is daylight. -4F, or snowing. So an easy way to sweep snow off the collectors on the roof would be advantageous.
@@bunzeebear2973 If I was living in it I would have gas as a back up. Gas is much simpler and there is less to fail than a solar set up. The solar system has several components which if they were to fail would cause the whole system to stop working.

So, besides the pull down partition, are you going to add curtains like on a Freightliner? It's a track that goes above the doors and around the front windshield on the inside. You can pull a curtain around and have privacy. Like a shower curtain or think hospital curtain divider.
Some people are better working with and in combination with others, by themselves it might be harder to flow the same way. I think Stevon is very talented in his thinking, but his comedic timing with Rich is so good, it's like they grew up together or something.
True bucket story. Back in the early 90's, I went to work on a fishing boat in Alaska. My native skipper had his current wife and his bastard son and me as crew. To wash their boat, they would get some river water with this old 5 gallon bucket and some rags, and scrub the boat with the river water. To wash their dishes, they would get some river water with the same bucket and soak and wash their dishes in it. For the skipper's current wife to go to the bathroom without hanging her @ss off the side -- same bucket!
Batteries under the van will lower the center of gravity and will improve handling! But then again it is not like Linda will be entering the van in the Indy 500!
You guys should definitely consider keeping the piece of butcherblock you cut out for the sink. Cut it down, and use it to fill in the sink, to maximize counter space when the sink is not in use. Could also double as a cutting board
