Hi. We have no chance at gold finding in Wales.
All gold and silver in the UK is Crown Property and any exploration / production requires a Crown Mineral Licence. These licences over-ride land owners but additional permissions are then needed from the land-owners.
Having put together such arrangements over the years I can tell you the Crown Licence is the easy bit !

Thanks for the video. If you sampling rock and using a cast iron, hand crusher. Just a little one. Will it all be fine from crushing it? Or will there actually be bigger piece's also? .

Thanks for the video. I don't know that I'll ever get back into mining but I'll donate to help others maintain their right to mine. We need to find a way to keep BLM from destroying what's left of our mining heritage before it's too late. Every day they are closing another adit.

Hi. I don't think one would get permission to pan for gold. Many agencies would object like this one in Wales.
The Gwynfynydd Gold Mine,
The mine was forced to close its doors in 1999 because new Health and Safety rules made the owners liable for any contaminated water discharged into the River Mawddach.

Minor-miner technicality: A "shaft" is normally a vertical or near vertical 'tunnel', your entrance would be considered a tunnel or a drift I believe.
