- It's been a while but it's time to look at some new Space Battleship Yamato kits from Bandai again! Two different kits are shown this week! For the first time in GunplaTV history we take a look at a Mecha Collection Yamato kit! The Mecha Collection U.N.C.F. Andromeda-Class Set comes with not one but FIVE ships! Also we have the Ginga from the upcoming 2202 Yamato movie!

From someone who doesent really know Yamato the ginga still looks pretty neat

I'm pretty impressed that the Ginga can hold 4 LEDs as a stock kit.
If u rig your own LED lights. You can run the wire to the base and have the switches there.
The achilles is the other grey one. The alderbaran was the blue one. You got the carriers correct. And yeah they are identical. As they are the exact same ship. Just copies with the carriers having an added flight deck. (Im watching as you say)
All ships appear in 2202 with the andromeda being the only ship on episodes by itself, with out the rest. The apollo norm was destroyed in ep18 (spoilers) from the gatlantean antimatter missile things. The andromeda was badly damaged and has had a repaint, as seen in the new chapter. So ready for a new model on that (i feel as if bandai forced that to happen, to get more money from the models, a f*** it, theyre just so nice that i want them to take my money).

2:30 I bought the box on the right. I may have have messed up one of the decals and missing one of the one fins but I love it so much
Also the glued the rear and midship of the hull because it keeps coming off and I didn't really want to pay extra for the lightings
The Yuunagi kit that comes with the 2202 Yamato, is molded in 2 colors.

What do i have to do for you to give me for free a PG Exia Lighting, or at least a big discount, i really want it but really cant afford it atm due to medical expenses, with custom fees in my country it would cost me almost 500€ wich is the minimum wage salary around here... i know im asking for too much, but no is always guaranteed so i really have to try, and i really dont know if i will ever get the chance again. Personally I think Yamato 2202 completely ruined the "powerful but compact" concept in the old/ Yamato 2199 series... who needs a bridge as large as the hull when you have AI robots onboard?
Gawd. Will they ever redesign the Yamato? It was cool during the 70's, not so today. Come on man. Fins from the 50's autos? It missed an opportunity to redesign it for the live movie and tv remake. The Enterprise gets remade many times. James Bond doesn't drive the same car every movie. Tony Stark doesn't wear the same suit each movie. A slave to nostalgia isn't enough.

@VOLD GAMER yes go to YAMATO 2202 report 27 then scroll down to October 10 chapter 6 video box art there's a picture of the YAMATO being updated with some changes the website is called Cosmo DNA/ ourstarblazers
@VOLD GAMER your welcome.. but from what I have seen in YAMATO 2202 it started off looking like the 2199 version with small changes but in the latest chapter the YAMATO got damaged so they updated it yet again.
@VOLD GAMER you can google watch space battleship Yamato 2202 for free... in latest chapter I seen it get sucked into the gravitational pull of the Comet Empire ..then I have seen some pictures of the YAMATO crash landed on a planet surface looking similar to what it did when they first built it
