So I went to Hermes in Seibu, Shibuya, Tokyo once for the first time, and I withdrew from the store without any explanation, especially since I had no sense of being a customer of Hermes. I made a hypothesis once. I had a hypothesis once, because it is a popular item that is in short supply, Like a Rolex, If the store is carrying it at the right time when you inquire about it, you can buy it. At the time, there were some restrictions on entering the store due to the Corona, I thought it would not be rude to make an inquiry by phone, I called Omotesando store and Takashimaya Shinjuku store to try it out, The Takashimaya Shinjuku store said they had some sizes in stock, So I made an appointment at Takashimaya Shinjuku and headed there. Of course, I was not a customer of Hermes at that time, So I went in, mimicking my upbringing as much as possible to make myself look as good as possible, I was allowed to see the actual TGM Chene d'Ancle. I was allowed to see the actual TGM Chêne d'Ancle, but not its size, I had already decided to buy a TGM 11-frames at a thrift store, I asked her if she had 11 frames in stock, and she said she would check their inventory, and that there was a reservation slot available at their store right now, I said, "Please let me make a reservation! I asked for an appointment. As for the delivery time, I was told in advance that it could take from three to six months, or even longer. I quickly responded, "I'll wait as long as it takes, As a result, the order arrived in one week. どうやって購入したのかが長くなってしまうのでコメント欄に記載しておきます⬇️
自分のモデルはTGMの11コマですが、最初は買い方が分からなかったので、
とりあえず一回渋谷の西武にあるエルメスに行きました。
店内には置いておらず、店員さんに聞いてみても今うちでは取り扱いがありませんね、、
ということで、エルメスの顧客感0だった自分に特にその先の説明はなく撤退しまして、
一回仮説を立てました。
品薄の人気アイテムなので、
ロレックスのデイトナマラソンのように、
お店で問い合わせたタイミングでちょうど取り扱いがあれば買える。
もしくは顧客以外には売れない。
という線が濃いかなと考えました。
当時コロナの影響で入店制限もあったりしたので、
電話で問い合わしても失礼ではないかなということで、
試しに表参道店と高島屋新宿店に電話をかけてみたところ、
高島屋新宿店の方でサイズによっては在庫がありますということで、
高島屋新宿店に入店予約を入れて、向かいました。
もちろんそのタイミングでエルメスの顧客ではありませんでしたので、
なるべく少しでも育ちが良く思われるように擬態しながら入りまして、
TGMのシェーヌダンクルの実物を見させてもらいました。
そのサイズは別だったのですが、
古着屋であらかじめTGMの11コマを買おうと決めていましたので、
11コマの在庫を一度お伺いしてみました。
すると少々確認して参りますと言うことで、在庫を確認していただけまして、
今ですとうちの店舗の予約枠が空いておりますということで、
「ぜひ予約させてください!」と言う感じでお願いしました。
納期に関しては、「3ヶ月から半年、それよりもっとかかる可能性もございます」
ということで一応前振りいただいて、
すかさず「いくらでも待ちます」と応答した結果、
まさかの1週間で到着。という感じで今に至ります。
場所や時期によって大きく変わりそうで恐縮ですが、
