@@donaldcummings8407That's still a good thing though as the Fever ticket prices went from an average of $60 to $170. This will also help out the surrounding businesses as well because of the bigger crowds. Even the teams she's visiting has ticket prices doubled and tripled along with some moving into bigger arenas while others are opening up sections that's been closed. Yet, I just read an article about A'ja Wilson making a comment about how this is only happening because she's white. Meanwhile, there's plenty of other white female basketball players in the WNBA and none of them is bringing in the attention Caitlin Clark is bringing. They should all be happy as this could mean bigger paychecks if she turns out to be a superstar and continues to bring in fans.

Picking her up full court just spreads the floor even more, she actually likes it when teams do that. Christie Sides really sounds like she doesn't like Caitlin she needs to be fired she has a great 3 point shooter who she wants to make a long 2 point shooter.
Clark just got in the league she will find her shot if given the chance and not have her hands tied
She has a potential superstar and she she want's to turn her into a mediocre player maybe she should concentrate more on why her players can't even catch a pass from from a just out of college player (Caitlin Clark) or they can't even make simple layups.

The issue here is giving private feedback that should be between the coach and the player to the public. Caitlin is helping to boost the popularity of the league. Seriously, if you are a player, do you want to play in an arena full of audiences or in an empty arena? Not to mention, boosting ticket sales = boosting ticket prices. More people watching = more advertisements = more sponsors. All I am trying to say is all these will eventually translate into players salaries and sponsorships. 💵💵💵💵💵💵💵 Well, unfortunately all these come a little to late for the older players. BUT the older players can still be hired back as television analysts, 🤔only if they can speak some nice words and not all hates. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Just pointing out what happened. There’s a difference playing against kids vs not. A lot of good college players didn’t even make a roster. Yes, she’s a generational talent as a shooter. But it make take her a little time to adjust. She’ll be fine, but if you can’t even talk about where she struggled, then what’s the point?

But some of the older player are playing like thugs, That is not basketball, more like roller derby and trying to push players over the railing. How many other people like me will find that a turn-off. Here thevWBNA has an Opportunity to become relevant. So don’t let some of the older players ruin it. They should be reminded that money in the owners pocket will benefit the players as well.

@@siegpaulsen7016 because this older player in particular was a pundit at the time, and everyone was slobbering over logo 3s. That same older player had gone through a similar transition, even with far less attention at the time. And what is hilarious is that the second part of her quote (where she says Clark will figure it out/will be fine) is never reported.
This is similar to the attention Bronny is getting. When he goes to the G League EVERYONE is going to target him to make a name for themselves. Of course, the big difference is that Clark has talent, and Bronny’s attention is undeserved. But the result is the same - people will play harder/tougher against her because it’s her. And like Taurasi said - she will be fine in the long run. But (at least) that first game was a struggle.

Hi, I totally "agree" with your observations and comments and it's time for Indiana Fever Coach Christie Sides to pack her bags and be shown the DOOR 🚪! ! * It's time for Coach Christie Sides to GO ! ! * Let "Caitlin Clark" be herself and shoot those 3-Point shots and excellent passing abilities and a team player... * Don't let Coach Christie Sides ( ruin ) another excellent basketball player... * "Caitlin Clark" has ( Basketball Records ) and Coach Christie Sides has ( NO ) basketball records, except for more game loses and losing Seasons... * I have lost all ( faith and confidence ) in Coach Christie Sides and it's time to let her GO ! ! * Let: "Caitlin Clark" be herself and her God-given basketball abilities... * It's time for Coach Christie Sides to GO ! ! Sad..., but true. "Semper Fi" Mike in Montana :)

I can honestly say, I rarely watched NBA games, before Jordan came along. When he hit his stride, I used to watch, just in case he had "One of those games!" I didn't want to miss it. I feel as if this woman, and the match up with her former college rivals, could signal the beginning of what the WNBA has been waiting for. Only time will tell, but this could get very interesting. Will CC's games become must watch TV?

She's a VERY good player. She white. She's polite. She's friendly. She's straight. She works well with her teammates. She doesn't appear to be any kind of "activist". That combination of characteristics makes her interesting to watch for a lot of people and it gives the WNBA something it didn't have very much of before.

I’ve watched the WNBA here and there for a few years, and subscribed to their league pass since it was only $18. What’s weird watching it this season is the very real division between old and new players. Players like Caitlin, Kelsey, A’Ja, Sabrina, Brianna, etc just look different on the court than others. Faster, shoot differently. It reminds me of when the NBA changed overnight and suddenly someone like Roy Hibbert went from a big piece in the ECF to out of the league

Christie Sides has only been an assistant coach for 20 years (until last year) in a failed basement league.
She has no clue what she has with Caitlin, and she does not have the acumen (coaching experience) to build a successful team around Caitlin.
Numerous pro player legends ( who have been coached by the best basketball coaches in the world) like Steph Curry, Shaquille O’Neal, Isaiah Thomas, Magic Johnson, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Luka Dončić, and Trae Young all have said the Caitlin Clark is one of the best players to have ever played the game.
Christie Sides ( 🤡😂 Coach😂🤡) last week said that Caitlin has a bad habit of hanging around and just dancing and not taking the correct shot.
Some one needs to tell assistant coach Sides that Caitlin had broken every shooting record in NCAA history and that Caitlin had 1,140 assists in the NCCA. I’m not sure sure what planet Sides has come from, but I’m pretty sure she never watched Caitlin play in college.
I’m also pretty sure that Sides is a low rate coach and is out of her league when it comes to being able to take advantage of Caitlin’s attributes. Caitlin is the only player in NCAA history(including men) to have scored a 40 point triple double in an NCAA. No other players including Larry Bird, Michael Jordon, or Shaq has done it (40 points). For Sides to tell Clark that during her college career that she just stood around and danced trying to figure out what shot to take, was very condescending and is proof that she is not a real high caliber leader or coach. Let’s hope this clown (Sides) does not ruin the momentum that Clark has brought to this welfare league. Get rid of Assistant Coach Sides and hire Lisa Bluder before you guys destroy a good thing.

Personally, I got love for baby girl. I was never a fan of the WNBA because I know that it is a they/them dominated league and the they/thems create a very hostile and uncomfortable environment for the few real women in that league. However, Clark is a real woman, in a relationship with a man and she is not promoting the evil alphabet agenda. I'm sure the entire league, including the they/thems on her own team are jealous of her but it's too late now. The entire league should bow down and thank her because she has single-handedly done what all of those they/thems collectively could not do. She has given the WNBA a higher level of respect among professional sports leagues in the former USA.
