My dad is a pastor, and he preached against feminism all the time, giving thoughtful, biblical critiques, which stick with me to this day. I am a pastor now, and I have learned to preach against feminism. It's true that most preachers have dropped the ball on this. But there have been preachers preaching the law and the gospel clearly. A remnant has been preserved by God thanks to his Word.
I will say though, that I agree with your assessment. Even with the faithful preachers pointing out the errors of feminism to their parishioners, God has used his Midian method, causing the enemies to turn on themselves in a panic. It's a humbling thing. God calls us to confess the truth. We know that he works through his Word, but it's in his own time. He hardens whom he wills, working his salvation through the staggering of those who stand against it. It reminds me of Kipplings "The Gods of the Copybook Headings." We who are not under the law can take a strange kind of comfort in this poem, since we know that the "gods of the copybook headings" aka natural law has lost its power to condemn us who are I'm Christ Jesus.
Yes, I see it more dominate when the pastor has all daughters or his wife secretly wants to preach or otherwise is actively involved with girl-power and feministic ideologies. They will say that the Bible was "written" by and for men. But they don't acknowledge that the Bible is directed at all and teaches proper feminism and promotes safety and care of women (especially widows and fatherless).
Many churches today focus primarily on feminine love (emotion, empathy, openness, acceptance, etc..) rather than masculine love (authority, discipline, consequence, etc..). Is it really any surprise that men in particular are avoiding these organizational groups? We live in a society of entitled women, who make immoral decisions without being held accountable, and weak men who won’t stand against wickedness. This, sadly, is a cyclical phenomenon that repeats over larger spans of time-Hence, there is no “internal” (earth reality) solution. Harder times, which are coming for the West, will create stronger more virtuous people.
Yes, I agree. That is why many men choose not to attend a church. The bible is a masculine book, with clear instructions and truths. But most modern churches focus on sentimentality and feelings. Most churches look more like social clubs rather than places of learning. I have even given up on bible study groups, because it usually ends up being people taking turns reading a few verses, and then talking about how it makes you feel, rather than trying to find the objective truth that is being taught in the scripture.
@rickybobby9797 " Many churches today focus primarily on feminine love" Call that "love" if you want anyway when churches do that you can be sure that they are NOT driven by the Lord but by the devil . I dare those modern teachers show us the passages in the Bible where GOD makes it all about a sex as emotional and rebellious as the female one ? In the Bible , there is ORDER : it's all about God , all about the man right after God , then about the woman made for the man . When you focus on all things feminine , you disrupt this godly order . You reverse the male /female poles . You destroy gender roles . You bring chaos. It's sorcery. It's the work of the devil. Feminism is Luciferianism . What they preach today just shows that western church has been infiltrated by Luciferian Freemasonry .
@@nerychristian Feelings and "love" is what women trap men with . A quick look at what Delilah did to Samson and you get it very easily. Women are the real oppressors .
Me too. Feminism in the church has destroyed much. I wasnt taught how to respect my husband and let him lead. My oldest married someone like me :( he’s already pursuing divorce. I wish I was an example of a gentle and quiet spirit for him.
I’m with you kaila. I also bought into the feminist agenda as a young adult woman. I was a prodigal child. God brought me to my senses in my mid to late 30’s. It took years for God to rinse and renew my mind from this deception. Now, in my 60’s, i do have regrets. i still live with the consequences of my decisions then. But God! God granted me forgiveness and brought me to my knees. I am eternally grateful for God’s forgiveness of my sins. Thank You Lord for saving my soul! i love You Jesus! Always and Forever.
Thank you for posting this. I have always felt that evil would win on this agenda/front because women cannot admit when they are wrong and will not go warn the younger generation. Thank you for proving me wrong.
I never bought into the feminist deal because I like men, but I've never liked the feminist lies, or how they acted. It seemed like a kind of religion for women. The 60s made things really bad. I became independent as the wife of a soldier and then when he got out of the Army, he took a job where he worked a week away from home and then back for a week at home. I had to be able to handle whatever might have happened while he was gone. He was never the real head of the family, though. That was a hardship and we grew apart, so we have gotten counseling, which has helped a lot with our relationship. We passed our 60th wedding anniversary this past July. He is more interested in being the head of our household and has become more thoughtful. It didn't come easily for him and I was so miserable that I didn't give him any quarter, poor guy. He has trouble being responsive toward others and that left me alone, though he never left me. There is always hope for those who love God and the Holy Spirit is very kind and loving. He guides me to answers to questions I ask of Him, which never ceases to amaze me. God bless everyone here.❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I haven’t even listened yet and I already know I will love this conversation. So happy you had Rosaria on! Feminism in the Church is a much needed discussion and I am so grateful for the wisdom you both share on this. May God bless you both
The church is ignoring the roles of wives and mothers. The church ignores teaching women that they should be keepers at home and not put their children in daycare. Sons need to be taught to be providers and protectors and wives need to be taught to be helpers of their husbands, and raise their children in the ways of the Lord. I haven’t even listen to this conversation yet, but I am looking forward to it.
If you're living in the US, most states are turning to dual income relationships. The thing with this day and age is the cost of living. One person can not pay for everything in a relationship anymore. It takes two people now to raise a family. Unless the man/ provider makes over a little over 100K. Where even after taxes, he can take care of the home comfortably.
Obedience brings blessing. If those Christian women in the two income families will obey the Lord and go home and raise their children, the Lord will bless and provide for that family. You can test Him on this one.
Most women want to submit to godly men, the problem is: there are not too many, even in the church, even the ones that call themselves Christians. Men are to love their wives as the Lord loved the church and then women will be very happy to submit to these men. But the problems is: men are too weak, they do not want to do the work Christ called them to do: to love their wives, to renew their minds, etc., they think they are already perfect and only the wives need to go for inner healing or just be quiet and submit in an ungodly way, it's not our fault if God made us powerful... their submitting is very different of what Christ meant in the Bible. Also, you guys still do not know that there are no genders in God sight, that is why God calls into ministry or what else He needs to call, women and men; but you use what the Apostle Paul said in the Bible as a women disqualification for them to be in ministry, you should try to know our God more and really study the Bible. Now, it's not that I want to be in ministry, most women I know did not want to be in ministry (but they are powerful in the Lord, more than some men), God wants me to be...so we are still talking about that, how He is going to do that with me, Look my reward is Christ, I'm ok in not being in ministry...especially with so many people judging women and God...I just need peace not to fight with men and even with women fighting our great God and keeping in putting Him in a box...@@CaptnMojo
Great to hear that some people refuse to be mesmerized by fancy words that are nothing but lies. Thank you for taking the word of God unapologetically. Very refreshing!
Outstanding discussion! Thanks to both of you for the conversation that no one wants to have. I belong to an AOG church and this conversation would be practically prohibited. The church is depriving woman of their creation gifts found in Titus 2:3-5. Thanks Pastor Joel for being courageous in the ministry of the Word. I pray for your continued fruitfulness of your ministry. Thanks to Rosaria for your transparency in your conversion experience. Bless you both!
Fantastic conversation. This is my first time actually listening to her but, I would love to hear more from her. We need more women like her in our world!
My Mother-in-law stated that she was more aligned with the early 20th century 1st wave feminists. I responded with, "you mean the women who shamed young men to go and die in the trenches of WWI during the White Feather Campaign?" She had no response.
@@michellepeterson6320 I suspect there was a ton of politicking going on back then just as there is today. For the common man (non-land owners) to earn the right to vote they had to go fight in the trenches. The leaders of the suffragette movement earned it for women by getting in bed with the government and ultimately they decreased the male population. It makes sense from a tactical point of view. If you want power, eliminate or at least weaken the competition.
The women suffragettes were known as terrorists, they were blowing things up and killing people. They WERE terrorists and only about 5% of women backed them. It's interesting how it only takes about 5% of a population to be radicalized and devastate society or a nation.
I’m in the middle of reading your first book Rosario. And I purchased Five Lies and will read that next. Excellent resources for understanding how to initiate conversations and relationships that lead to gospel sharing. Thank you so much for writing these books.
It bothers me that in many churches refer to the pastors wife as co pastor. My husband once pastored a church, and a man in the church announced my husband and I as the pastors. I had to corect him. I said Im not a pastor, but I am the pastors wife.
This was outstanding! Thank you. While I disagree with your eschatology and Christian Nationalism, I greatly appreciate your courage and manliness for Christ in these perilous times. Y’all said it very well, these are not the days for hirelings.
Even a lot of podcasts more on the secular side have been saying the American church is guilty of "back door feminism."...... And they would be correct. It's about time this conversation is had!
Yes, I left a church over that, and I'd advise any Christian to do the same. If you have a family especially, since it would be exposing them to terrible teachings and examples. We should not put up with the from our churches.
As much as I agree that feminism dominates the evangelical church, and this clearly is a result of the church being friendly to secular culture. That said, the statement that feminism is dead outside the church or that transgender ideology killed feminism is false. Transgender ideology is making feminism stronger and not killing it, there are a few feminists that oppose transgender gender ideology, but the overwhelming majority do not. The transgender community and feminism both are enemies of the family, and both movements want to destroy male authority, and both encourage rebellion against men.
It goes hand in hand with feminism. In ancient times the worship of the goddess Ishtar was a LGBTQ style religion. It's the same spirit infesting the world today. This is what modern Christians fail to understand about this spirit. It's at war against GOD's laws. It destroys societies.
Feminism just affirmed transgender stuff and carried on. Feminism is still completely dominant. A few feminists rejected it and lost their power but so what.
I get your point... you can still see militant feminists acting out. Jesus defeated death and the enemy at the cross, but we still have ferocious battles.... don't we? Same scenario. Feminism has no legs to stand on, but the delusional and deranged will continue just like soldiers continue to fight after a war is officially over... like the Civil War. It just takes some time for the consequences to manifest themselves in changed behavior or beliefs.
@henrka Exactly. Saying feminism is dead would be such a relief , such a victory , a triumph of good over evil . I so often ask myself why God does not allow this triumph to occur in this highly corrupt West ? Could it be because of us Christians who have LET all this darkness surround us ? Sure it's not the church that enforces laws , however why is the church so quick in taking the side of women , the sex first in transgression , at the expense of men , in society , at church , and worst of all in their own marriage ? Sure God abhorrs that .
I wasn't going to watch this since I have seen her alot and just recently on cross politic. I am so glad I did! I will need to listen again because it is full of wisdom. Thank you.
I love to hear Rosaria every time she speaks, mostly because we have similar stories. I thought we were about the same age, and you confirmed that this episode 😊
Awesome interview. I love the clarity on handing the hard issues with straightforward biblical truth. A rarity within so many churches today in which the 11th law of winsomeness reigns.
Great interview. I wish more pastors & priests would have the conviction that you have to speak truth to these difficult topics. My loyalty to Christ is more important than your feelings & it's more important than my feelings and my desires. I find it completely unacceptable to bend the truth or make compromises on the truth. I imagine we are even to prefer potential martyrdom over making that surrender. Lord give me the strength should that be my fate, the glory will always be yours
I really appreciated this conversation. No one has ever been willing to say women have more of a propensity to be deceived. We did a study and that passage and they completely explained it away. I also appreciate that we are repenting people and must not be surprised by that!!
@jamiechaney5136 Women have more of a propensity to be caught up in pride and rebellion . Women's Lib is evidence of it. What did the church say when Woman's Lib happened ? I wish I had been there to know. Women have always been Satan's most favourite tool , beginning with Eve. Sad but true.
I’ve read “The Gospel come with a House Key.” Wow…..amazing! I’m putting “Five Lies” on my Christmas list! Dr. Butterfield is a fresh voice so needed in our church today. She’s up there now with my all time favorite, Elisabeth Elliot.
Spot on sister! Well put, can't agree more with you about the fact Rosaria can be the Elisabeth Elliott of our time. Praise God for these beautiful virtuous women🎉
I'm Glad you interviewed this woman and continue speaking the truth about the utter destruction of families that modern "Christian" churches bring about by being weak, effeminate cowards. Bravo.
I don't know if this phenomena is just happening in the US, but I'd like to give some insights to the state of mainline Protestant churches in Indonesia. In here, most mainline Protestant churches have ordained women as preachers for quite a long time already. But they do this not out of societal pressure to be progressive, because the culture here is highly patriarchal. Rather, they do this out of a genuine interpretation of Paul's advice to be contextual instead of literal. Those who are ordained as female preachers do so not out of a selfish desire to girl-boss the whole church into submission, but rather as a calling to serve God from the pulpit. And these female preachers, alongside their male counterparts which are still far larger in numbers, are capable of administering feminine love (emotion, empathy, openness, acceptance, etc..) and masculine love (authority, discipline, consequence, etc..) at the same time. I'd also like to add that due to being required to survive in a harsh, highly patriarchal society, average Asian females tend to be tougher than their average western counterparts. Asian females tend to walk the talk instead of simply screaming about girl power and stuffs like that. Thus, female preachers here tend to think with logic when interpreting the scripture rather than emotions, and are able to discipline their congregations when the need arise. While it may be true that the number of female preachers in America has a direct correlation to the rise of woke ideology in the churches, it is not the case here in Indonesia and many other Asian nations. The main problems with Protestant churches here are not acceptance of LGBTQ+, but the spread of prosperity gospel and word of faith movement which are strongly contested by the mainline Protestant churches.
Such a refreshing, edifying change. God's heart. Not just His words, theologically pasteurised. Gently flowing waters of Shiloh... Gold & precious jewels ✨ Thankyou Jesus. Thankyou Father 🙏 How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony! Like fine oil on the head, running down on the beard, running down Aaron's beard over the collar of his robes. Like the dew of Hermon falling on the mountains of Zion. For there the LORD has bestowed the blessing, life forevermore.
Having been in the church for 30 years in the UK, I have observed that for every 1 man in the pews, there are 2 women, and that Pastors will tailor their message to women and crack jokes against men. Church culture is so pink and fluffy and feminine that men are not attracted to it.
It's not that, it's that men are not interested in God as women are, they are mostly weak and proud and want to do their own thing. If they were in the church, the pastor would not make jokes if what you say is true of course, I've never experienced that...
Yes, I agree. Churches have become social clubs. Women are the ones who run everything. And everything is catered to women. Men stay away from church because they don't like all the emotional, mushy feely sentimentality found in the church.
@@cullenkehoe5184 Men were created with more muscular mass , more stamina , more strength , more intellectual capacities , with the ability to design all kinds of inventions for the better and the worse but when it comes to women , they make me think (and I'm a woman) of Samson in front of Delilah or Adam in front Eve . Yes they are weak on women . That's why women disrespect them and take over. They hate them deep inside and crave male dominance . It seems to be that modern men are completely clueless about basic female psychology . Women cannot respect men who are not dominant and who just "love " them in an effeminate way as preached todays in pulpits , books and magazines. It's just impossible. He shall rule over you Genesis 3:16 God knew what would happen . He cannot be fooled by women the way men are.
I sent for Rosaria's book. Dr. Carrie Gress is the Catholic counterpart to Rosaria. Gress's book "The Death of Woman" provides a superb background to the long history of Feminism. It would be wonderful to see and hear these two brilliant women interviewed together. By the way, Dr. Gress not only has a PhD in philosophy but she has five children.
A pastor can preach "complimentarianism" from the pulpit and refuse to recognize the authority of the husband to make final decisions in a counseling setting. I am suffering through this now, and it took me years to figure out why my pastor wouldn't say one thing in rebuke or admonition to my wife. After I started researching and asking more questions... I became a "distraction". and I was asked to leave. The pastor allowed her to file papers on me and has not supported me one step of the way (my opinion... that's what it seems like to me). You have to hear both sides for context, but the point is there are closet feminists as pastors who say one thing and do another. Politics is alive and well. In my opinion, no man, woman or child is safe with a pastor like that.
Complimentarianism is often used as sheep's clothing. I had the same situation with a Leftist pastor who believed all women. In the end, I realised that he was mainly concerned for his job, and speaking anything against women would make him unpopular. When professional Christianity was created, a conflict of interest was also created.
Yes, most pastors are cowardly on this subject, and are heavily affected by feminist thinking. There has been great damage done. I really don't know how one would determine if a pastor who was kosher from the pulpit, would be feminist in a counseling setting. They can hide a lot if they want to. I'm very sorry for your terrible experience.
Most pastors are unqualified, also they are cowards and they are scared of women . They want an easy job and if you keep the women happy you can keep them coming . If you come down hard on the man your seen as brave and are praised
Most Christians haven't studied the Bible cover to cover and check their own heart before God. Men being passive have made this problem. God's order doesn't change.
I agree, men being passive and not wanting anything to do with being spiritual and the head of the family has created this problem. That's why, I am praying to start a life with no man at all... only the Lord, at least He cares for us
I have lived with such a man and now he is divorcing me even after I showed him scripture. Most men have gotten lazy and refuse to study scripture and obey it. I am broken hearted and will be single doing His work.
@@terrymiri A man cannot be the head of his family if he has no real authority to rebuke and discipline if necessary . Men are passive just as Adam was. They are followers of the feminine just as Adam was out of laziness , cowardice but alos because their real God-given authority has been stripped both by the state and the church. Is the Western church in bed with the state ? She gives always more authority to the state than to the husband . What is really going on here ? Who has hijacked the West ? Wicked Jewish elites , sons of the devil as Jesus called them ? Have the church been corrupted by the love of money ?
It always cracks me up when the "spiritual" women take a play from secular feminists and blame everything on men. You ladies are always the victim, another feminist talking point. Perhaps your men have checked out because they're tired of putting up with your crap and see no value in fighting with/for you.
First time seeing your channel. Really great discussion and produced good food for thought. Thank you for the honest discussion of females and feminism. Thank you for linking “empathy surrounded by wolves.” Really hit home for me.
The biggest thing that I can see that feminism has brought into the evangelical church, at least in my circles, is an abandonment of teaching wives submission in marriage. That’s practically been thrown out the window.
Probably because God/Jesus said the "two shall be one" and Ephesians 5:21 says "Submit one to another". In the Greek, in Eph 5:22, there is no word submit. The passage teaches mutual submission. And husbands are to love their wives "as Christ loved the church". Christ loved sacrificially, He limited His power and humbled Himself and washed the disciples feet. To model Christ, husbands, if the wife's idea is more wholesome, aligned with Christ, for the marriage and family, he should submit to his wife. Vice verse for the wife to submit to husband, for the two are called to be "one".
@@Bible33AD Pure feminist heresy. Thanks for showing how wicked the Western church has become. Man is the head , he is the glory of God . He has been given dominion on this earth , right after God . They are not called to be "one but ONE FLESH , which has everything to do with sex . Mutual submission cannot exist . What you and your feminist buddies want is to REVERSE the hierarchy and have men at the bottom and women on top. God said in Genesis 3:16 HE shall rule over you .
I was in a Fortune 100 corporation where there where all women leaders in the chain of command from the ground floor in operations to the CEO! That was 10 years ago. However, the transformation started twenty years plus before that! In my Master of Management, which I took during this time period. I studied as well as lived out this transformation and its consequences. What was pioneered in that Company is now pretty much the status quo in most corporations I am afraid!
Yes, I agree. Women have taken over most institutions. The only ones they won't touch are the careers that require getting your hands dirty. But we all know why. Feminism isn't about equality. It's about getting rid of men from all places of influence and power. I think men initially went along with it all, because they believed the feminist hype, and sincerely wanted to help and encourage women. The problem is that women will never return the favor. They are only loyal to themselves.
I really luv your pod cast also being a proud catholic II find you and your guest speak seek & tri (3) to live out that truth through the example of the Holy Family and our Lords Jesus Christ The King of everything Alpa & omega.ttt we as his disciples live our lives in the closest practical manner as they lived there’s while they were in this kingdom which is not our kingdom we our trying to bring our Fathers kingdom through his Glory Good News & Redemption Sufferingand reserectionthat great gifts down to this fallen world . Well, the problem lies in the unbiblical nature of most church services. The sermon was borrowed from Greek Sophists and allows for assertions and doctrinal positions to be dictated from the pulpit in such a way that they cannot be clarified, questioned, or challenged. This makes the entire congregation passive and submissive, but this is particularly damaging for men who are often browbeat about giving and/or forced to endure bad doctrine being preached. When Jesus said 'let no one call you teacher' this is the kind of authoritative teaching that He was talking about. Assertions and teachings about faith should never be done in a way that cannot be readily and immediately questioned in an acceptable manner - without it being or becoming a major ordeal.
"Weaponized empathy." Oh, well said-that's precisely the primary means by which the inherently destructive ideology called feminism finds its enduring foothold in the contemporary Evangelical church. It's masterful manipulation, and those who employ it are acting plainly outside the Spirit of Christ. I thank the Lord Jesus for Rosaria Butterfield's testimony!
I’m a conservative orthodox Christian woman. I’m against women pastors/ ministers, I always wear a head covering etc etc. I’m too conservative to be a part of any of the churches on the Isle of Islay where I live as although the current priests/ ministers of these churches happen to be men, they aren’t against women priests/ ministers. Im afraid that men who think that they are less likely to be deceived than women are deceived themselves and full of pride. Wasn’t Adam deceived as well as Eve?
To answer your question, no Adam was not deceived (1 Tim 2:13-14). He willingly chose to abdicate his authority and responsibility to lead/protect his wife and followed her into sin. (Certainly worse than Eve's sin).
Public schooling is unbiblical and men intrinsically realize that it's an unnecessary and toxic environment. All men who have been public schooled have experienced being punished for being masculine and told that being a compliant little girl is the ideal mode of existence, and they just don't have any interest or loyalty to that system. Praise God
I’m a man that is a teacher. The simplest answer? Parents don’t want male teachers. We’re viewed as liabilities and our teaching styles are too harsh to parents. They prefer women and neutered males.
Ya, I was thinking the same about this podcast. I respect and have learned much from Rosaria's testimony, but isn't this podcast teaching & preaching to both men and women? Aren't her books and speeches preaching to women & men? What's the difference except that they don't occur under the church roof?
Catholicism focuses on God, Christ , the Holy Spirit. Men and women's roles are complimentary and orderly, and family is celebrated. Abortion is a sin. Rachel's Vineyard and other programs help sinners understand themselves and their need for repentance, and their ability to be forgiven. We are all sinners. Thank you for hosting Rosaria. Blessings to all here. God loves you.
Our congregation was voting on a search committee. One of the first proposals raised was to control the ratio of males to females. It passed. Heaven forbid we trust only guys to find a pastor candidate.
What about taking the men aside and saying that patriarchy is the biblical model. Men walk in fear of their wives, and this is terrible for the families and ultimately the body of Christ.
We have had a wonderful and peaceful marriage just relying on what the Bible teaches from the start. I lead, protect, and provide for the home. My wife follows me, takes care of the home, and cares for the children. We love one another, and make the home a place of work, prayer, and worship. It's really simple if you don't let ministers muck it up for you. God's way works.
They need to publicly teach it, both the role of men and their leadership responsibility, and women's responsibility to support and submit to their husband's leadership. This needs to be a deep and extensive dive into it. The brainwashing has been going on so long, almost NOBODY has a clue what the family dynamics are supposed to look like. Most men have no clue what it even means to be a leader and how to walk in authority. Meanwhile most women think submission equals slavery. We are in a DEEP mess, it's going to take A LOT to fix it. First step is waking up pastors to the truth, and somehow finding the spine to go against the Jezebel spirit that has been ruling over their church for decades.
@@JW-tg1nn nope. The scriptures tear your heresy apart over and over again. She was made to be his HELPER, not partner. He is the head of her. She is to submit to him in EVERYTHING. She is not to teach or exercise authority over him, but he teaches and exercises authority over her. He is protector, provider and priest. Sounds pretty damn patriarchal and NOT complimentarian.
@@JW-tg1nn loving and protecting someone is not the same as SERVING them in the way you are thinking or in the way wives are to serve their husbands. The fact that you even threw that out, like it's an argument, just shows the lengths you feminists will go to and the logical leaps you will make in order to thwart the truth of the Bible to serve your own purpose, which is to bow down to women. The hierarchy is clear and in your face. The Bible doesn't even try to hide it. You can live in delusion and deny the truth all you want, it doesn't change that facts of what's clearly stated in the Bible. Men are THE leaders in their household, full stop.
"Finally, a coffee company that doesn't hate you or your beliefs" - best intro for a promo ever. It's funny cause it's true and on a spiritual level you can't even laugh about it because it's indicative of the fallen state of the world that we saints must persevere in.
She is awesome...she spent her life pushing this feminism garbage, it's good that she finally sees what she has done is wrong , and now she wants to clean up the mess she caused, I don't see how, its gone to far. We need strong Godly men in the church to take the lead , there is nothing from this lady I want to hear.
Hope you will discuss this problem of feminism more thoroughly to impress on Christians how destructive it truly is and how it has adversely affected our western culture, including 1 Corinthians 11 and its imprtant symbolism.
I can only say that I am praying for everyone involved in this ministry. Feminism does not seem to be the problem here. Women make wonderful leaders, so let's encourage them and motivate men to love caring for their homes. I am a little heartbroken but my hope is in the God of the universe who has written each person's life most intricately.
Karyn Seitz, as an unbeliever has amazing inputs when it comes to these subjects. She seem to have taken the hard work to expose females and their doings in soceity.
I love you brother and enjoy the teaching in the ministry and it has been very helpful. If you see this would you please talk about the terms, my church, their church, his church that church this church, her church when none of those are correct is it not the Lords church and should we not be saying that it’s an honest question
I'm not reformed (determinism) but I enjoy your channel and agree with you on many other areas including this topic (feminism vs the family), post-millenial/partial-preterist (like RC Sproul), and the supernatural interpretation of Genesis 6:1-5 (I studied under Dr Michael Heiser). I guess I'm not popular anywhere! LoL! But at least I can say I know God (YHWH/Yeshuah/the Spirit). My pursuit is truth. I'm willing to update my perspective and interpretations if a strong enough argument can be made. I used to be buy into the femanist narrative (until Jordan Peterson), was waiting for Jesus to return in 1988 (a generation after Israel was reinstated), and didn't really think about Genesis 6 (until Dr Heiser and another author) among other beliefs that had to be reexamined after further study. Just like with institutional capture of finance, medicine, lawyers, research, statistics, etc... I think that too much emphasis is put on tradition because it is easily hijacked by influential leaders. The church is not immune because there is a culture of submission to authority. We just assume that the authorities won't be wolves. Augustine had a gnostic/Manacean background who used Plato to understand the Bible. He seems to have brought in a deterministic view of God even though it wasn't found in Hebrew ideas or earlier church fathers. I don't think it was intentionally subversive. In fact maybe the opposite - he wanted to emphasize certain aspects of God's character (e.g. sovereignty) but ended up distorting the ideas based on his previous influences. But Augustine was immensely influential and persuasive.
ONE DAY a week?!?! I’m disappointed in Mrs . Butterfeild for not calling you out. You focus on the world 6 days a week (TH-cam and Twitter fights)and are quite proud of hosting ONE DAY for the Lord? 31:21 I’m in the DC area and even the worldly, liberal churches are hosting more than Texas churches. No wonder the world is demon filled place. You took your California life to Texas. Lots of luck with your worldly influencer career?
Joel, Rosaria Butterfield is a feminist. She has taught men from the pulpit and is a part of the TGC. She also has said that the Christian community needs to be more loving like the Sodomite community. Do your homework, she is a Feminist.

Little positional influence but more natural influence. There are still natural gifts you have as a man you can use. But I agree it's an uphill battle.
@@terrymiri Are you that sure Terry ? We women are very special" animals " . We have proved to be everything but trustworthy , too changing , too emotional .
Women voted from the beginning, we see that in history books, then it was taken away and only land owners could vote. Women also served in gov. Blacks couldn't vote either before 19. You want it gone? Then 90% of men cannot vote either because they do not own their land which was a voting requirement.
In my experience women tend to think every feeling or thought they have is there friend or the need for it all no matter what it is to be validated at all cost. It’s like they see every spirit as something that should be integrated and they allow the demonic spirits in because of it.
Joel, if you want to be a truly "masculine" church leader, stop taking money from your congregation (that is a pretty big leather chair and well-furnished study) and work a full-time job (Paul was a tentmaker) in addition to your pastoral duties. This should not be a problem as your wife can care for the children while you are at work.
Please, pastors, preach out against feminism in your churches. There is a crisis in the church of young men who desire biblical wives not having any options, because the young women embrace “Christian Feminism” (basically, rebuking men based on emotional understanding of God). The last three single young women I have met through biblical based churches have reviled me in our first conversation based off of an emotional understanding of a clear biblical principle that I have said.
What do you mean when you guys say "this world is not meant for hirelings"? Id like somebody to expand on that please. The onset of where I generated that question is from around the @43:15 mark ongoing for the next 5 minutes or so.
As a Catholic, we have nuns (women who voluntarily give up their desire for marriage to pursue Christ in celibacy). The Reformed do believe that a man can pursue Christ in celibacy (though it is rare), but I'm wondering what their take is on women who desire to do the same? At that point "Submit to your husband" becomes irrelevant.
This would be the point of bringing up biblical patriarchy. Under the biblical patriarchy model, until that woman is married, she is under the protection, provision and authority of her patriarch (usually father), and that she submits to him and his wife (her mother). Of course you'll find exceptions, but I hope you see the point of the biblical model.
You are correct. Praise God for you and your dad. I’m grateful.

Do you think Saudi Arabia and Iran have it right?
You said it so well. Seems to be like this everywhere..
@@JW-tg1nn It's actually fun. You should try it
@rickybobby9797
" Many churches today focus primarily on feminine love"
Call that "love" if you want anyway when churches do that you can be sure that they are NOT driven by the Lord but by the devil .
@@nerychristian
Feelings and "love" is what women trap men with . A quick look at what Delilah did to Samson and you get it very easily.
Women are the real oppressors .
This is so needed. I bought the feminist lie as younger woman as well and now paying the price.
How so may I ask?
Now, in my 60’s,
i do have regrets. i still live with the consequences of my decisions then.
Looks like many omit to teach that wives are to submit to their husbands.
@@CaptnMojo You said a dirty word in this society.

Fantastic conversation. This is my first time actually listening to her but, I would love to hear more from her. We need more women like her in our world!
Check out her videos with Becket Cook. Very worth listening to.
My Mother-in-law stated that she was more aligned with the early 20th century 1st wave feminists. I responded with, "you mean the women who shamed young men to go and die in the trenches of WWI during the White Feather Campaign?" She had no response.
What is the White Feather campaign?
Generally young men are called/driven by design to go to war to protect their homeland/families.
Yeah, they were given a very white-washed view of who those women were. I need to go back for a deep dive myself.
Great. Pastor's wife is a unique and honored position, but it's not a co-pastor job.
@henrka
Exactly.
I was a bit confused by that claim. Feminism is doomed perhaps, but it’s certainly not dead.
I wasn't going to watch this since I have seen her alot and just recently on cross politic. I am so glad I did! I will need to listen again because it is full of wisdom. Thank you.

Fantastic conversation as expected. Very insightful and helpful. Thanks Pastor Joel!
Thank you!
It is bending the truth to imply that Catholicism is part if Christendom
I really appreciated this conversation. No one has ever been willing to say women have more of a propensity to be deceived. We did a study and that passage and they completely explained it away. I also appreciate that we are repenting people and must not be surprised by that!!

Women have more of a propensity to be caught up in pride and rebellion . Women's Lib is evidence of it. What did the church say when Woman's Lib happened ? I wish I had been there to know.

What a great interview. Rosaria’s wisdom is incredible. Great work Pastor Joel.
I greatly enjoy Mrs. Butterfield's God-fearing perspective. God's speed with the Christian school plant.

This was a great episode!

Men were created with more muscular mass , more stamina , more strength , more intellectual capacities , with the ability to design all kinds of inventions for the better and the worse but when it comes to women , they make me think (and I'm a woman) of Samson in front of Delilah or Adam in front Eve .
He shall rule over you Genesis 3:16
God knew what would happen . He cannot be fooled by women the way men are.

A man cannot be the head of his family if he has no real authority to rebuke and discipline if necessary .

First time seeing your channel. Really great discussion and produced good food for thought. Thank you for the honest discussion of females and feminism. Thank you for linking “empathy surrounded by wolves.” Really hit home for me.
Thanks for your encouragement. Appreciate it.

The Bible says no women in the pastorate.
Paul is very specific.
Paul is the apostle to everyone in the world who's not Jewish.
Listen to him.
What keeps me from the church on the regular.
Thank you for this explanation!
What's up with women dominating school environments? Why do men not want to teach elementary school?
Public schooling is unbiblical and men intrinsically realize that it's an unnecessary and toxic environment. All men who have been public schooled have experienced being punished for being masculine and told that being a compliant little girl is the ideal mode of existence, and they just don't have any interest or loyalty to that system. Praise God
I’m a man that is a teacher. The simplest answer? Parents don’t want male teachers. We’re viewed as liabilities and our teaching styles are too harsh to parents. They prefer women and neutered males.
The public school system in no way incentivizes male teachers or male leadership.
@@KennethSeeI think it’s more natural for women to desire to work with and teach younger children (elementary school aged).

Bought Rosaria's book straight away.
Our congregation was voting on a search committee. One of the first proposals raised was to control the ratio of males to females. It passed. Heaven forbid we trust only guys to find a pastor candidate.
Does your church have a procedure you can follow when a congregational vote is unbiblical?
This probably allowable since women are voting members.
I just mentioned it in context of feminism conversation.
@@JW-tg1nn wrong.
We live in a matriarchy.
"Finally, a coffee company that doesn't hate you or your beliefs" - best intro for a promo ever. It's funny cause it's true and on a spiritual level you can't even laugh about it because it's indicative of the fallen state of the world that we saints must persevere in.
This lady is awesome
She is awesome...she spent her life pushing this feminism garbage, it's good that she finally sees what she has done is wrong , and now she wants to clean up the mess she caused, I don't see how, its gone to far. We need strong Godly men in the church to take the lead , there is nothing from this lady I want to hear.
Hope you will discuss this problem of feminism more thoroughly to impress on
Christians how destructive it truly is and how it has adversely affected our western culture, including 1 Corinthians 11 and its imprtant symbolism.
Feminism is rampant in the LDS church
I can only say that I am praying for everyone involved in this ministry. Feminism does not seem to be the problem here. Women make wonderful leaders, so let's encourage them and motivate men to love caring for their homes. I am a little heartbroken but my hope is in the God of the universe who has written each person's life most intricately.
It thrives in the Roman Catholic Church also.
It annoys me this worldly feminist attitude that is even in the church.
Even the word is preached with this "let's not offend the women" attitude.
love this dear lady.
One big one. Beth Moore
Your difficulty is grammatical and not theological
Decades? Feminism is a century+ whether you're starting from the 1840s or 1920a
I'm not reformed (determinism) but I enjoy your channel and agree with you on many other areas including this topic (feminism vs the family), post-millenial/partial-preterist (like RC Sproul), and the supernatural interpretation of Genesis 6:1-5 (I studied under Dr Michael Heiser).
Joel preaches the gospel while the "churches" you reference are busy hosting and attracting carnal men with a therapeutic gospel.
Joel, Rosaria Butterfield is a feminist. She has taught men from the pulpit and is a part of the TGC. She also has said that the Christian community needs to be more loving like the Sodomite community. Do your homework, she is a Feminist.
My understanding is that she thinks families must let sodomites into their homes and around their children
Great show!
41:26 is exactly how I feel and its biblical;
Nonreformed here but i love your stuff
It saddens me that non calvinisnts don't have as deep and robust content reformed people do, as much of a leightonite goes I enjoy much of Joel's content
@@MisertheWizer oh okay ?
Am I the only one hearing all kinds of feedback throughout the podcast? A good example is 7:46. It’s incredibly distracting.
Feminism is like a beautifully decorated cake full of fiberglass and razor blades.
Amen build around Christian economy I been saying a few months ago we need to start doing not supported non Christian that don't support Christian beliefs
Great subject, keep ut going because us man have very little influence MANY times.
Little positional influence but more natural influence. There are still natural gifts you have as a man you can use. But I agree it's an uphill battle.
Did you try to be the spiritual head of your family? The priest of your family? There's no woman that would not submit and honour that.
@@terrymiri
Are you that sure Terry ? We women are very special" animals " . We have proved to be everything but trustworthy , too changing , too emotional .
Didn’t expect live ADs😅
Do you believe that the 19th amendment has any biblical justification or the opposite. That it violates biblical principles of headship for instance?
Women voted from the beginning, we see that in history books, then it was taken away and only land owners could vote. Women also served in gov. Blacks couldn't vote either before 19. You want it gone? Then 90% of men cannot vote either because they do not own their land which was a voting requirement.
I know a woman that will not go to a church unless she can be a praise and worship leader. I dont understand that at all.
I thought you were Matt Walsh in the tiny little picture on the front page- then I though is that Mike Winger😂
In my experience women tend to think every feeling or thought they have is there friend or the need for it all no matter what it is to be validated at all cost. It’s like they see every spirit as something that should be integrated and they allow the demonic spirits in because of it.
She is still teaching over men. I can still sense her ego in all that she says. Also trans didn't stop feminism I is as strong as ever.
World Magazine is apparently worldly. Go figure.
Isn't this video contrary to 1 Timothy 2,
which prohibits women from being teachers in the church?
The elephant in the room 😂
This is my question too. I don't want to stir things up. I'm really trying to understand.
What do you mean when you guys say "this world is not meant for hirelings"? Id like somebody to expand on that please. The onset of where I generated that question is from around the @43:15 mark ongoing for the next 5 minutes or so.
Weird... I have no audio. I was just listening to something else on TH-cam, Bluetooth is off, volume is maxed... weird....
The Orthodox Church is the only church that never had this problem....
